  • A bunch of assorted tools and other items from a couple of estate sales over the weekend. Lots of nice tools mostly.

Putting a bunch of tools into a bag to hide the SK and Snap On is a good idea.

They were all good wrenches, the two Snap-on have a higher resale value if I wanted to move them on. SAE SK is only worth something to guys like me who play with ancient mechanical devices. The open end 1930's Billings, Willians and so on are just cool, but not worth big dollars on the resale market. I always bundle, filling bags with everything, the seller can dump the bag and itemize everything if they want. I deal with the same four or five liquidation company's that run these sales, they know I am a repeat customer and I will be at the next sale, and I help them move a lot of stuff out. They don't nickel and dime me, one dealer did that and is now blacklisted. This is all cool stuff, but I don't need any of it, I can walk away or ignore a sale and not lose sleep over it.

Don't loan your tools out to anyone. Say I don't loan tools out. Just let them buy their own tools.

I keep a pile of cheap chinesium tools for loan outs now. Stuff I get for next to nothing at estate sales.

    S-K, not "S and K"

Doesn't matter to me now as when they shipped tool production overseas they became S and Gone around here. Except for vintage tools, these I still use and will continue to buy. I am very disappointed that this happened.
