This was Incredibly helpful. You didn't just explain, you gave suggestions, as well as giving much needed context to buttons. I'm using batteries however, so the micro USB power source threw me for a loop for a second! Well done
this explanation of phantom power is one of my favorites! seen too many videos where people mention phantom power in passing, almost as if they only say it because it sounds cool - admittedly it does sound cool. thanks for taking the time to approach this tutorial from the standpoint of actually educating people :)
my Tascan did not come with that fancy bag, but a "replacement bag" far less functional. only front pouch, not clear Velcro-attachable top to see the screen, no side pannel that could be opn to turn on or off. the entire recorder has to be taken out of the bag to make any adjustments
Yo my recorder when set to mono is producing two tracks exactly the same of both mics mixed together. I can see both volume meters separate on the interface but both in each file. How do I get it to produce individual mic tracks?
hi barry, not sure if you're still checking the comments here, but i have a question before potentially buying the DR-70D. is it possible to record BOTH the internal microphones AND external microphones simultaneously? additionally - is it possible to have BOTH the internal microphones AND external microphones be simultaneously sent through the "camera out" jack? thank you for your time!
Now this is one of the clearest, well presented tutorials I have seen so far! Time to give my recently acquired DR-70D a spin. Thanks a lot for this!
