The family behind this non vegetarian eatery has a legacy of over half a century in the business. It is no wonder then that their 22-year-old Bharani Family Restaurant is Davanagere’s favourite destination especially for their mutton dishes made to traditional recipes featuring spice blends that are ground at home to this day. On a recent road trip from Hubli to Bengaluru, I stopped here to taste what was perhaps the most silken-textured lamb shank I have ever encountered, in addition to a very enjoyable khaima unde and spicy mutton dry. If you love mutton, plan a pitstop at this eatery; it’s a four or five kilometer detour from the highway, but well worth the effort getting there. Hope you enjoy this episode. Bharani Restaurant is one of the few restaurants in Davanagere which has retained it's quality and wonderful taste from many years
No , it was slightly better 10 years ago , now it's most expensive. You can get the same taste in PB road and old Davangere
