Another good episode. Was hoping to see Pirate Alex but guess he has gone back to see. And a little more Smutpuss would make the video perfect. My Railway adventures have taken a turn and now planning a kato track n gauge layout. So got to start selling my OO gauge locos to fund N gauge ones.
Thanks for the comment, Smutpuss has been hiding out up the other end of the house a lot lately as it's getting colder but he'll probably be down in the railway room with me once the heating starts going on more often. He's recovering but still gets a twitch every now again beneath the eye. Kato Unitrack can be pretty versatile. I think I have some of it spare somewhere if you're interested but I'm not sure what condition it's in. I'll go check for it during next week and see what there is if you like :) Thanks again for tuning in.
Once I've got the cliff base started I'll look into getting some brown acrylic paint and paint the track, hopefully, it'll be a bit time consuming I imagine, and there'll be all the rail chairs to paint orange a well, there's a lot of rust beside the seaside! I'm trying to get at least the ballat and some of the platforms done in time for the christma special but I'm so busy it's hard to find the time and then my medication makes me drousy til nearly midday somedays so finding the energy can take a while too. But yes, I do plan to get the rails looking a bit more realistic :) Thank again, Alex
@@Beaglington I used Vallejo 70822 for the base coat, it's close to the greyish blackish dark brown of rails in daily operation. For sidings a slightly lighter tone might be better. And some parts like bolts can be more heavily rusted here and there. It is indeed quite a job and the top of the rails need to be cleaned constantly. I wish you luck with your project, it looks great already!
@railway187 thanks for the advice, though for the amount of track I have I think I'm going to need to get some larger things of acrylic paint from a shop while trying to keep the price down. So much to do for the Xmas special (December 20th)

@@Beaglington With cheaper acrylic paint a mix of brown, a bit of black and a bit of grey may do the job too! I wish you luck the Xmas special!
