- Did you know Sansa Stark has a slightly different appearance in the books and has to pretend to be Littlefinger's daughter in the Vale? This short uses evidence from A Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords, A Feast for Crows, A Dance with Dragons and The Winds of Winter.
A Game of Thrones theory explained, prepare for The Winds of Winter release date with a theory video of George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire book series and something to think about while waiting for HBO's House of the Dragon Season 2.

True. And 'ugly' characters will always be prettier in shows/movies, due to studios insisting on casting beautiful people for 'ugly' roles. Like Ramsay's actor for example is objectively pretty, unlike book Ramsay with his worm-fucking lips
@@anormalperson7161Well that and it's hard to find objectively ugly actors

Agreed
And nor is there any reason why Little Finger’s daughter wouldn’t have known of Jon’s position as the bastard of Winterfell

Dude is a complete child groomer and sex slaver, I'm always baffled this character has so many fans.
Gross
@@thomaschaumeil3878 Yea, it also makes one wonder how many "Jeynes" does he hold in his brothels, considering the events are very likely to leave many common children, including girls, orphaned and unprotected😔
As someone who hit puberty around 10/11 and had a grown spurt at the same time, the fact that 11 year old Sansa is sexualized and lusted after by grown men is so deeply uncomfortable and disturbing. I feel like the GOT fandom tends to overlook or dismiss the inherent grossness of most Sansa ships, I don’t think I’ve ever seen her paired with anyone remotely her own age (aside from Joffrey, but I’ve never seen anyone actually ship them)
It probably adds to her trauma, I think she’s still innocent and naive but has a more developed body.
historically speaking, ordinary people/commoners are marrying in their 15-16 back then, only highborn married in 12 or less since they have means to provide themselves and live in comfortable life and to bond with other houses. the life expectancy was 40 years old. people over 40 years old are considered old.
with all of these over 40 years old left over catlady women in modern society, i'm not surprised if the west is up to rise legal age to 40.
so that men dating women less than 40 years old will be considered pedos.

Describing an 11 year old as womanly creeped me out
Well kt shouldn’t its the truth
@@alexatanasov9573
It’s not the truth.
All eleven year olds are little children. Even if they have boobs they’ll still have a baby face.
I mean overall despite the slight appearance discrepencies I think everyone in got was exellently cast, but Sophie Turner particularly, come on she was practically born for it in terms of distinguishing features
She has very sophisticated, aristocratic features! So elegant and thin. And she’s a good actress, there were so many subtle moments when she delivered emotions without openly showing them bc her character couldn’t show how she feels openly at that moment
The actress is not a natural redhead though. She dyed it for the part.
It seems like the role of Sansa was made for Sophie❤
Honestly, Sophie did great, but it was a very different version of Sansa. Sansa in the books, especially the earlier ones, is wide-eyed, cheerful, extremely kind, and much younger. Sophie's version has a more quiet kind of politeness, and comes off more as an edgy teenager than a child with a head full of songs.
@@infjelphabasupporter8416bruh are you serious? she definitely starts off that way as a wide eyed innocent but obviously given the tragedy she experiences it’s not really right for her to be cheery all the time. she goes through some horrible shit. i think sophie did a great job
@@helloitsme7058 I'm not saying that she wasn't in the show... But trust me in the books she was younger, and therefore a lot more polite and energetic. She also remains warm and friendly after her trauma. She becomes more cunning, yes, but she loses nothing if what made her special. What makes her special is that she doesn't lose all her idealism and empathy even after enduring extreme trauma, unlike her sister. She even thinks Joffrey's death is terrible, and despite hating him can't stand to see it. Afterwards she also becomes a sort of maternal figure for Sweetrobin and genuinely cares for him. She's more similar in a lot of ways to the Margaery of the show.
Sophie did a great job, she couldn't be a better fit for this role, but if she had to play the character differently from the books is not because of her, but the writers... as always...
Sansa was supposed to be prettier than Cersei and Sophie just isn't in the same league as Lena Headley

GRRM makes all his characters all so young. Robb is what 16? Duncan the Tall is 18. Sansa and Arya are both little children
He wanted to have a 5 yr gap after Tyrion killed tywin
But scraped the idea
@DreamfyreI find their older ages more realistic.
@Dreamfyre Sansa I can understand why she was so young because it explains how she’s so innocent and taken advantage of. However I prefer to hear stories of older young people trapped in marriages than a more developed 11 year old and men lusting after her. It’s like woah! Make her 15/16, more of an age I can see her more of marrying age.
And I’m not sure if Robb could really commands a army after being what? 14? Arya is 9 give or take and able to survive on her own? Then again it’s his story.
@@fazediamond5671 that would explain a lot of things
@Dreamfyre I have to agree with you one Sansa and Arya. Arya’s survival is probably based on her being more mature, and intelligent than the older Sansa.
Is Sansa just plain stupid or naive? At 11 I can’t really blame her for being “stupid” she was probably given a lot of attention for looking like cat. Being the most beautiful girl in the family.
Not only that but she’s not expected to do much but look pretty, and marry as she’s female.
Rob I think is 14, not sure when he goes to war. He’s the heir of Winterfell, I don’t see him being allowed to go to war. I can definitely see the older Robb of HBO as he’s older and has more wisdom than a child. Young Robb I have a bit of a hard time believing he can command a army or be taken seriously even if he proves himself. Where does his skill come from? Was he trained? Often times war isn’t what we think it is and it’s often shocking and gory.
Sansa does seem delusional and stupid, it could just be her personality. I would be surprised if she doesn’t develop insanity by the end of the series
Wait, why would a bastard of Littlefinger not know that the bastard of Winterfell is Jon Snow? That seems exactly like something a Littlefinger bastard would know. I think a Littlefinger bastard would probably be better educated or at least more knowledgeable than many of those that are highborn.
There isn't the same context in the clip as the books. Sansa is pretending to be Littlefinger's bastard daughter 'Alayne' and her backstory is that she was raised by the faith for most of her life, which is why no one's heard of her. The clip refers to a chapter where Sansa is being questioned by Myranda Royce, who tells her that Jon Snow is the new Lord Commander and that a new High Septon has just been elected. Sansa responds to her asking about Jon Snow and not the High Septon, which makes sense for Sansa, but for 'Alayne' (who's meant to have spent her life training in the faith) it doesn't, she'd be far more interested in the new High Septon.
Myranda is very likely suspicious of Sansa's true identity and was trying to get Sansa to out herself with her questioning, and succeeded.
@@matthewhart9610Myranda needs to lay off, maybe she’s just a hormonal teen
@@matthewhart9610LF did say Miranda is dangerously intelligent though. I think anyone else wouldn't have bat an eye at knowing about Jon Snow he is very well known due to Ned raising him. That and you could also put it as a bastard girl being intrigued at another bastard in a high position.

That the serie ages up some characters is one of the best decisions they made, also making Tyrion look more human.
So what your saying is Sophie was the perfect casting choice for Sansa…
I went to school with a girl who, when she was 12, had F-cup breasts. She absolutely despised them, because she enjoyed running and they just got in the way; she had to wear two sports bras for support. Also, grown men would hit on her all the time, some of whom were not deterred when she revealed herself as not even a teenager.
By the time she graduated from high school her breasts had grown to I-cups, but she was still 5' 3" and about 120 lbs; her breasts accounted for close to 20% of her weight. She could no longer run, so she took up swimming instead. She had been diagnosed with macromastia, but she couldn't get reduction surgery until they stopped growing.
She graduated before that could happen, but I understand she was finally able to get reduction surgery in her early 20's.
that sounds really tragic. my mom had it a bit similar and recently got a reduction surgery, she's never been happier. it's just yucky when grown men try to describe little girls as "womanly" or anything along those lines.
Any woman that gets reduction surgery is extremely selfish.
@Josh-99 Any woman who gets reduction surgery is extremely selfish.
I’ve never had the interest in reading the books, but now… the books sound 100 times better!!!

I always wondered if the woman the witch warned Cersei of was Sansa
I think it will be her
Ooooo! Damn! At 1st I was thinking Margery (duh), but then I was thinking Dany. Now I’m wondering if she meant Sansa… 🤔
In the end it's just all a bunch of bricks
No, it's certainly Daenerys for thematic reasons. Throughout her reign, she was constantly reminded and warned of a Targaryn dragon queen, yet she always shoves it off, fousing instead on her petty jealousy with Margaery.
The good leader, Jon Snow, is said to be quite observant and open-minded in nature. He understands intentions, how things fit in, and how one thing interacts with the other. To accomplish his goals, he indulges in what would be ridiculous things like prophecies, culturally unimaginable stuff, some beacons, greenhouses, intellectual fat boys, and everything else. He misses nothing, and won't shove aside something because it won't fit his world view. If I recall, he even wishes he had dragons to fight off the Others.
In this regard, he is the polar opposite of Cersei. And of course, this very thing is going to come back and bite her. It's what built up in the books.
I think Sophie is extremely beautiful
Nog an extreme in any way. A 6, 7 at her best day.

I assume that everyone’s features in the books are more apparent compared to the actors. Especially Tyrion, and all the women characters. George really makes it a point to describe how ugly Tyrion is so you understand why everyone treats him like shit for more than just the dwarfism. It’s the same thing with someone like Margery or Sansa, George always describes their beauty so I assume they’re like super models just walking around😂
I feel sorry for Sansa, 11 years old and “womanly” it just makes her more of a target.
Natalie and Sophie look like supermodels to me! So do Cersei, Dany, and Misande, btw! I think they’re all ridiculously beautiful! Yeah it may be subjective, but that’s my personal opinion 😊
@@TrinaGallodisagreee with Cersei, Lena its beautiful on her own for sure, but that damn wig and the eyebrows mismatch colour always looked uncanny in the series, and doesnt relate with the description of the books
Fun fact: Sophie Turner has blond hair and they dyed it red for the first 6 seasons. Her hair got so fried and they wanted to do more elaborate hairstyles, she started wearing wigs.
I’m glad they did wigs, her poor hair needed a rest.
1. She is strawberry blonde, which is a reddish blonde.
2.They only used non permanent dye which is very mild.
3.She cut her hair of for a movie role, that's why she started wearing wigs in season 7+8.
4.That is also when she has the least elaborate hairstyles.
The entire realm knows that Ned Stark has a bastard. It's not even an open secret. People just know. He doesn't keep Jon hidden. He's raising him right beside his true born children.
Yeah, it would be the medieval equivalent of modern drama. Totally everyone knows.
It's kinda disturbing for a grown man to describe an 11yo like that.
It would be, but this is just a badly researched video. He's reading stuff straight from the wiki without realizing (or caring about) that it comes from different books.

These have gotten slowly worse over time. How can a book character be more beautiful then an actual person? Everyone would envision the book character looking differently. That’s the point. It’s your interpretation. Sophie Turner is an actual person (and she’s gorgeous). All this shows is that you’re lusting over a fictional 11 year old. Good job.
Is the same actress that plays sansa at 13 in the series also the one who plays sansa in the later seasons when she's older? I can't tell if it's the same person or not
I hated how this character was handled on the show, because her arc is so much more interesting in the book, and it seems like it's only going to get better... if George finishes the books. 😂
Omg. Unreal. Can’t believe you’re trying to say Sophie turner is not as pretty as Sansa. I’ve read the books so many times they were falling apart and I listen to them every night to sleep. She was perfectly cast. Tall, AUBURN hair, blue eyes, beautiful.
Sophie is pretty beautiful in the show, man.
It’s so creepy to describe an 11 years old as “womanly”
It's easy to describe someone as beyond beautiful or whatever. Like in the Harry Potter books, the way they describe Veela's unnatural beauty, not easily translated tk the screen.
I swear what she has been through is no joke.... The character arc is just 🔥
A bastard wouldn't be aire of the castle. Only a true born, unless you could get the king to legitimize her. Like they did with Ramsey Snow becoming Ramsey Bolton.
Maybe get Robert Arryn as king so he legitimizes her
Yeah but Littlefinger only has Sansa as a known child right now. Of course if he had a son or a trueborn child, they’d be his immediate heir instead. Or if not, a family member perhaps instead, although I don’t think we have learned about any of his relatives.
Considering she’s littlefinger’s only “child”, she would be the heir. Ramsay is the heir to the dreadfort even before he was legitimised. But if littlefinger ever married again and had a child with his new wife boy or girl, Alayne wouldn’t be the heir to harrenhal anymore
@@hi-ls6lt He has no children, so he's free to choose whatever heir he likes. He could claim she's his adoptive daughter.
Also, in the book it is hinted that there is a twisted romantic connection between Sansa and Sandor. He's much younger in the books than in the tv show and even though he's harsh to her, he's also protective and gentle at times. A major hint is the so called "unkiss". When Sandor fled the Red Keep during the Green Fire, he urges her to come with him (as in the show) and it looks like he's about to kiss her, but leaves and only leaves his white cloak behind.
When at Harrenhall, Sansa remembers this moment, but (as GRRM calls her an unreliable narrator) she is sure that he actually kissed her and she kinda feels emotional about it, thinking "he took a song (he made her sing a song) and a kiss and left me nothing but a bloody cloak".
If I remember correctly (because I read the books in 2012), Little Finger explains to Sansa that he has big plans for her. He even pictures the scene where she comes in the big hall with her red hair and a white cloak with the Stark crest. But I do not remember if he explains to her that she'll marry the "Targaryen" that's currently and coincidentally with Tyrion (but he doesn't know that Tyrion is alive). But I do remember that they kiss like a lot in the books 🤢
He wants her to marry Harry Hardyng who is Robert Arryn's heir.
I doubt Littlefinger knew about Aegon until Storm's End was taken by Aegon. Heck, I do think Aegon will be interested but Littlefiger won't be thrilled. And Aegon's going to be married to Arianne by then who I'm not sure will be happy to share being queen.
To be honest, HE kisses her a lot. Creepy pedo vibes out there. Even book Sansa starts understanding how twisted he really is.
He's trying to unite the North, the Riverlands, and the Vale under Sansa. First through birth, second through his own position, and third by marriage. If then, Harry Hardyng happens to have an unfortunate accident, the Vale would be too deep to retract and stay remain undere Sansa. Then she's free to marry again, the best choice being Young Griff.
I hope Little Finger gets as satisfying a death in the books as he did in the show.
As much as the later seasons sucked that death made me happy.
The writer of the book had some serious issues 🫤😐 in the book jon and arya are gf and bf too 😐 and majority of girls he describes as sexy etc are children under 18 and sexy men are over 30 or are super old 🫤 There is something wrong with the writer
No, they're not. Stop lying and pretending that you've read the books when you clearly haven't.

This is the medieval times, people lived till 40s, 50s max (if you were a noble), commoners lived until like 30.
It's why humans (especially females) go through puberty so quickly, naturally we don't live too long and die easy. Back then 14 year old couples having children wouldn't be uncommon, it's gross asf to think about now, but most things back then were.
More beautiful? Is that even possible?!
I agree.
Joffrey wasn’t the target at the purple wedding. Little finger wanted to kill Tyrion to relieve Sansa of her marriage. Which would give LF the key to the north and would allow him to attempt to seduce and marry Sansa to gain control over the Vale and the North
Oops!
Hm, I always assumed it was supposed to be a two birds, one stone kind of deal. Kill joffrey and have tyrion be executed for it
@@eospolaris9472 Joffrey and Margery were drinking from the same cup. So trying to poison Joffrey through the wine risks killing Margery as well. Tyrions pie May have been poisoned because after Joffrey takes a bite he dies. And that’s why they thought he may have choked. Tyrion never eats the pie in the books
this videos are fun and i eat them up but maybe credit the artist onscreen!
11 years old should never be described as “womanly” that’s some predator shit
Bastards arent allowed to inherit
If there are no other heirs they have a claim.
@@blizzardgaming7070 do you Have heard that a bastard ever was allowed to inherit?
@user-ed7do9sd7w You're right, she would not be considered immediately the heir. It would be a situation similar to the Hornwood inheritance and Larence Snow who needs to be explicitly named heir. But she's not actually Littlefinger's bastard anyway 😅
@@Titanium_TitaniumI’m assuming you didn’t see what happened with the boltons or the Starks.
I can’t imagine her more beautiful than the series
The bastard of Littlefinder ain't supposed to know about the bastard of the main houses?
Little finger is a well known man in Robert court everyone in court could known that.
I love sansa, en el final de juegos de tronos la odie, luego tuve que ver de nuevo juegos de tronos para darme cuenta del potencial del personaje , y termine amandola ❤
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess because I think she fits the description perfectly
well im pretty sure u can draw characters better looking than any realistic person the girl who played sansa is gorgeous irl tho
What the hell is That John and Sansa art. Outta pocket 💀
John Snow being the bastard of Winterfell isn't a secret (him not being so is). Winterfell is the capital of one of the seven kingdoms, so it's a big deal. Why wouldn't the daughter of a renowned politician know such a thing? I agree it would've been better to play dumb, but let's not overstate our case here.
"Which makes her the heir to Harrenhall" no it doesnt.😊
I also thought Jon and Sansa get merried after wathching a 55 minute video
Calling an eleven year old “womanly" is so disgusting. And no, I don't care that in the medieval age it “was ok"
No one is, though. That's just this guy not taking into account that the stuff he quotes from the wiki comes from different books. (She's still way too young and subjected to loads of disgusting shit, of course, so no one needs to yell at me for "defending" it or anything. )
@@perlundgren7797 oh maybe you misunderstood me. I agree that no one is saying it per say, I'm just pointing out how gross it is in the books and then outright saying that IDC it's the medieval age before some random incel commented it, not the guy in the video specifically
@@crazygur1y I understood, but my reply might have been unclear. 🙂 My point was that no one _in the books_ is saying that, and they don't think it's okay. When Sansa is 11, Robert and Ned agree that they'll wait a few years before Sansa marries Joffrey because she's too young. The "womanly" thing comes from a later book and is basically Cersei telling her she should start dressing like a woman. No idea why the video creator says that she's "already described" like that in the beginning, but it simply isn't true.
it was ok.
legal age fucked up your mindset.
WHEN the feminazis rise legal age to 40, you gonna see men dating women less than 40 years old as pedos.
Answer to this question yes
Why wouldn’t she know Jon Snow as the bastard of Winterfell?
Jon Snow’s position wasn’t a secret
Even his name gives it away
And Sansa’s hair wasn’t ‘redder’
It was explicitly described as auburn.
Auburn is reddish brown, ie less red
Then they really did a GREAT job with the casting of Sansa. A great beauty with gorgeous milky skin blue/green eyes. TALL and stands out. And she was so lovely on her 2nd Wedding Night.😢 I remember being so shocked that Ramsey was gonna abuse her! He didn't NEED TO DO THAT. He had so many to torture and though they don't show what Ramsey DID, as soon as they got into the room (with Theon forced to see) the audio was harrowing and went on too long. All the rapes & beatings of kids & women were longer than we needed to get the point. I hoped she would have said that the Hound can live at Winterfell, where he could either retire or serve as a guard. I imagine him a kinda boyntry hunter. I'd love a spin-off of the Hound. Lol😂
Sophie Turner is absolutely gorgeous red hair or not and Maisie is cute too
Spoiler for Winds sample chapters
Sansa is marrying Harold Harding. Since she is Alayne Stone and not Sansa. So while Petyr is waiting for Tyrion to die, with tyrion dissappeared, it seems unlikely anyone not allied with the Lannisters would care.
And Sansa's hair is not more red. It's auburn. It resembles the leaves of the weirwood tree rather than fire, but a shade or two lighter because Sansa's hair is supposedly a bit lighter than the typical Tully auburn hair
In the books, age is counted from the Nameday not the day the person is born. The day they are named can be a few years after they are born. So this probably explains the young ages
Some of the fan art in these is... interesting..
But you literally just described Sophie Turner-
That’s gonna be subjective. No matter how it’s written or what the actor looks like, beauty is always going to be subjective
As Littlefinger's bastard daughter, Sansa actually WOULDN'T be the heir of Harrenhal. Unless legitimized, bastards can't inherite
What are those low key sex fanarts ?!?
Bruh what are those Cersei and Sansa and Jon in the bed ?!??
Her hair is frequently referred to as "auburn," not red. I think they did a pretty good job with the color.
Also, never forget: Sansa and Dany are only a couple years apart, married off to men who end up working to further THEIR goals rather than their own and then falling, and who have a close 'friend' who is romantically obsessed with them. They're foils. They both start as pawns. Sansa learns to play the game and wins. Dany never learns how to and loses. Of course, Dany has many foils... but it's Sansa who destroyed her.
When I read the books, I pretended, that character ages were not mentioned.
I think sophie turner fits thr role perfectly (i haven't read the book) but i think the casting team did good work
…why wouldn’t the bastard of Littlefinger know? Littlefinger knows everything, is it hard to believe he had talked about it to his ‘daughter’ given that the Starks (Or rather Catelyn) was a close family friend?
Being Littlefinger's bastard daughter doesn't make her heir of anything. Bastards do not inherit, unless they were officially recognised by the order of king.
whaaaat made you go with THAT fanart of sansa and little finger?!
Yall are crazy on here
? The beauty standards are out of control if sophie turner isnt up to par! She matches the description perfectly. She only looks worse on the show because she arguably had the worst wardrobe. Not a single gown they put on her fit or complimented her at all. Everything was big, bulky, too long, or didnt flatter her body type with a hideous high neck and dark dingy grey.
Harrenhal isn't the richest seat. It's just the largest. It's actually the biggest sinkhole in Westeros. After Balerion burned Harrenhal, the lands it took tribute from went from ALL of the Riverlands to a mere portion, similar to the lands and incomes of any other castle.
When Maegor the Cruel sacked Harrenhal, he awarded it to House Towers, while giving the towns that paid tributes to Harrenhal to other lords, diminishing its incomes even further.
Lord Lyonel Strong only kept Harrenhal afloat due to his higher education (he had forged several links of a maester's chain when his father and older brother died, leading to him being recalled to Harrenhal). By the time of House Whent's dispossession of Harrenhal, it's little more than a large fortification with no means of sustaining its inhabitants.
I will skip Rare. Prefer loose and translucent superlight ones. It adds layer that I can see form my mobile. Love this ND on you❤
Im gettin creep vibes from whoever would desrcibe 11 year old as "womanly"
That's from a later book. It's just a poorly researched video.
Mary was twelve, yes..THAT Mary.
Why wouldn't Littlefinger's daughter know about Jon Snow?
Bastards do not inherit (unless named in the will of their legally unrelated sire or dame)(yes, in Common Law, a bastard is unrelated to its bio-mother, as well as its bio-father). Thus, if Sansa were Littlefinger’s bastard daughter, she would not inherit Harrenhall, nor one of his sheep from his original estate.
One of the few times Sansa shows any emotion towards Jon
It's a little weird to declare a real life actor falls short of the beauty described in a book. Sophie Turner did a fine job portrayjng the character.
Littlefinger was in love with Catelyn Stark and Jon Snow was supposed to be Ned Stark's bastard. Why wouldn't Littlefinger tell his natural daughter about how Ned betrayed his one love and how Catelyn could have been HER mother instead
Little Finger tried to kill Tyrion but accidentally murdered Joffrey instead. So he can’t marry Sansa
Baelish is kind of a notorious gossip, and it's entirely possible his bastard daughter grew up in King's Landing, where there would be a lot of rumors going everywhere, and when Eddard Stark showed up as hand, there is no reason someone wouldn't have mentioned his bastard son.
"Younger" doesn't always = "more beautiful", folks! That mentality is for those who peaked in high school.
But uh, yeah... Martin really needed to chill with these explicit Sansa descriptions. We GET it, man! Ugh.
Honestly, death was the best option for Myrcella in the show rather than come home to a mother like that.
Sophie Turner is, and always has been, pretty and elegant. The problem with book descriptors is that hey have to go a bit further to make their point.
