I have a 2 donut maker and the best thing I found to use in it is brownie mix. Dip them in a thin vanilla glaze while still warm then sprinkle with finely chopped walnuts or peanuts.

This was cute but honestly I have a 4 doughnut silicone maker pan I use in my airfryer works just as fast and easy.
Is this machine a fried donut though? I know that just like bagels, some boil, some fry, some do it another way.
I got one for Xmas haha. They certainly turn out more like cake or pancakes and probably healthier but only really a donut because of the shape. I want to try with rice flour and make mochi donut
I love the dash products. I have the mini waffle maker and mini griddle. If I had more cabinet space, I would get them all lol. I have an egg cooker that is from qvc that is just like the dash one and I agree, it’s the best.
They finally have one that you can change out the plates. Review coming soon😀.

Wonder if you used like the canned bisquits punched a hole and cooked one of those in thisnit be good, not a doughnut as you stated but another way to make something similar

I figured it wouldn't taste like Krispy Kreme, but a handy cooking gadget though.
What I really like our old fashion donuts I think they’re made like buttermilk bars. You know that old-fashioned they called it old-fashioned it it’s not a raise donut cake donut I think.
See, i'm originally from the north east, and the donuts i grew up on were cake like donuts (like dunkin' donuts), not like Krispy Kreme donuts (which are much lighter and more airy).
Actually, come to think of it, over all the years i lived in the south, i dont think i ever went to a dunkin donuts to see if the donuts were different. Lol
Back in the day, Dunkin Donuts was different than it is now - they had amazing donuts. I never liked KK so when I moved to the south, I gave up donuts altogether (not a great loss, tbh - they have no redeeming value. LOL).
That's what it is! When I was watching you delicately cook these gargantuan donuts, I was thinking - they don't look done. Something about the light side. Then when you said "cake" it clicked. Yes, it looks like when you make a cake mix and the bottom is much lighter than the top! They look like adorable tires. LOL I love this machine. I wish I were able to eat those, but alas, no go for this basically sugarless and sodium-less life. BOOOO
I turn my dash products except for the waffle dash
Dash now has one that you can change the plates on and buy extra plates.

Donut store donuts are fried, both kinds. So they are going to be different.
Nothing tastes as good as a fried donut. That Dash donut maker doesn't brown the top. Maybe that's part of the reason it doesn't look or taste like a donut. The monkey bread looked better. Neighbor Dan needed to taste test these products. 😄😄

It's a tiny little machine, isn't it Cathy ? A man might be starving to death in an 8 minute period while anxiously awaiting his first donut huh ? Joking ! 😀😀😀😀😀 There are possibilities and options on what you can add to the batter though. Just saying.

Sorry Cathy, not worth the money or time. For $3.19 and get a variety dozen at Walmart made today and taste great.
