This is amazing! I'm looking online to purchase it and it is impossible to find so this must be supremely one of the rarest cassette tapes at this point in time
maybe not 'supremely' haha there are definitely rarer tapes, but i think it's pretty scarce. don't think i've seen another one pop up online since I bought this one ~6 years ago - have been periodically searching for more from "Yamaha Marine Environmental Sounds" without luck.

Ahahah, glad you enjoy the channel. I've got a few favourite channels too: 'Sounds of the Dawn' can't be beaten for new age music, 'FOND/SOUND' does great work across many genres, as do 'yaoiboi92' and 'MartyMcFlies v2'. Also +1 for 'tape escape' (mentioned by vivarc2)
Not to doubt your listening skills, but sometimes a second listen may introduce new phrasing one may not have heard the first go 'round (usually happens to me). But then again, it can open new horizons to listen to suggestions from the creator of a station one likes too.

I think that a fishes' dream would be like to live as a foll... they see humans and dream what if they were nice to me instead of trying to catch me and eat me. They have hands like what if they helped me eat and drink with those like the folls get...and what if I could breathe above water...what if they snuggled me😢

yeah this album was only released on cassette as far as i'm aware. i bought it off yahoo auctions japan in ~2018/2019 (can't remember exactly when) - i haven't been able to find out anything more about it, and i've done a bit of searching since then.

is this classifiable as kankyo ongaku genre ? it sounds very different to me
up to you how you classify it, but kankyō ongaku (環境音楽) is basically 'environmental music' from Japan - so it depends how broad you want your definition to be. however, i would lean toward no, because 「環境音楽」 is typically more minimalistic and is strongly tied to the 1980s/early 90s era, where this tape was released a fair bit later (2004 - 2008 at a guess).
