Cobra Ninety Six thanks for watching my video I think your rite on the oil issue it probably would of been ok but I replaced the cam anyways just to be safe
When removing the timing belt Inner cover 2:44.... (while engine is still in the vehicle).... do you need to drain any fluids other than coolant? Drain oil? Will a cordless impact work?
the brinneling on the camshaft is from the heat treating process, check the rollers very good, this is a damn nice design engine, can't wait to get into one, head gasket is weird, looks like a shim type gasket,no fire rings,i wanted to view your combustion chambers, wish someone would show the chambers
I have a 04 Chrysler Concorde it runs good I just have a bad water pump I want to do it my self but I don't have any room to work do I have to take whole front end off
Archie Ray Douglas you have to take the timing belt cover off to expose the water pump and the crank pulley you can rent the puller from your local auto parts store also wile your in their put it in timing the way I did and replace the belt and tensioner
what length are the bolts behind the cam sprockets connecting the rear timing belt cover to the block? it seems like the ones i thought were the correct ones are bottoming out premature.
I just put new water pump an timing chain on my Dodge Charger 06 an is leaking water behind the timing cover is not from the water pump is behind the cover😭😭😭 you know what it could be?
El Komander El Komander look at my video 4 about 4and a half min in you see a small hole on left and right and big one in the middle of the block all those have a rubber o ring that goes on the actual cover with silicone to hold them in place and for extra protection against leaking its possible one or all 3 are leaking hope this helps
Hey I just put the timing chain an water pump on my Dodge Charger 06 an still leaking water from behind the timing chain cover I don't no where is leaking from 😭
When a cam lobe looks like that..., it's an oil circulation issue. That lobe should look like the rest. Keep on trucking!

I heard that at idle these engines are not putting enough oil to the top end. Old police cars always tick due to the lifters
The cam looks like that because of casting..didn't have enough stock when they was grinding it.
