In my experience the gameplay in NHL 23 changed drastically going from Play Now/Season/Playoffs to Franchise, despite using identical sliders for both. Wonder if others have found the same. I'd be happily told I did something wrong.
The menus are unbearably slow, play MLB The Show and it's so quick and easy to make trades and run through season after season quickly, you can't go back to EA Sports games after playing games made by companies that don't worship satan
They need to add in the outdoor games again. I know the Winter Classic is a different vibe now since the addition of the Outdoor Series but that should be added into the game.
Absolutely why give us all these winter classic and stadium series jerseys when we can’t actually use them in a game outside , like in real life

I will say they revamped Franchise so I presume BAP will be within the next 2 years. EA seems to for once be going in the right direction. But first they are fixing the wrongs and issues of gameplay and main game modes.

Biggest feature is LT/L2 which was in the game every year minus 24 😭
I dont get how people dont understand what kind of an upgrade this is.
Its not "L2ing" its new tech for animations selections and new animations along with it to make actual legit fluid skating that looks real. Its only a good thing.
@@0Tyson0 Yeah LT/L2 had long degraded into "skating backwards on offense" instead of "opening up to face your teammates". It became essentially useless to me, the skater never did what I intended for them to do.

True lmao. Happened nearly every time I played franchise on 24. Your 82 league min goalie played like an all star and your 88 or 90 with X factors was garbage
@@NathanLipetz It's why I only get 85ovr goalies. If they grow much more than that they just eat cap space better spent on D-men or the forward group.

my expectations for nhl 25 is so low that just having improved / working menus would be considered a win.
Completely reworked AI getting rid of legacy code involved there, new animation tech, new visual tech, strategies and playbooks on top of a full franchise revamp to get it ready for connected next year.
Thats pretty good for a really small dev team with a 10 month dev cycle.

Pretty sure it's been confirmed he doesn't want to be on the cover. He defiitely would have been multiple times otherwise.

Good. Save it for when they can focus on it. Rather them leave it and focus on a few things at a time, itll have its revamp next year or the year after.
Afterall, EA gives this dev team no budget to work with and like 30 people to make the game.
@@0Tyson0I want to believe that they’re just saving the revamping of BAP for when they have the time to really focus on it, but it’s almost disrespectful at this point that it’s been the exact same for like 5 years. At least bring back the work-your-way-up through the AHL aspect of the mode! It’s boring, and unrealistic. A 6th round pick isn’t making the opening night roster on the 3rd line lol. And don’t even get me started on the absolutely useless cutscenes…you really can’t believe anything other than they really just don’t care to add more to it right now cause of the other sub-par modes.
@@Thrashman-ye4cf It doesnt make them money so they put it on a 4-5 year refresh cycle like other game modes and thats just how it is i guess.
They tried to give you a narrative type of thing and its terrible, they need to just completely go back to how it used to be.

It would be cool in franchise mode to add cups to the players résumé so it shows how many they have. just like a simple cup logo next to their profile when you win a cup
I know I probably have to wait for the presentation deep dive to arrive! But do you have any information about full presentation possibly returning and will presentation also include all the atmosphere that we see on tv or inside the arena irl from all the light shows and smoke and chants and so on?

@@TacTixHD Yeah but lets see what is a big overhaul for us...Remember In NHL20...that was only adding coach staff and for real since this day when you simulate your games its broken.

The year they improved scouting in madden the prior year had the fix madden franchise then 2 years later that version was awesome!! So maybe wait two years after nhl 25
@@TacTixHDyou ever wonder why your channel doesn’t grow that much over time. It’s not YOU. It’s the game you chose to support that has no interest in innovating or delivering for the fans. A copy and paste of the same exact game every year. There is better ways to have a franchise. A new title every year with minor updates disguised as new gameplay features is disguisting. This game is embarrassing to say your a fan of. In fact, your an idiot if you continue to buy and support EA games.
My only wish for each new NHL is simple - please get rid of the super slow, super laggy, super low responsive menus especially in franchise mode its so slow and laggy it is killing me each year. I am not sure if its the same on xbox, but on PS5 its ridiculous. And no, its not my PS5 because every other game is fine and my friend has the exact same problem with NHL menus on his PS5.
Yes it’s on Xbox as well. Plenty of moving graphics, background animations, and sound effects on all the menus increase file sizes being loaded. My guess is that developing these for old gen tech is what causes this, which ideally gets resolved with next gen only development.

I unfortunately don't have new gen consoles, I'm sad it isn't on PS4 but it's good to see them going forward with this and trying just 2 consoles
Anyone heard of any legends being added to 25?? Hoping to see Vanbiesbrouck, Bure, and Federov just to name a few.
I hope franchise mode feels fresh. Never tried HUT cause I dont understand it lol.
HUT is just a massive money grab. Almost completely pay to win these days

@@GOCAPSDMV like can you earn the best stuff for free, but its just more of a grind? Or is like the best shit all hidden behind real money purchases? I've never been able to find a like HUT for dummies video on TH-cam lol. They all are explained like you already know everything, I'll have to look again.

It is just a very big grind
My wishes:
-Overhauled pressure system (A meter throughout the game that gets affected from hits, time left, time spent in zone, dekes, shots, goals, Game 7, Final game of season to have a spot in playoff) There no need to make the system as broken as it is right now, but when your team has the momentum, it should be full rink and have your players have a miniscule speed boost, hits harder etc.
- Update to presentation. It's not terrible but it's not great too. I want to see more stats during the game from like PP%, PK% league standing, Goals for in the year (More player stats in game such as point streaks, goal streaks etc.) And instead of showing top 10, maybe show like a slide of a line pairing with pictures and their production past 3-5 games etc.
- Make the crowd "brighter" right now, the crowd boo's for when a player injured another and when a team gets absolutely dominated. But if the player who injured someone scores a goal, they don't boo at all lol. I would love to hear more crowd chirp, player chirp in game.
-Hot/Cold streaks: Gosh, I remember back in NHL99 I think and 01 on PC (I could be mistaken) but players having an icon when they are in a hot or cold streak and how it would affect some stats. It would be good to have that back in
lol I still have the Xbox one. I know people are gonna complain to me but honestly it’s a lot of money to get the new one, and I was waiting for the price to go down and it never really has it still like two to $300. Now I’m gonna have to buy one eventually. I mean my Xbox one is 10 years old and still runs like a champ. I usually don’t get new stuff unless it breaks

Some stuff that would really be nice in franchise is better and more adaptive AI gms and more realistic sims. Why are the 26-12-3 Jets listed as a seller and why are the Kings 28th in the league while the Blue Jackets are in the Cup Finals.
I hope 2k starts making hockey games again. If they did, they would bury EA
As for someone who only plays Franchise mode, this is soooo welcome! There are things I don't know if they hae been fixed, but I'd love being able to train certain players, like you can earn points and distribute them to certain players to bulk up or work on their speed or something. Also, why can't we edit the goalie masks like with the pads? And being able to shift a player's position (making a right-handed LD switch to RD for example). And come on EA, asian women don't blow the whistle in NHL games. At least make it optional so we who want to play the game as realistic as possible could do so.
The same masks every year!!!!! At least we can edit the equipment. I juat hope they did away with the hitting checking stick make it the way it was for 23
So One-Timers are going to be the grossly overpowered, abused mechanic this year, got it.
Like the exhaust engine that they thought was great and “completely changed the game” was so bad they made it so it had little to no effect
Maybe time for me to finally buy a new gen console 😢. Really hope this game is better than 24 but I’m doubtful. Feels like games haven’t got better over the years, at least not much.
Massive budgets and they cant even change more than 2 modes each year. We need to stop buying the garbage each year.
Haven’t bought NHL since 18. Looking forward to 2025 looks like it will be a sick game. Been playing 14 lately.

i want this game to be good and fun, but NHL24 was a game i stopped playing about about two or three weeks. I'm not into the CHEL/HUT modes and that seems to be the game's sole focus. i hope these new mechanics make the game more fun to play as i didn't really see any major gameplay differences between 22 and 23 and 24.
Could you cover the McGroarty and Yager trade? As a Jets fan I would love to hear your take, my personal opinion is that it was a fair trade.
Finally get rid of the ps4 and xbox like its about time. If you dont have ps5 yet then sucks to be you, but everyone else shouldn’t have to suffer because your broke

I would also add, this game is definitely possible on the PS4 Pro. Like Star Wars Jedi, given enough time, I'm willing to bet this gets ported to the PS4 to increase sales. Especially with the price increase of the PS5 in Japan, they're seeing other consoles sales rise and EA wants to make money so, I think this will, in time, like Star Wars Jedi see a previous gen port
I hope that franchise mode has players claimed on waivers be on the NHL team instead of being taken straight to the AHL 💀

How about real intros, sharks sharks head and Vegas knight helmet. Kinda how chel 13 had and how nhl games really look. I’m startling to think we could make a better game than ea, custom goalie helmets and winter classic need to come back as well

world of chel needs changed so bad im glad they said something they don’t need to worry about players faces and hair (which is insane) and just focus on bugs and menu loading times especially
It would be cool if Crosby was on the cover at least once before he retires, imagine one with him and ovie in their last year. I know Crosby doesn’t wanna be on it but it’s been so long since he talked about it I think. Also really excited for the new franchise Ui, o feel like it hasn’t changed since 2017. If franchise mode is actually good I may buy it on launch for the first time since 2019
There is absolutely NOBODY playing NHL on Switch or PC…is this the first time you’ve covered the NHL series ?? Because there’s never been a game on the Switch and PC hasn’t gotten the game since 2009

Will be looking out for the beta. Will be judging it very harshly. Excited to try it, but if my attention isn't captured in that, I will not be buying the game. We were told during the NHL 24 round of interviews that GM Connected was in the cards for 25. Was recently told by another NHL youtuber that it would be too hard for them to do that and that people wouldn't even really want it. Same guy who was shat on by the community for supporting EA in their HUT casino endeavors and is now "no money spent", bro spent his entire year grinding chel 24 and hating on the game... funny how the tables have turned and the tune of the devs is all about "gameplay". I'll believe it when I play it. Either way TacTix, love watching your videos and I'll be here to support you all the way. I appreciate the content dude! Just don't appreciate paying for a new beta every year :)

I am excited but I won't get the game till it drops in price. If the starting price is BELOW 79.99 then I will get it right away. Cause NHL games at this point aren't worth that much money.
But all the new stuff looks sick, and I can't wait for what's to come for Franchise Mode! BAP not being touched at all is typical EA, but I bet there will be a bunch of channels that will use the mode to make memes. I hope they change the create team customization menu, I didn't like that they changed it in NHL 24, I liked the one in NHL 23 better.
Pay extra to have the most broken, least updated version of the game! You want rosters wrong, jerseys missing, bugs we neglected to fix in beta? Cough up for money and we'll give you a few hut packs on top of it!
