I absolutely love the way her character is not even once minimized for her femininity. Everyone who watched this show would agree she has never looked weak or fragile. The makeup and costume people did her so right. I absolutely love that you can see the Indian reference in her clothes and makeup all the time. This show is such a masterpiece.
And when they did show her weak and vulnerable, it was because she was an old Earth politician in space and not her gender, which was further emphasized with how she was juxtaposed with Bobbie Draper's strength at that time.
I think it goes further than that, she uses her femininity as a source of strength. When she puts on fancy gowns and expensive jewelry it's like she's getting ready for battle

I can understand taking a bit of a break after season six due to the time gap but I'm thinking three more seasons is a must, the Laconian story line is just too good to give up on, it's the culmination of the entire series, why would you quit a race within sight of the finish line?

She is not only one of my all time favourite characters in The Expanse - she is one of my favourite characters of ALL TIME in any series or genre and that's REALLY saying a lot. It's hard to put into words just how absolutely astonishing Shohreh Aghdashloo is at her craft, she so UTTERLY NAILED this character so amazingly I think she a carpenter more than an actress. This is a performance for the ages.
They had some awesome actors on this show. Jared Harris was the ultimate Belter. The entire series was a priceless gem. I think I need to start on my third viewing.

If you haven't seen "House of Sand and Fog" I recommend it most highly. She was Oscar-nominated for it - deservedly, in my opinion - and remains the only Persian-born actress ever nominated for an Academy Award. She's so good that she's even perfect in scenes where she's in the background. Oh, and Season 4 of "24" features her in a major guest role that the fans eventually dubbed - quite fondly - "Terror Mom".
That's what I first saw her in too, such a shame that even after her Oscar nomination she really only had supporting roles, she got to shine so bright in the show a stole every single scene she was in, what a treasure.

I first saw her in Twenty-Four as the wife of a Terrorist Cell in America...she was utterly incredible. Next time was Mass Effect. Her ascent worked so well as the Quarian Admiral. She is a massive treasure to the screen she appears on but her voice is simply Iconic.

To be honest, she is the only one that looks and acts exactly how I pictured her in my mind, while reading the books. I like the other characters, they just aren't how I initially pictured them.
And to think her swearing was was dialed back for the first 3 seasons.

Avasarala es definitivamente uno de mis personajes favoritos de la serie. La interpretación de Shohreh en la pantalla es tan soberbia, que cuando releí la serie de novelas Avasarala en mi mente era ella, de voz, sari y cuerpo presente. Me encanta.
