- In this video i talk about the comparison between clay bricks and concrete blocks, if the video is helpful for you so do like and subscribe our channel for more informative videos
Advantages of Bricks
Bricks have a high thermal mass which makes them absorb more heat compared to AAC blocks. Also, you should know that bricks absorb more heat during the day and releases it at night.
Red bricks are also known for their durability and the structures made from them are strong as compared to hollow bricks
.
Bricks are highly compressed earthen materials. The high compression makes them so dense that there is very little space left for combustion to ignite and spread.
Masonry bricks don’t require as much maintenance as block constructions do from time to time. Block constructions need to be taken care of or else they might be falling apart at places.
Advantages of Concrete Block
Block masonry is quite cheaper compared to its brick counterpart. They are known to cost Rs. 1,500 lesser than brick masonry per cubic meters
This is not a difference to be ignored. Reports suggest that the cost of building walls from AAC blocks comes out to be 17.65 percent lesser than the cost of a wall made from traditional bricks. With the lesser cost of constructing these blocks, they are also easier to make which reduces the cost even more if built at the site.
They do not harm or deplete nature for being made.
They are made from Fly Ash, which is nothing but a residue of thermal power plants.
AAC blocks are lighter compared to red bricks which offer them more workability, flexibility, and durability.

Nice
Bro,if we can use concrete solid block in load bearing house construction as we useing red bricks since centuery without any column and beam?my 2nd Q is that concrete solid blocks can be use in foundation as we use red bricks starting first line of red bricks 27"22"18"13" then 9inch wall start this method will be same for blicks?
Brother actually a column and beams are two fundamental structural elements that are essential to stability, they support the weight of the building and create a safe load path, transferring the weight and forces applied to the structure of the building to the foundation and the ground, so it's not a good way to construct a building without columns and beams, if we use a bricks or blocks instead of concrete column's it will not give us a good strength, the reason is bricks and blocks support only compression load not tension, yeah we can use it for a single small room, not multistorey building
In the foundation we used first class bricks, and if you want to use a block in the foundation so we have to use good quality blocks, not the normal blocks which are used for partition walls
@@Engineering_learners ok brother, thank you so much
