@@rin6609 because the "you're not here anymore" is sung from Ugetsu's perspective when Akihiko finally decides to stop going back to him. That's what this song means. It's about Ugetsu being able to face losing Akihiko and Akihiko coming to terms with the fact that he has to leave. It's truly heartbreaking.

how glad I am that Mafuyu was able to stop blaming himself for Yuki's death, that he gave himself freedom, that he and Uenoyama are happy.
how good that Kaji was able to free himself from the heavy chains, that Ugetsu was able to survive it. how good that they will live on. how glad I am that Haruki is no longer in pain and he can love. that their love with Kaji is mutual.
I love these boys and wish them happiness! even if they are not real, but we love you, stars!

It was too painful to watch the movie. That kind of toxic relationship between Akihiko and Ugetsu reminds me of mine back then. I struggled so so hard to say goodbye. The heart ache was immense which had tortured me for a long peroid of time. It took years to heal and then I thought I was finally confident enough to claim that I could move on from the old love... but no, It still hurts, hurts as HELL. The flashback of memory kept hitting me the moment I saw Ugetsu turning his back to grasp the blurred figure of Akihiko through his tears. I've come to realize that "moving on" is not what it was, all I did was just temporily forgot as a way to self defense. So lame... I don't know how long I would stuck with these memories anymore.
Everytime I hear this song I want to cry my eyes out....

I had watched the given movie about a year ago. I decided to re-watch everything from given. When I first listen to this song I didn't feel the message that mafuyu was trying to point out to us. But when I watched it again yesterday I truly felt the lyrics as i've been struggling to get over a past lover that has left me a little while back. I'm in the middle of healing and I am realizing that the days will move on without him. I loved him but he is no longer here, and that's okay. In the end dawn will break, and times keep on moving.

I never read the translated lyrics for this song, and now that I did, this is indeed a farewell song for Ugetsu and Akihiko's "relationship"
(And I won't go into further details because that would be a HUGE spoiler for the people that wants to see the movie, but if you already read the manga... you will know what i'm talking about)

(BE WARNED that this is a MAJOR SPOILER for the movie, so it's up to you read this or not... also I won't make a TL;DR, so deal with that)
I tried to make it as detailed as possible on explaining their backstory (I may have possibly skipped some parts), I also only focused on them both because this is actually a love triangle between Ugetsu, Akihiko and Haruki. I skipped the parts where Haruki is involved because that needs another explanation

Ugetsu and Akihiko's relationship was a very toxic one. Ugetsu was emotionally abusive/manipulative towards Akihiko, sometimes even physically and he didn't care about how we was feeling, if he was hurting him or not. Akihiko "blindy" loved Ugetsu, but he never got a response back from him because Ugetsu is very afraid of commitment and loving someone back, because for him, feeling loved by someone else was something that suffocated him
Other reason of why they're together is because they both play the violin (that's how they met each other in the first place), and Ugetsu being a prodigy at it, it make Akihiko instantly fall for him and thus, also overshadowing his skill at violin, making him abandon it and just follow Ugetsu's music. But what Akihiko didn't see back then is that, by following Ugetsu, he was getting revoked of his freedom of making his own music. If Akihiko tells Ugetsu that he wants to play other music, Ugetsu sees it as an excuse for him to quit violin and so, "break up" with him. Where it goes back to the physical and emotional abuse towards Akihiko.
It became a sort of game for them, a toxic vicious cycle where they argue, "break up", and suddenly everything goes back to normal... a very unhealthy pattern
Over time, this "game" reaches critical point where they fight for good and Akihiko leaves Ugetsu's place for real, but Ugetsu, knowing the pattern they had, he thought that Akihiko would be back in no time... which it wasn't the case, Akihiko made a definitve decision.

If you watched the anime, remember on the last episode when Mafuyu said he wanted to write another song? Well, this new song was thanks to Ugetsu, that talked to Mafuyu about his backstory with Akihiko and how he hurt him and whatnot, but along the way he never showed any sign of regret or sorry for what he did to Akihiko, showing that emotional indifference once again (and in front of someone younger than him. The audacity of thi b--)
Anyway, when a music event called CAC arrives, Mafuyu plays the new song that came from Ugetsu's story with Akihiko. Making them both realize that it was time for both of them to part ways for good. And so they did, after the CAC ended, Akihiko went to Ugetsu to definitely break up with him, which surprisingly he didn't opposed to (somehow he was seeing coming? IDK), but still he was trying to see that as an excuse for Akihiko to also quit playing violin (trying to again manipulate him emotionally so he doesn't leave him, he never tried to change his way of seeing things) which Akihiko responds with him not quitting violin, telling him with on a way that he was also breaking free of that musical captivity Ugetsu kept him in.
After all that, Akihiko let go of Ugetsu and leaves for good, leaving Ugetsu crying on the spot but OH, here's the thing, he wasn't crying for Akihiko... HE WAS CRYING FOR HIMSELF since he now realizes that he's definitely alone and doesn't know what he will do now that Akihiko is no longer with him. He was selfish from start to finish, when he had something troubling his mind he used Akihiko as an emotional punching bag, hurting him along the way without caring about it. He kept Akihiko only for his own benefit, not because he actually loved him... he never did.

what amazing about this song is that it's so meaningful and able to explain/ reflect so many couples in the storyline at the sam time.

- About Mafuyu progress of moving on. Notice the mention of clock? that's from the manga where wallclock in Ueyama bedroom remind him of the one in Yuki's room.
But the best is the lyric without the anime is talking about "leting go and starting a new" it's a well-wish song to self.

No es yaoi, Yaoi es un término que no existe en japon, y el yaoi es cuando los personajes tienen relaciones en la cama pero este anime no trata de eso trata de musica, solo es un anime de música con parejas homosexuales no es nada de otro mundo es normal, así que no sería yaoi si no BL que es boys love.
El género de este anime es "shonen Ai" yaoi es cuando los personajes tienen relaciones y eso y el Shonen Ai es donde puede haber Relaciones homosexuales pero no teniendo "eso" (ya saben,, no sé si me entienden xd)
