    The warrant did not specifically list the safe and contents. Liberty Safe needed to ask for a subpoena. I hope Liberty Safe is destroyed financially very soon.

    A mere apology will not erase the damage Liberty has done to our trust. Perhaps an apology, a promise to never do this again, and a commitment to pay all of Nathan's legal expenses will be more meaningful.

      They're still going to donate to the Liberal Left ! I don't care what their new policy is.

      Nearly all other manufacturers do the same thing. I've called 6 of them and was told basically " we will cooperate with all law enforcement".

      They’ve donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to woke politicians. Nothing can redeem them except Monomoy Capital Partners divesting from the company.

    You are the FIRST to acknowledge that the safe's lock mechanism was mechanical. Thank you for that! Everyone is complaining that there's some secret "backdoor" and that Liberty is the only one that "keeps codes" which is not the case - and while unusual for most of us males (to read the documentation) is that it's pretty clear in the documentation that comes with your new safe is that they know what those combos are and it's incumbent on YOU to change them or to tell them to "forget" them. at the end of the day the best that you can do (unless you've installed a security safe yourself and obfuscated things such as the bolt and lock set and even then...) is keep someone out for a period of time. Even the best of vaults have their weaknesses. My storage plan includes fire resistance and keeping a couple knuckleheads out for several minutes until someone can show up and "convince" them to leave.

    • @poorboyz888
      @poorboyz888 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      untrue,they do keep a back code you have to request they remove then reset your lock.

    The problem isn't the lack of apology, it is the amount of anti 2 A politicians and causes that the owners have given a lot of money to. They also were posturing to get safe storage laws installed so that they could sell more safes due to congressional mandate. This is not recoverable. They don't deserve to survive.

      Agree 100%. All this talk about how they/someone should say they're sorry and will never do it again. Only a fool would believe that. I saw a review of the parent company's support of progressive, liberal political causes and politicians. They clearly do NOT care about their customer's constitutional rights. Yes, I feel sorry for the employee's of the company who are caught in the middle of the fray. The only way out might be for employee buy out/ownership with some conservative financial backing in an attempt to resurrect the brand. That seems like a long way from reality.

  • @roysuggs3635
    @roysuggs3635 ปีที่แล้ว +11

    it is my understanding that if you change the combination on a mechanical lock you void the warranty. Pay attention to who liberty safe leadership donates to politically.

    • @toms6841
      @toms6841 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed. If one learns about the parent company, their liberal progressive leanings and financial support they would run, not walk away.

    Used to be local locksmiths would often only have 10 to 15 combo's. I found this out when I git an old safe and called a local lock smith to open it. He quickly started dialing combinations until it opened. He knew by the dealer sticker who sold the safe new. From this he knew the common combinations used by that dealer.

    Was about to buy one. Sent this message to their support line and posted on their instagram instead:
    I was about to buy one of your safes, a Colonial model. It’s a fantastic safe, one of the best on the market for the price.
    When I was researching your company though, I learned about some things. Not just the issue with providing law enforcement with safe codes without a warrant - I can overlook that. Assisting law enforcement, even in a misguided way, is at least admirable in some respects.
    What bothered me was the continuous political donations of Monomoy Capital Partners, totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars, to fundamentally anti-LIBERTY and anti-American politicians.
    You’ve entered the wrong business. Would love to see Monomoy divest from what was once a great American business and is now a disgrace.

      I understand that complaint and do agree with it but let’s be honest. Most brands are owned by conglomerates who donate to political parties that go against the constitution.
      It’s so difficult to keep track of everything.
      Not trying to have a gotcha moment, but just curious if you research every single product you consume from food to personal hygiene products? I try to as much as possible but find it exhausting.

      @@fossil-bit8439 of course not, but their primary market is gun safes.

    I also required the safe lock mech be replaced when I purchased mine - there was nothing stopping the dealer (and the person who changed the lock mech) from telling the manufacturer what the serial number for the new mech was but I'm reasonably sure they didn't - even with that I changed the admin combo after a full reset after the container was installed and they had left. That's not to say there's no other way based on the lock mech's model to get in without destroying the container but that would be corporate suicide if that information ever got out just as we're seeing at Liberty Safe....

  • @jfssparky
    @jfssparky ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I didn't realize you was a dealer, I was thinking manufacturer. I understand your position now. I worked for a small business HVAC trade. And the owner started selling a brand then they had a recall and he had to go door to door of all his customers and replace equipment and bill the manufacturer for time and material. Most didn't want the new stuff, they wanted something different. Brand wise

  • @josephschmoe3796

    It's not just the combination issue, it's also the political donations to gun grabber politicians by their ownership group / holding company. Guess what, I'm in the market for a premium safe and Liberty is no longer in consideration. You probably need to switch suppliers and you cannot discount them enough for me to buy one. Good luck..

    • @realtyrocks1969
      @realtyrocks1969 ปีที่แล้ว

      Make sure you don't buy one that also S&G or Securam because they manufacture about 95% of all locks on safes and they will give the codes to law enforcement too. Also remember that all supposedly "safes" under about $7000 are rated Residential Security Containers which means they can be broken into in about 5 minutes anyways.

      Well, until prosecutors went after Donald Trump, Apple gave access to his I phones without any warrant. Apple will deny access to terrorists I phones no matter how many warrants and subpoenas are given, (which they should deny) for ever, but not Donald Trump. No warrant, no subpoena, no problem.

    What do you suppose would have happened had Liberty told the feds to go pound sand? Do you imagine they would have thrown up their hands and said "oh well, I guess we're not getting in to this box?" Not hardly! They would have sliced that thing open like a a ripe mango, either on site or back in their labs, destroying the "safe" in the process and most likely doing significant damage to the contents. How would the accused criminal in Alabama have been any better off then? There either was or wasn't evidence the feds will want to use in court inside the "safe," but Liberty's actions didn't change whether or not the feds got to see inside - that was a foregone conclusion.

    Liberty Safe shouldn't have to apologize for assisting with the search warrant process involving the investigation of a domestic terrorist. I personally believe terrorists should be investigated to the fullest extent of the law. I love how the gun community says they're law-abiding, but then when something like this happens, the law, the crimes, and the investigation don't matter. This Nathan person fought against the valid election of a US president and joined an unruly and deadly mob. As far as I'm concerned, terrorists have no rights.
