Whats the point of MITI wanting to set floor price for foreign EV at 100k? I thought it was to encourage Proton and P2 to produce sub100k EV???
That’s why Tengku Zafrul now sweating heavily in his armpits making Perodua MyEVi less than 100k in case everyone booo
features and battery type i'd say 120k is reasonably priced...since competitors mostly are priced 150k..
That will not happen before the end of 2025. This is just a dummy move to prove that the government succeeded in achieving the KPI of producing Malaysia's first EV vehicle before the end of 2025 so that it did not have time to change the Proton name on the headlamp.
Betul tu. Nak tanya lebih lajut boleh contact 017 Sebilan Lima Lima Lima Tiga lapan tiga
@@dineshroy4722 it is.. but it doesn't match the reason MITI introduced the RM100k floor price. When MITI announced it, everyone expects the first EV by Proton and P2 to be under 100k, before they introduce models like this. But probably this would have higher demand compared to a sub 100k car built like BYD Dolphin/ Neta
RM90-100K is reasonable. RM120K is a bit over priced. Better get BYD if it’s RM120K. Hope the actual price is cheaper. This car in China is only 90K
The BYD is a inferior car even compared to the original galaxy e5
Officially 64-86K there. 😊
@PscyhedMedia not really. Only issues is that BYD is better than Proton in terms of aftersales, spare parts, also durability and comfortable
@@emilylimsl9884 True. Even BYD also have better technology, good distance range and also good power too, so why need to buy proton
@@CBF2020 think its like 70k
Its funny you mention its tuned for Malaysian roads - means its tuned to handle potholes and super high speed bumps. 😂
probably their battery chassis got amoured plate? saw many other EV brand one scratch/bang at below, it dent the battery pack...and u dare to continue use EV with dented battery?
It means not that soft, china people love soft suspension so their cars setup very soft but we here love a firmer setup.

Given what MITI has done, this RM120k pricing is a disservice to the masses finding a way to jump to EV.
If it is 120k then it’s already undercut by the new byd mpev and that’s a bad look for a local car. This doesn’t look luxurious at the very least it should not be more expensive than imported brands. Proton is out of touch these days. If proton had collab with byd instead of geely we could already have a sub 100k atto 3 instead of this
Disappointed with the price & range 🙄410km?waited for so long …😞
Are there EV of the same segement that have similar or better range for the same price or cheaper?
@@quincygovin3728Ora Miao Miao which is much smaller can oredi get 500km. So a bit kemaluan that this behemoth can barely get 20% lesser only.
Overpriced for a local brand car, and the built quality seems not comparable to BYD even, good luck😂
Judging by how X70 and X90 perform and marketed, the volume will be pretty low and rebate will likely be very generous. The management seems pretty naive without focusing on either the mass market dominated by Perodua nor expanding export. Good luck.
Best EV car to date and it's from PROTON our beloved national brand! Kudos to the 100 engineers for this collaboration. Nicely designed and suitable for our local drivers. Really innovative and the price is incredibly affordable too. I will book Perodua Axia Rahmah.
estimate price is for the Prime or Premium model? please clarify it
We don't need 19" wheels for the premium model, we need more range and not adding more weight on the wheels..
19" tires are expensive, looks like e.Mas is not meant to be affordable..
Decently priced, but considering the ongoing price war, proton will have challenges to get good sales numbers consistently unless they offer any rebates to make it 10-20k lesser from here
Nah imported cars couldve got about the same price range, with taxes included.
Nonsense price allocation.
120k after zero import duty for ev car consider over priced 😢
any adas system or ICC or AEB or at least anything?
Spoil betul range, at least bateri tu blh sampai 500km+ pun dah ok..
Real world nak dapat 500km punya range memang kena ambik ev mahal macam mercedes eqs.. ev brand biasa2 mmg susah nak cecah 500km
Realistically the highest range, it should be around 350-370km given the weight and size of it, coupled also with Malaysian driving mentality. Tekan je, and tak tau apa itu regenerative brake etc.
How does it feel to levitate above all others, and feeling you're so superior.. thinking only you know what regenerative braking is? Come down to Earth, if you can.
Kena tunggu EV drp perodua dulu baru boleh set benchmark utk national EV car
Perodua EV is a home grown EV technology developed locally..
How good the technology remains to be seen..
i guess the below 100k proton EV is e.Mas 5, not e.Mas 7
Compared to Atto3? Heard price dropped 120-130K
those estimate 120k is for top spec
4:13 China Version long range can run up to 530km, why comes to Malaysia only left 410km for long range
China used Cltc standard which is not actual road usage. 410km is Wltc which is more true range achievable by our normal driving style
That is not co develope....it just fine tuning for malaysia road.....just launch it ...waste time only....look at byd e6..... no drama just lunch it recently.
1983 -Proton was established as a "national budget car" company. Rakyat got some budget cars n Proton enjoyed protectionism.
2024 -Proton let down the Rakyat by launching a EV @RM 120k.
Rakyat needs a budget EV @RM60k :(

China price geely e5 direct convert dlm rm69K utk low spec.. Kalau low spec malaysia jual rm105k dah beza rm36k.. Itu markup more than 50% dari rege asal kat China.. It is more than markup x70 dulu, klu x silap dlm 30% jer.. So my 2 cent prediction, org akan pi beli BYD M6 rasanya.. Tapi manatau Proton buat ckd nanti boleh dpt bawah rm90k, then masa ada harapan besar utk ubah EV landskap di malaysia,. Mcm Proton war-war kan masa launch tempoh hari. ✌️
Proton kalau buat ckd takde nya makin murah. Selama ni kekalkan je harga sama dengan CBU. Nak kaut untung besar

I see a lot of people think the price is too high. But this is just a pre-sale price, and the final price will definitely be reduced by at least 10,000.
Let's wait for EV release from P2
No spare tyres ?
No electric vehicle has spare tyre as far as I know.
Overpriced. This car should be sold for under rm100K.
because of proton brand 😂
damn proton markup 20k 😂😂😂
@@pdotahmad8273 yes bro. proton is national car. national car used to be cheap. what is the point of national car, if its been sell same as foreign car.
They eagerly said that their e-car is going to be cheaper and affordable for Malaysians but now, we only get minus 30k from their competitors' price. What a joke.

We already have 100+ models of 120k Suv in current Malaysia market 😂
Can be lower, but due to some dicko polisi setting the glass floor.
stop talking this is malaysian first EV, it drives from china to malaysia, remember that news?
P2, Malaysian first EV
Perhaps it's time to accept that dedicated buttons for air con are not going to be offered despite criticisms by reviewer again and again. I have long accepted it, just turned it auto mode at the temperature you like.
The Xiaomi EV comes in around RM130K??? Proton has a problem if they can't stay clear this band of pricing of RM110k to RM130K. Slamming it right in the middle is a lazy mistake.
Baik beli ...
I like it. 👍🏼👍🏼
Overprice compare to China market price although in Msia zero tax for ev car .
everyone else is saying expensive la apa la but uhmmm its C segment kot. X70 pun 100k++ what, what do yall expect?
Expect when MITI make a floor price for foreign EV to punish all Malaysian for P1 P2, Proton will be the company to fill the sub 100k market.
Proton should come with phev too
P2 collaboration with Toyota
RM120k, RM50k more expensive than in China?
what you think honda CRV or any other car price at china?

pls proton make a E segment sedan with a V8 engine
Shame about the boring black interior. Some contrasting colours would be nice, but I guess they could still surprise us during the actual launch.
Bila interior grey .., ada yg complain kenapa warna cerah nanti senang kotor….. bila hitam lebih sporty complain pulak ….
Proton pls give Option of White interior too. Indigo Blue looks horrendous. Where yr taste. Worst than x50
Hope than 120k is for the Premium model. Otherwise cancel booking n wait for P2
Overpriced. But...i think Proton as usual will give us surprise during launch
Have to forget Proton EV.. Lets wait how is peodua entering EV market
Mileage yg sangat2 turned off, 340km dan 410km utk 60kwh , yang mencacatkan segala features lain, kalau nak buat second car tu, bolehlah
500km ke atas, harga Merc, Porsche
wrong move. Proton should start with a small electric town car... same class as Myvi....That market segment is still virtually empty of affordable car
P2, end of next year
If estimated price is RM120k, government officials should change from X70 to this. It’s much a greener choice (maintenance & environment).
It really isn't much greener. 80% of electricity is generated with fossil fuel.
"Malaysia relied on fossil fuels for 81% of its electricity in 2022. Its per capita power sector emissions are below the global average.
Malaysia generates 19% of its electricity from clean sources, with hydropower providing the majority (17%). However, its share of solar and wind (1.5%) is far below the global average (13%) and less than half the ASEAN average (4.4% in 2023)."
estimate for the top spec
@@TeoTH80 at least we don't add more since those pollution is done at power plant

@@TheZaman_ True. Still think we could do better and reduce the use of fossil fuel as much as possible, but this would be a good step forward.
local car such as proton & produa cannot sell above RM40 k .. its really ridiculous..in u.k mini minor price bellow 20 k pound .. if says dollar to dollars malaysia car is really crazy in terms of prize.
Looking at all the tech, I reckon maintenance is going to be a nightmare. Proton cant even get their handbrakes right. 12 years later, so much suspension sqeaking like a babys shoe. Door handle and rubbers are all worn out . I think you will need to change your car every 5 years to own this one. Proton CO developed handling for malaysian road handling such as potholes and speed bumps? Looks like PaulTan needs to keep Proton happy.
I am disappointed on the range …. for its size at least 500 for the prime & 650km range WLTP… then actual range would be 400km & 550km…
Why must the design has some wording on it. Any option with plain color😅
that is coverup outer la budak. so noob. the wrapping will be remove during official lunch
I dont care TV laa, speaker laa, all those picit picit. I cuma nak kereta ada aircond then electric charge. Fullstop.
Goodluck with range below 450km
120k ..might as well get byd ..
120k...??? next....
Oh, come on. Geely badges on the headlights? What a half-hearted job... just make it a Geely, with Geely prices.
“So cheap…” -Rafizah Ramlah, Economic Minister of Uganda
Sayang....to expensive then expected 😢

Proton ..overprice......
simpan duit before launch ni😂
A simple rebadge job, and a big price to compensate for the new badges.
Donor maker made the car to be affordable as possible for their citizens and other parts of the world. But Proton made it can be only afford by M40 onwards. They think they’re prestigious brand but they’re just simply, stupid. 😂
RM120k for a rebatch? LOL perodua EV will sell like goreng pisang
Its super expensive for what it is
Why not get a byd then 😂
ONE TWO OH. No no no
Ridiculous pricing. Malaysian cars are just unnecessarily expensive. Decades of protectionist measures have made Malaysian car makers complacent. And Proton should have been sold to Peugoet instead of Geely.
what do you expect it to be priced at? this isn't perodua after all
@@truthurts704 It should be priced at less than RM 50000 and something like Bezza or Axia should be priced at less than 20k. That is normal pricing for cars in most countries. When I told my American friend my car instalment is RM 600++ for a 7 year loan, she was shocked. She thought I was being financially irresponsible and I bought a BMW or something. I told her that is the normal car price over here. She also said that her car loan instalment never exceeds $250 per month. So go figure. After 4 decades of producing our own cars, we still can't learn how to make cheap affordable cars. What an embarrassment. And then these Engineers at Proton thought it is a good idea to waste hundreds of millions if not billions to develop electric cars when they cant even develop their own engine, they are using Japanese engines. Can't even build affordable ICE cars and yet they think it's a good idea to build an EV. F off. It is a good thing that we already ratify the CPTPP. In a few years cheap Japanese cars will flood our market like there is no tomorrow. Let our car makers learn to adapt and provide competitive pricing.
Malaysia new cars are amongst the cheapest nowadays. Its just we earn too little . For example in UK the BYD Atto 3 is £39700.. which is RM224k ringgit... Our atto3 here only rm150k..
Mahal sial. Kereta tempatan bhai. Bukan import. Sepatutnya jauh lebih murah dari imported cars. Mmg cekik darah.
Hate the logo
Perodua? Haha
D Proton E-mas interior looks cheap for a rebadged Geely...Geely's interior looks futuristic n matching as an EV. Proton seems cheapskate in offering value for consumers' money,Proton management should wake up; giving d best value to customers, not just competing on price alone.
Better keep the car simple and cheap. All these extra items meaning more things to go wrong in long run. "Co develope" in translation the locals want extra handsout to fatten their wallet.
Stop rebatchng China cars
So disappointed
Lol what a scam. 100k ev price floor and this is what rubbish proton spits out
Ugly car but so expensive. Better buy BYD or other China car.
