Exploring SINGAPORE! Eating the BEST Hawker Center FOODS! | Singapore travel food vlog

- Day 1 in Singapore. We checked out the famous Merlion Park, explored Chinatown, and ate at a restaurant that had a Michelin star, Liao Fan Hawker Chan. It was affordable and delicious! We bought a souvenir and made our way to Maxwell Food Centre (Hawker). It was extremely busy, but luckily we found a table and were able to enjoy Hainanese chicken rice, sugar cane juice, and a freshly chopped coconut. It was finally time to check in at Galaxy Pods in Chinatown. We rested and made our way to Gardens by the Bay. It is a huge 101 hectares (250 acres), iconic park. We enjoyed the free show, Garden Rhapsody - the supertrees light up at night synchronized with the music. Finally, we visited McDonalds to try out their exclusive food.

Yes, we do have lots of wild animals in SG but some of them are only seen in the night time at some areas.

filming the 2 videos. Your Hawker Chan meal was at the aircon restaurant. Across Smith Street is Chinatown Food Centre with 272 vendors, many Michelins. Hawker Chan has a stall there and much cheaper, but with queues. Exchange aircon for food centre vibes. Singapore has 119 FCs. Re the coconut drink at Maxwell FC, vendor should have given a metal spoon to scrap out the coconut flesh. When Devi bought the Lemon Tea from 7-11 at Stanley Street, the Amoy Street FC is just a stone throw away. Maybe next time. Btw both of you on-screen chemistry is very good, 10/10. Wish both of you a safe and fruitful journey from here on!

For McDonalds in Singapore you must try the Chicken McSpicy burgers.. that’s very good and you won’t find it in Canada or US
Nice video! Watching it in Changi Airport as we wait for our flight to Japan after spending some time here with my wife’s relatives. Hawker Chan is, to my taste, overrated. They’ve expanded all over SE Asia and I think the quality went down some. There’s a stall in People’s Park that has really, REALLY good soy sauce chicken, roast duck, roast pork and BBQ pork that is better. Tian Tian has good chicken, but the line is crazy. If you have more time, some places to try:
Outram Park Char Kway Teow in Hong Lim
Song Fa Bak kut teh
Sungei Road laksa (near Little India)
Satay and BBQ seafood in Chomp Chomp (a ways off the beaten track, but worth the trip).
Gardens by the Bay is amazing. So are the Botanical Gardens. I also, for the first time, saw Fort Siloso on Sentosa Island. Pretty neat place.

I've watched some vlogs on Singapore and this one is somewhat different especially in terms of the places you visited. As an Indonesian, I think I should recommend that you sometime visit Lake Toba, North Sumatra province, Indonesia.

Those empty streets - they're empty because (1) either you're there on a weekend, or (2) it's working hours haha. That place is the city center and Singapore is a very work driven society...like many other Asian countries. Most of us start work at 8am. After that, streets are relatively vacant for the most part...
You guys should sit indoors n under the fan when you’re in a hawker centre.
Yeah, we definitely wanted to, but it was really busy inside. All the seats were taken. 🙂

Those mice could have been shrews if they have pointed noses and just darting around. They are almost blind and nocturnal. Very cute animals. The rooster could be the South East Asian chicken which is allegedly the original stock of all farmed chickens.

Due to healthier choices, our hawker food are not as intense as other neighbouring countries. Our drinks are not as sweet either. We hardly use condensed milk in our cold drinks too.

Should have gone to the original Hawker Chan's hawker stall in Chinatown Hawker center, since you are in the area.
The restaurant you went to are open by the people that bought his recipe and franchised it and probably "diluted" his recipe.
Still, there are MANY great food in the Chinatown area.
