Why did a lot of people quit the game? Because they were not playing efficiently and it led them into a very bad position, so even if they still enjoyed the game they literally couldn't play. At this point the conversation is not about "is LOA a good game or not", it's just if you want to play it you MUST play it in a certain way OR you won't play it at all very soon. Simple.

The video has good intentions but lands poorly for me because it assumes that Jump is destined to go down the same unsavory path the normal servers went. Naive or not, a lot of us are hoping things will be different - at least prior to the server merges.

Just by the comment i can say you are 100% clueless 😂. The JSS are actually perfect that the things in the title dont happen to you. There are hundreds and thousands learning groups with 0 Gatekeeping and you have an insane amount of Ressources to gain and NOT fall behind + increased % on legit everything . If one or even both of those 2 things happen to you it is 100% your fault and the game can nothing do about it.

If you mean being in a “shithole” with getting Gatekeeped and Falling behind when starting as a new player that is also a you problem. If you don't make the effort to find a Guild or even just a group of players in these type of games so that you have people you can play with to progress with, it is your fault. This is not a single player game, same as WoW etc. You are then just in the wrong game. And falling behind is just a lack of consistency on your site. If you want to be at the highest lvl in any Online Game and do the best and or hardest content you have to be consistent. The way and amount of time you need to use obviously depends on the Game, but it is similar to all Online Games with a Competitive aspect in them.
True and the other main issue is also not solve. I hate that in order to have a decent progress I have to play alts or that I'm locked to a few runs like a mobile game and their stamina systems.
As long as there are players who will take time to make learning party, there is no such thing as "being left behind". We are talking about JUMP-START SERVER and gatekeeping removes the server purpose in the first place. If you are going to gatekeep, why not return in the legacy server since majority there are for sure know all of the raids. The server is made so that players can learn more about LA raids. Yes, I know that LA raids is way more difficult to finish compare to the other mmo raids out there on the same state that you acquire it but it is doable. And don't give a BS reason that you don't have time that is why you are gatekeeping because you also need to finish your homework on legacy server. Just stay at legacy and leave the JSS on 'new players'. Because I can tell you 'new players' will leave and the moment they left there is no coming back since many games are coming to be released soon
Game is fun. however, when I heard how heavy the gatekeep is in this game community, I just lost the motivation to play it. And I have people telling me to play a support class to minimize that. So for me to play the game I’ll have to make a class that I don’t want to play to begin with yeah right😂 now I understand why people are quitting it.

What mistake? Lost Ark is a good game, he's explaining how things work as you progress in the game. Gatekeep is not that problematic if you understand his tips and use them to keep up with the game... And none of what he's talking about has anything to do with paying
@@jlee9360 Exactly, the only time gatekeeping would be acceptable is at endgame, not even late game. But with Lost Ark, gatekeeping starts at the beginning of your first attempt in raids. This is all because of the toxic community lost ark unfortunately has.
You didn't miss the window, as it was said in the video, there are still learning groups for all raids that pop up contantly, but if you take some more time, you'll miss indeed, even the new players are learning and will start to want to join more experienced parties@@TehBeavs
I have work and life. I am an adult. I am joining learning groups and clearing raids. I failed for 10+ hours in total across different groups before clearing them. That's a heavy time investment. I was willing to do that cause I enjoy the learning process as a form of entertainment. I will focus on raiding. I will try to learn. But if at the end I get gatekept out of the game, well it's unfortunate that Lost Ark loses me as a player.
This game, and more so its veteran community, is going to strangle itself for the west if this is the accepted attitude. Jump start servers aimed to helped new players get 'caught up' and even when they do they aren't caught up quick enough for the longer-term players standards. For many they are just trying to learn Lost Ark as a whole, and there are a LOT of systems for somebody who has never really had long term playing previously. Instead of giving them players time, the message is to get everything that is considered meaningful to a veteran player done first so they can not be penalised further down the line for themselves not being a veteran player.
Jump Start is not the perfect solution, next year they plan to implement Solo versions of the non-endgame raids, and that's when everyone will be able to learn at their own pace, this is something that is being tested to help in the meantime.
Yeah… I’ve been enjoying it so far, have cleared quite a few raids. But at this point the community is holding the game back, like guys… there’s a reason the game is dead asf (40-50k players daily) for a game that’s divided between NAW, NAE, EU is not good. Veterans gatekeeping groups don’t realize they’re just gatekeeping the game lmao, why’d anyone wanna stay as a new or returning player.

I still remember watching your videos before the global release of LoA - seeing you so excited and pumped about the game. That was probably one of the main reasons I got into the game. Lately though, these videos have mainly been FOMO-ridden tasklists on how to survive the toxic gauntlet that is gatekeeping. Kind of feel like the spark you had is gone.
I don't care about gatekeeping players. My mate and I created our own guild and we look for player that are more chill. In the future, I hope I can make groups where I always can pick up 2 learning players to teach the community and help out others.
The title of this video pinpoints why Lost Ark will always have a major problem. There is nothing they can do that will fix the game. New players will join the jump server, along side existing players. The numbers go up, people think the game is back. Old players will get to end game first, gatekeeping starts, new players feels like they are playing a solo game and everything is back to the way it was. Gatekeeping is never a problem. No game has more gatekeeping criteria then retail WOW and it's averaging 700k players per day. 700k players that pay a monthy sub. Why ? Because the game is fair. If you played 24/7 and got to where you don't want a noob like me to waste your time, then it's understandable to gatekeep me. I would gatekeep me too. I have to go and play and improve myself. LA is not the same, The only reason you are gatekeeping me is because you payed money for mats, then you clicked a button a million times until you got that iLvL. Gatekeeping in LA happens too soon because of P2W. It's funny how dying P2W games seems to do everything to try to save the game except the obvious.

I would just play casual and chill or just delete this game. Brelshaza Gate 1 is the gate to get through for most people.
it's not pay to win... it's play to play... with all the event mats from mokoko and arktoberfest shops, as well as the Ark Pass now, you just need to do chaos dungeons to upgrade your gear xD and the raids to get the new brelshaza pieces

@@GuruChaz Well, since I didn't stop playing, I actually have x2 1600 characters and x8 1580 + one 1550 Aeromancer... I only have 1 lvl 10 CD gem for my shadowhunter, and my main Soulfist has some level 8-9 gems, the others have Level 7 gems mostly. So far I spent royal crystals with some skins, and for mats I only purchased the Premium upgrade (for 1500 RC) of the 3 first Ark Passes, I don't know if I'll purchase this one because I don't really need the mats anymore, but I could put some more money just to support the game since the Ark Pass is the best value and there'd be some crystals left for skins. If you play with less characters and the event mats don't dilute so much, it'd be even easier to have a character at 1600 nowadays, you just need to do life skills, chaos gates, and do dailies with rested at least...

I quit Lost Ark after trying to play in this jump start. Each run i got at least one gatekeeper, they come to the New servers and start to demand that everyone knows How to play. I got the conclusion that, this game Just has an bad design overall, the game dont let you learn it, there is no reward to older players help newbies. Im Just out of patience for ALL this.
@@austinharlow8672 The issue for me is that progression is locked behind group content. Brel shoudnt be the only way to get ancient gear, it should be available from all content that is 1490 and above like chaos dungeons imo.
Why are new players using the powerpass right away and jumping into the top endgame content of this game? This is mental. Two of my friends started playing this game for the first time, I would never have told them to skip it's entire beautiful story just to go there and be tilted over and over. You can assume that most of players that are new to the game won't be skipping it's content neither. It only makes sense that veterans are up there doing the hardest raids right now. Believe me, I'm currently replaying this game from scratch with my friends and there's tonnes of people that are new. I can tell it from the way they equip jewellery & their roster level. Fact is, you should never hurry in this game. The title of the video is all wrong. Everyone is wrong. I have played this game 1 year ago and I dropped it because of the rats race I unfortunately had the pleasure to take part in due to a period of free time in my life, which coincidentally overlapped with Lost Ark release. I've spent 1,7k hours in this game in the first 6 months. It's just not worth it to keep climbing up and up. There's only despair there(whales and people that are too afraid to lose/super tryhard/toxic). Give yourself & all the easy-going people time(the ones that actually have a life & don't spend money), you won't regret it. It's a marathon, not a race. What an idiotic video this is.
Dude, i know this game since 2014, played along almost all versions of it, i'm not the guy that need to learn the mechanics, i'm a game dev also, so listen to me, if you wanna play the entire game without the power item level that is fare, it is fun, there is alot things to do but, it ends and sometime you will need to do an RAID, and you will be frustrated because the game till there don't teach you how to do them and almost all mechanics are party wipe, so the only thing you could do is go to youtube and learn because if one guy from 8 or 4 do not wan't to teach you do you know what he will do? he will be afk or die until everybody quits... And lets say that you came prepared, that you agree with those rules, well you will need to pray that all other 7 players agree with that as well because if 1 do not you will be into an void of trying to find the perfect party to do something that you will need to do every day or week. I love this game, the gameplay is fun, the art direction is fun, the world is interesting, but the core loop design is so bad that you can't just ignore it, sadly@@FURakso
I left shortly after launch because of the gatekeeping/toxicity. Seeing another old Lost ark content creator say “do X to not get gate kept” instead of just talking about how bad it is for it to be there in the first place is very telling of the games health and community. I won’t be playing again lol

Smilegate could/should rebalance where gold comes from. Move raw gold rewards out from raids into something like easier daily content (maybe soloable), and keep the raid system purely for gear crafting & some upgrade materials. The raids are TOO rewarding, thus causing gatekeeping because they make up a fat chunk of your progression income. Sadly, feels like copium to keep telling players to do xyz to not get gatekept, when the game itself is causing the problem. It pretty much just sounds like "if you aren't caught up and getting gatekept, you need to catch up so you don't get gatekept anymore", almost a paradox if you're struggling to get into parties lol. The FOMO never ends because you can never stop playing, otherwise you'll face a massive wall to catch up so you can get back into parties easier. I don't think the communities of other MMOs are all magically nicer people, the other game's just don't create as much of a reliance on an individual activity to progress your character. Also doesn't help that the main thing to do in Lost Ark is RAID, and if you can't do that then the game is very empty imo.

Sounds like a good time, being still a kinda new to the game I would have tried Jumpstart servers but the idea of farming everything all over again (cards, boat, adventure book, rapport, etc...) is a massive hindrance for me >

Gatekeeping can bite my ass. If I need to "hurry" to end game as a new player then what's the point of a Jump-start server...? Can all those Gatekeepers go do that to the original servers they came from? The Irony of Gatekeeping is a constant FOMO in it self.
Hi Sywo, really love your content on LA. I was a player of LA when it came out in the West and was wondering if I should give it a new try as a casual player. After seeing your video, I decided that I would give it a shot on the fresh start server but I got a question during your video you say "that we should use our power pass, because of the loss of time we will get leveling from scratch using the story express." but if I always played dps class and I want to go Gunlancer should not learn how my skill work during a leveling process to help me be a good Gunlancer for raid?
If you do the skipable tutorials shown when you use the Power Pass you're good regarding basic mechanics, save the story express for later in case you enjoy the game. You can create a new character to see the story just fine. The point he's highlighting in the video is to be there and learn while people are just starting as well, you'll find more people at that step right now, and it'll be easier for you to get into raids with that. If you want to get used to your class and is worried about raiding, after the tutorials I recommend you try to solo deskaluda
And don't forget to check raid guides outs before trying them, people are teaching things, but's always good to have a certain notion before going out there

I was on a fence about coming back. It's a pity, but the first 3 min convinced me not to play this game ever again. I'll keep following Sywo's content though.
As somebody who has 4 characters running Akkan, I can't image starting over or having to do the rat race again for titles, gatekeeping, gear, etc. Even now, SG should make Akkan gear easier to obtain like they did for Brel (30/75 materials needed), because if you only do normal, you have to clear every week to have your 6 piece for Voidike in December.....every week full clears (or buy some boxes).
I wanted to try LA a month ago but after learning about all the time gated stuff, RNG progression, P2W (doesnt bother me that much), need to play with alts and gatekeeping even this fresh start server isn't enough for me to want to install the game... If they reduced the need for alts and reduced the RNG of progression I could try playing.
SG/Amazon need to think about how to incentivize people to keep training newbies, limiting to weekly entry not conducive to this with dailies (allthough reduced)

I played lost ark years back now I came back fresh account on the Jump Start server there's 2 things that's a bit unclear for me still. 1. Brel is the only upgrade after +15 your 1415 gear you got from the event right? For now I can clear G1/2 which means 14 tot 16 pieces per week.. 1 armor piece cost 30... which going to take me months to get a full set unless for some magical reason i could clear G3/4 as well which even then nets u hopefully 1 piece if you clear everything? Also another thing im struggling with since we get the Engraving Support how do I get my desired Engravings? Is there any way or is it really just randomly and hopefully you have the engravings on the pieces that u actually want and need?
Yes Brel is the next update after the 1415 gear is +15. You also get a box for the first clear that gives 30 phantom intentions, so first time you clear 1+2 you can craft 2 pieces
Your title says why jump start has already failed. As soon as the rush start and people will start to get selective the number of players will drop again. If the best and richest players are the biggest ass-holes, there will be no reason for the other to stay either. Fact is that some of those players don't want us and don't care if they kill the game. Many of those players use their exploits to slave others that are dependent on them. If the community is to afraid of removing those then very few that still plays will get anything good from what remains. When it comes to shy and quiet people, its not easy like that. Generally speaking I would say those people would add 1000x to the happiness on the servers, but guess they take to much effort to get to know and we are speed running life and everything in it. There was a time I could have fun/relax in a MMOs, guess those times are long gone as the times of the angry and rich kid rule my digital worlds and makes it impossible to live in now. On top of that, the kids parent developed the game I'm playing. Made it full of depressed people instead of taking care of the kid and use all the happiness he got from that to create a game that actually made a majority that played the game happy. The parent did not get enough money from making the game or was it all the pressure for working for Amazon? Why care all games dies today I guess a normal LOA player would say.
Or you can just stop whining and make your own groups and statics with like-minded people. Rather than wasting time or energy complaining about gatekeeping, which happens in almost all MMOs that I can think of, make an effort to build your own group of people.
this gatekeeping subject is such a bs. i go to legion raids with alts that are not full gem 7 or 5X3 no problem. of course i apply with people that have progression similar to me. i do dailies only on rest, i buy only skins. enjoy the game, enjoy your class, make your own group, be patient, memorize and up your game, be kind and most important ignore toxic people and stop follow the way of burning yourself out.
Honestly my biggest gripe about newer/less experienced players in LA since the western launch last year is people joining groups never watching a single video or reading anything about the raid and than refusing to talk or ask questions. I remember back in T2 this was a problem.... even when you are trying to be nice and helpful. Never understood this.

It’s not on the players to correct/compensate for intrinsic issues of the game. If Lost Ark dies; it’s not a big deal.

I still remember watching your videos before the global release of LoA - seeing you so excited and pumped about the game. That was probably one of the main reasons I got into the game. Lately though, these videos have mainly been FOMO-ridden tasklists on how to survive the toxic gauntlet that is gatekeeping. Kind of feel like the spark you had is gone.
I don't care about gatekeeping players. My mate and I created our own guild and we look for player that are more chill. In the future, I hope I can make groups where I always can pick up 2 learning players to teach the community and help out others.
The title of this video pinpoints why Lost Ark will always have a major problem. There is nothing they can do that will fix the game. New players will join the jump server, along side existing players. The numbers go up, people think the game is back. Old players will get to end game first, gatekeeping starts, new players feels like they are playing a solo game and everything is back to the way it was.
Gatekeeping is never a problem. No game has more gatekeeping criteria then retail WOW and it's averaging 700k players per day. 700k players that pay a monthy sub. Why ? Because the game is fair. If you played 24/7 and got to where you don't want a noob like me to waste your time, then it's understandable to gatekeep me. I would gatekeep me too. I have to go and play and improve myself.
LA is not the same, The only reason you are gatekeeping me is because you payed money for mats, then you clicked a button a million times until you got that iLvL. Gatekeeping in LA happens too soon because of P2W.
It's funny how dying P2W games seems to do everything to try to save the game except the obvious.
Screw Gatekeepers and screw being forced to play to keep up with everybody. This game is ultimately pay to win. They want you to feel pressured to keep up with everyone so you buy their shit. I would just play casual and chill or just delete this game. Brelshaza Gate 1 is the gate to get through for most people.
it's not pay to win... it's play to play... with all the event mats from mokoko and arktoberfest shops, as well as the Ark Pass now, you just need to do chaos dungeons to upgrade your gear xD and the raids to get the new brelshaza pieces

@@GuruChaz Well, since I didn't stop playing, I actually have x2 1600 characters and x8 1580 + one 1550 Aeromancer... I only have 1 lvl 10 CD gem for my shadowhunter, and my main Soulfist has some level 8-9 gems, the others have Level 7 gems mostly. So far I spent royal crystals with some skins, and for mats I only purchased the Premium upgrade (for 1500 RC) of the 3 first Ark Passes, I don't know if I'll purchase this one because I don't really need the mats anymore, but I could put some more money just to support the game since the Ark Pass is the best value and there'd be some crystals left for skins. If you play with less characters and the event mats don't dilute so much, it'd be even easier to have a character at 1600 nowadays, you just need to do life skills, chaos gates, and do dailies with rested at least...

I quit Lost Ark after trying to play in this jump start. Each run i got at least one gatekeeper, they come to the New servers and start to demand that everyone knows How to play.
I got the conclusion that, this game Just has an bad design overall, the game dont let you learn it, there is no reward to older players help newbies. Im Just out of patience for ALL this.
Im just about there myself tbh the fact that all progression is locked behind group content with wipe mechanics is a fundamental problem imo

Why are new players using the powerpass right away and jumping into the top endgame content of this game? This is mental. Two of my friends started playing this game for the first time, I would never have told them to skip it's entire beautiful story just to go there and be tilted over and over. You can assume that most of players that are new to the game won't be skipping it's content neither. It only makes sense that veterans are up there doing the hardest raids right now. Believe me, I'm currently replaying this game from scratch with my friends and there's tonnes of people that are new. I can tell it from the way they equip jewellery & their roster level.
Fact is, you should never hurry in this game. The title of the video is all wrong. Everyone is wrong. I have played this game 1 year ago and I dropped it because of the rats race I unfortunately had the pleasure to take part in due to a period of free time in my life, which coincidentally overlapped with Lost Ark release. I've spent 1,7k hours in this game in the first 6 months. It's just not worth it to keep climbing up and up. There's only despair there(whales and people that are too afraid to lose/super tryhard/toxic). Give yourself & all the easy-going people time(the ones that actually have a life & don't spend money), you won't regret it. It's a marathon, not a race. What an idiotic video this is.
Dude, i know this game since 2014, played along almost all versions of it, i'm not the guy that need to learn the mechanics, i'm a game dev also, so listen to me, if you wanna play the entire game without the power item level that is fare, it is fun, there is alot things to do but, it ends and sometime you will need to do an RAID, and you will be frustrated because the game till there don't teach you how to do them and almost all mechanics are party wipe, so the only thing you could do is go to youtube and learn because if one guy from 8 or 4 do not wan't to teach you do you know what he will do? he will be afk or die until everybody quits...
And lets say that you came prepared, that you agree with those rules, well you will need to pray that all other 7 players agree with that as well because if 1 do not you will be into an void of trying to find the perfect party to do something that you will need to do every day or week.
I love this game, the gameplay is fun, the art direction is fun, the world is interesting, but the core loop design is so bad that you can't just ignore it, sadly@@FURakso
I left shortly after launch because of the gatekeeping/toxicity. Seeing another old Lost ark content creator say “do X to not get gate kept” instead of just talking about how bad it is for it to be there in the first place is very telling of the games health and community. I won’t be playing again lol
yeah it's sad they (content creators) are teaching you how to avoid : this to not be gatekept - that to not be gatekept , are pretty much CONFIRMING that gatekeeping is there even at jump start servers. This is just the beginning.......oh boy it will get much worse later on.
Smilegate could/should rebalance where gold comes from. Move raw gold rewards out from raids into something like easier daily content (maybe soloable), and keep the raid system purely for gear crafting & some upgrade materials. The raids are TOO rewarding, thus causing gatekeeping because they make up a fat chunk of your progression income. Sadly, feels like copium to keep telling players to do xyz to not get gatekept, when the game itself is causing the problem.
It pretty much just sounds like "if you aren't caught up and getting gatekept, you need to catch up so you don't get gatekept anymore", almost a paradox if you're struggling to get into parties lol. The FOMO never ends because you can never stop playing, otherwise you'll face a massive wall to catch up so you can get back into parties easier.
I don't think the communities of other MMOs are all magically nicer people, the other game's just don't create as much of a reliance on an individual activity to progress your character. Also doesn't help that the main thing to do in Lost Ark is RAID, and if you can't do that then the game is very empty imo.
This video content isn't good. You're saying don't FOMO and at the same time you're instilling the FOMO mindset of not falling behind as a new player and getting gate kept.
They're tips if you want to stay ahead, but not good for retaining and attracting new players. Maybe change the title.
Sounds like a good time, being still a kinda new to the game I would have tried Jumpstart servers but the idea of farming everything all over again (cards, boat, adventure book, rapport, etc...) is a massive hindrance for me >

Gatekeeping can bite my ass. If I need to "hurry" to end game as a new player then what's the point of a Jump-start server...? Can all those Gatekeepers go do that to the original servers they came from? The Irony of Gatekeeping is a constant FOMO in it self.
Hi Sywo, really love your content on LA. I was a player of LA when it came out in the West and was wondering if I should give it a new try as a casual player. After seeing your video, I decided that I would give it a shot on the fresh start server but I got a question during your video you say "that we should use our power pass, because of the loss of time we will get leveling from scratch using the story express." but if I always played dps class and I want to go Gunlancer should not learn how my skill work during a leveling process to help me be a good Gunlancer for raid?
If you do the skipable tutorials shown when you use the Power Pass you're good regarding basic mechanics, save the story express for later in case you enjoy the game. You can create a new character to see the story just fine. The point he's highlighting in the video is to be there and learn while people are just starting as well, you'll find more people at that step right now, and it'll be easier for you to get into raids with that. If you want to get used to your class and is worried about raiding, after the tutorials I recommend you try to solo deskaluda
And don't forget to check raid guides outs before trying them, people are teaching things, but's always good to have a certain notion before going out there

As somebody who has 4 characters running Akkan, I can't image starting over or having to do the rat race again for titles, gatekeeping, gear, etc. Even now, SG should make Akkan gear easier to obtain like they did for Brel (30/75 materials needed), because if you only do normal, you have to clear every week to have your 6 piece for Voidike in December.....every week full clears (or buy some boxes).

I wanted to try LA a month ago but after learning about all the time gated stuff, RNG progression, P2W (doesnt bother me that much), need to play with alts and gatekeeping even this fresh start server isn't enough for me to want to install the game... If they reduced the need for alts and reduced the RNG of progression I could try playing.

uhh is it not just the norm/polite to watch a video on boss mechanics before you decide to try it? kinda rude to just expect to be carried or keep wiping the raid cuz of your lack and unwillingness to do a bit of research first imo.
I played lost ark years back now I came back fresh account on the Jump Start server there's 2 things that's a bit unclear for me still. 1. Brel is the only upgrade after +15 your 1415 gear you got from the event right? For now I can clear G1/2 which means 14 tot 16 pieces per week.. 1 armor piece cost 30... which going to take me months to get a full set unless for some magical reason i could clear G3/4 as well which even then nets u hopefully 1 piece if you clear everything?
Also another thing im struggling with since we get the Engraving Support how do I get my desired Engravings? Is there any way or is it really just randomly and hopefully you have the engravings on the pieces that u actually want and need?
Yes Brel is the next update after the 1415 gear is +15. You also get a box for the first clear that gives 30 phantom intentions, so first time you clear 1+2 you can craft 2 pieces

Your title says why jump start has already failed. As soon as the rush start and people will start to get selective the number of players will drop again. If the best and richest players are the biggest ass-holes, there will be no reason for the other to stay either. Fact is that some of those players don't want us and don't care if they kill the game. Many of those players use their exploits to slave others that are dependent on them. If the community is to afraid of removing those then very few that still plays will get anything good from what remains.
When it comes to shy and quiet people, its not easy like that. Generally speaking I would say those people would add 1000x to the happiness on the servers, but guess they take to much effort to get to know and we are speed running life and everything in it.
There was a time I could have fun/relax in a MMOs, guess those times are long gone as the times of the angry and rich kid rule my digital worlds and makes it impossible to live in now. On top of that, the kids parent developed the game I'm playing. Made it full of depressed people instead of taking care of the kid and use all the happiness he got from that to create a game that actually made a majority that played the game happy. The parent did not get enough money from making the game or was it all the pressure for working for Amazon? Why care all games dies today I guess a normal LOA player would say.
Or you can just stop whining and make your own groups and statics with like-minded people. Rather than wasting time or energy complaining about gatekeeping, which happens in almost all MMOs that I can think of, make an effort to build your own group of people.

this gatekeeping subject is such a bs. i go to legion raids with alts that are not full gem 7 or 5X3 no problem. of course i apply with people that have progression similar to me. i do dailies only on rest, i buy only skins. enjoy the game, enjoy your class, make your own group, be patient, memorize and up your game, be kind and most important ignore toxic people and stop follow the way of burning yourself out.
Honestly my biggest gripe about newer/less experienced players in LA since the western launch last year is people joining groups never watching a single video or reading anything about the raid and than refusing to talk or ask questions. I remember back in T2 this was a problem.... even when you are trying to be nice and helpful. Never understood this.
