Game looks coming along nicely. I kinda liked the collision on npcs though, it gives interaction, I mean atleast there's no blood particles that would be too much maybe for a game like this. But overall what you did was fine too.

Keep the collisions it's very fun, maybe make them aliens or monsters so that it doesn't look brutal
