@@DJWOWW100 I had the same question in mind 6 months ago, now I can't stop thinking about getting an additional one on my board. it's one thing to use them individually, but when you start to combine them, that's when things start to get really interesting (like when Scott used the octaver and the filter together - kinda like synthbass right? add some grit/dirt stuff on it and it gets even moog-ier).

Ooh I also love that "CHORUSAURUS" pedal sound that is set to really fast. I've been looking for something to create that Beach Boys "Good Vibrations"-type sound on my bass.

Excellent review of the Aguillar pedals, are they all analog? I own the Octamizer. I like that the plugs are all in the back, that saves a lot of pedal board space. I am an SBL member btw, recommend it highly. And yes, you have the coolest shed on the planet.

I was very tempted by the Agro when I was shopping for bass overdrive pedals, but it has no clean blend. Now I'm just going to emulate it with the Aftershock and save $50

hey scott, how can you say that the agro retains the low frequencies? it's not true at all, it desperately needs a blend control. that's a pity 'cause the distortion quality is good.

ide love to win this! im quite new to the whole bass playing scene. ive been a viewer for a long long time now. sadly the only things i own are an Eastcoast Bass and a really cheap Orange Bass Amp. im not trying the whole sob story crab im just stating it would help me alot. im in a small band with my friends and we play songs by bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Sour, Slipknot, AC/DC, Rolling Stones, Red Hot Chilli peppers , etc.

One question...With the Agro one...Are you able to get this kind of sound? (i attach a video with time stamp: th-cam.com/video/bdrsUZDapGU/w-d-xo.html ) I´m trying to get more or less the same effect and after checking many video of distorsion pedals, i think this is the nearest of them...
Just get the Source Audio Aftershock. Then the world is your oyster as far as overdrive/distortion/fuzz is concerned
The Agro should include a noise gate because it is very noisy.

Strongly disagree on the agro. Awesome tone but I sold it cause it kills the low end
I tried out The Octamizer, and the Ebs octabass in the real world and they don't track that well. The Mxr Octave deluxe is the Master.
The EBS tracks well...the last version.
hey scott let me ask you something. what are the chances aguilar is paying you to do this? Now dont get me wrong, I ask because I've been eyeing the Octamizer for a while now on the internet and it always sounds great on videos. But recently I went to a store to try one out and honestly the tracking was pretty fucking garbage. Thoughts on this? Was it maybe a singular faulty unit? Would like to get your opinion on this since i'm looking to replace my OC-3 (since its kinda garbage too).
