I have this commander built for a while now. I had ink shield in there once upon a time. I took it out because opponents stopped attacking me to stop my death, triggers, and lifegain. So ink shield became a dead card in hand more often than not.
The only protection you need is to stop your stuff from being exiled. Remember you want your stuff to die your opponents will think twice about board wiping you. So I put in stuff like gift of immortality and kaya’s ghostform you still get the death triggers but it comes back.
@@krgood9008 Gift doesn't protect from exile, sadly.
I agree w the cuts, and I’m liking the general just of the deck !
Great video, totally agree on adding skullclamp, I can only assume that Joe just forgot about it. I'd cut Keen duelist or confidant any day for it, especially in this type of deck.
I think you might be a little confused how commander works with that Phyrexian Tower comment.
What did he say wrong about it?
Nothing wrong- it was just unnecessary for me to talk about how a non-basic land is legendary in a singleton format.
Why do i never see Athreos, God of Passage in these aristocrat decks? Something I'm missing?
Athreos' trigger isn't great for tokens. He's seen more often with non-token strategies, like shadowborn apostles.
It’s good if you’re using afterlife effects. Or non-token creatures. You might be able to get an opponent who isn’t paying attention to pay life for a token that disappears anyways but that’s not common.
@@robertherbst9487 easiest way to put it:
Giving your opponents a choice isn’t generally the best strategy. I used to run Athreos, and as soon as I switch to Teysa it was instantly better
its needs more tutors..theres only 4 lol
He’s cocky
Very unlikeable dude
Yeah but Joe notoriously plays with proxies. Idk if he can afford magic cards because he can't find work in Hollywood. He also gets dragged on reddit for completely legitimate reasons.
lmao you sound like a exgf wtf lmao
