Actually Kobe was a bit brash & harsh with teammates, media, the Lakers organization at one point during his career. In the mid 2000s when they were not experiencing the success they had earlier in the decade. Kobe was just frustrated with not winning, and he wanted others around him to work harder and he didn't think they were. But, he learned and he grew from that. I'm convinced that's why he made such an effort to mentor other players later in his career, always generous with his time for coaching, charitable events, etc. What really messes me up is his daughter passing away. That just cuts as deep as you possibly can. Right to the bone. Especially with all of the people, high profile basketball players & coaches who would know & they say she was just like him... But she never got the opportunity. Just 13 years old. Damn.
Joshua Frick Kobe gave everything to the lakers. They built a team around him he was a leader everyone looked up to him. You can be humble and confident at the same time. Look at how accomplished the man was. You talkin like he kg or somethin. There are hours and hours of great Kobe interviews and people wanna focus on bad moments during, as you said ‘frustrated’ times of his life. He always was taking time for interviews and the public..he gave us everything. Everything.

Rachel Nichols talked about how he was a different person after the allegations in 2003, and how she told him "Hey don't give me that. I know you" and he had a lot of beef with Shaq & Smush Parker and other teammates, etc. Hell, even in a Real Sports feature, Steve Nash was asked to describe Kobe Bryant with one word, and he fondly said "mother bleeping a-hole". We can't ignore that Kobe had that side to his personality. Of course it was motivated by a pure heart & a desire to push people to be better. But, he had to learn how to become a better leader. Less divisive, more supportive. I heard Candace Parker say this, and it's phenomenal, "Bosses push and leaders pull". Kobe had to learn that & grow from that.
Personally, I've had similar battles in my life & I've had to grow (I haven't done near as well as Kobe did with it), but that notion is important to me. We don't just have to idolize someone because they're perfect... because no one is. Growth & personal development should be celebrated---especially when someone does it as well as Kobe did.

Started watching NBA when warriors won in 2015 with curry’s and Clay’s magic. Today I realized that basketball is such a wonderful game because of players like MJ, Magic, Abdul, and the great Kobe played played before our Steph and Clay. I’m a father of 6yrs old daughter... I can’t imagine how he felt when he knew that something bad is about to happen and he was helpless to save his daughter. What a sad moment for all the dads and basketball fans around the globe. Kobe came to visit last night, Gianna wasn’t with him. He hasn’t fully transitioned yet. He’s in a state of confusion & some sort of sickness. He told me he doesn’t feel well.
Nipsey was fully transitioned when he came & he was goin in about Emani. He kept telling me he wants her to be ok. His concern was her well being. Not her financial well-being, but her domestic well-being.
Aaliyah came after she fully transitioned & she was so peaceful. She wanted her brother Rashad to know she misses him. Her brother was very angry when she left.
She's got trauma/shock, heartache, devastation, and responsibility all at the same time of being on her own to very young children (even if she's has help). Kobe spent a huge length of time in her life and she probably looked forward to him being retired as well. No wonder she's numb since the brain can't process all that trauma. I hope someone around her knows how EFT or NET can be amazingly effective on releasing trauma shock...when she can handle doing that. Hugs to all of them...and the other families involved in this terrible tragedy.

Losing loved ones is always hard, mom, children, siblings, etc. But sudden death out of the blue is always the hardest. The person you sleep next to and your little girl are instantly gone. I have heard many people saying that after everything was said and done the fans helped them through it and they didn’t feel it until way later. I think it may seem cruel but as human beings whether we like it or not we need each other and knowing that others are grieving too does help the process along. Don’t think I’m trying to sound rude because that’s not what I’m trying to do at all. But she will never truly be raising her kids alone, she’s going to have tons of support and help raising her children and I’m sure of that. However, it obviously is going to be super hard not having her husband there to help raise her children.
