I turned 60 this year. Dear younger me. Why has the love of God been so hard to grasp? To feel His love? His forgiveness? His sacrifice? If I too could go back and tell that 10 year old. That 30 year old. That 50 year old. The damage done to you emotionally is a flawed filter of God's truth. Put those at His feet. Healing comes thru surrender. Expect the struggle. Do it afraid but do it. He's got this. You are not alone. ❤️

I also turned 60 last December merciful is the Lord our God who strengthens us through his word and yes it is a struggle to understand that we are only righteous through him for we were dead in our sins until redeemed

If only my nephew had known this truth instead of believing a lie, that same lie that the enemy one has feeds to all of us, that we are unworthy and unforgivable, he still would be here with us, Philip took his life 8/13/19 he was only 26 years ago.😢
So sorry to hear this. Yes, for some reason it is very hard to understand what Christ truly has done for us. We are so stuck in feeling unworthy it's hard to hear the truth, it's not us, it's what Jesus did that makes us worthy. See you in heaven one day soon! :)
I wish my grandson knew that he was okay right where he was. If only he had put his trust in Christ instead of the lies he was told. He hung himself February 14, 2022. He was 25 years old.
