One word; AWESOME!!! You've got the absolute best video presentation on all of TH-cam for this type of service/maintenance on these machines. Thank you, keep up the great work!
OK so I decided to tackle changing the 212 belts myself and I have to say your video really helped a lot I was able to do it the other day and I put both belts on and so far so good I did everything you showed to do including cranking the engine in the fifth notch with no spark plug until the clutch pedal came up seems to be working fine thank you so much👍
Thank you much this helped a lot! I was just backing out the other day and all the sudden it wouldnt move and my belt was loose. So im going to try to fix this at home. Thanks much!
I’m getting ready to take mine to the shop for the same thing,,,I was pushing some pretty deep ❄️❄️❄️❄️snow and then all of a sudden my old John Deere stop moving.
I installed the primary drive belt by putting it three the pulley 1st. But the belt does not stretch so simply like on the video where the pto clutch goes It’s tight what I’m trying to say

How did you stop the engine from spinning?
He glossed over that part, I have the same issue.
What about if you have the mower belt on the electrical pto clutch?
You have to take it off. In fact you’re going to want to take the mower deck off entirely as it’ll be in the way to do the work underneath.
@@outdoorpowerhouse wow Lot of work I will get it done tomorrow after I buy the belt sorry it is one belt only? As far that I can see.
@@alexisrios9127 there are two belts.
@@outdoorpowerhouse I was wondering if you remove the mower deck before replacing the belts. Couldn't get sockets on the bolts.
@@herbertschroeder3739 I’m not sure how you’d replace them without removing the deck. It would be difficult to have enough room to work.

The belt did not stretch in the video, the belts do not stretch.
I did the variator adjustment procedure like you did in this video, now my variator doesnt even seem to work at all? Please send help, haha
What brand/part number belts did you use?
@@outdoorpowerhouse whatever was on the machine, I just got the machine. Is there away to bring it back to where it was before I tried adjusting?
You likely just need to replace the belts. Use JD brand belts and reperform the procedure.
@@outdoorpowerhouse ok man, thanks for responding and the help, much appreciated, absolutely love the machine
No problem, good luck!
