- Challenged by my mate Francis who reckoned you couldn't get a 'big' adventure bike up this lane without having to push. Fifty quid going in the prize draw for Rich Rowe if we make it...
www.crowdfunde...
You are mad Nathan. Well played, non the less. Looking forwards, like all your generous followers, to winning the bike.
Merry Christmas to you, Dave, Ben and all your team, and your family.
50 quid well earned Nathan. Hope you're having a good christmas 👍
Well done Nathan! That bike has a lovely growl. Have a great time you and your family. Les
Well done Mr M. Thank you Francis, you should have known better!
Nicely done especially on those tyres
👍That was brilliant as usual. Like the sound of the 450MT.
Top job mate 👍
Also, a great advert, for the abilities of the CF Moto!
Well done, amd Merry Christmas, Nathan. Nick
Well done,mate👏
£50 well earnt👍
this bike rocks, you took it to its limits but still be able to stay on its wheels 🫡🫡🫡
Just ordered a 450MT on Monday in South Devon thanks to your previous review of it and this video just solidifies it. Well done for staying upright, that mud looked slippy as hell in some sections
You had me tensing up going up that second lane!!
Great bike love mine ❤
Happy Christmas to you Nathan🤶🌲
Good effort! You made the second lane look easy! I did duck for the zigzag branch :) Merry Christmas! :)
Thanks ZZpza. You too. Have a good one!
Excellent... That second lane looks tough...
Well done Nathan, I’ve put some money in the kitty and Merry Christmas.
That is a good effort, take a bow.
Have to admit tyres maje a massive difference for me.
I am rubbish, but if I don't want to end up on my backside I need a knobbly tyre
I usually stick to dry hard oacjed stuff which is where we ride a lot abroad.
Standard tyres are fine for this.
Ride safe 👍
Yeah I totally understand. I've actually got a set of E09s to go on the CF moto so I am partial to a bit of grip as well!
Great effort Nathan. MT is proving to be a trusty servant.
Heartbrake hill no problem👍
Hope you and family have a very good Christmas and all the best for 2025. Cheers
You too Phil. Will visit soon!
Well done..!!! That's a lane for big outfit, that. Clear that mud..!! 🙂
I find it really frustrating how all the major manufacturers have dropped the ball regarding what riders want. The 450MT is a modern incarnation of the KLE500 that CF Moto have listened to what riders wanted and done it. I hope they do really well because the so called leaders of the pack need a sharp kick up the arse for slacking. BMW already had a great middle weight in the F/G650 it just needed a few tweaks to make it ideal. Nice riding to grab the £50 for the Can-Am funds. I will purchase some more tickets for your sterling effort.
Kawasaki is making a new twin ADV bike. Most likely a Versys 500. It should come out in 2025.
@@TwistofWrist I believe it will actually be a KLE, going by their teaser from EICMA 2024.
Exellent!
Success was never in doubt.
That was brilliant, always worrying by yourself. Fair play Nathan
Yes, focuses the mind when you're out on your own. I do quite like it though. Ride your own pace, heightened sense of awareness and I tend to crash less on my own
Nice ✌🏻💪🏻
Keeping an eye on your reg plates so I never buy one of yours second hand 😏
Haha. Very wise!
I would only take my TW200 down something that sketchy. Nice showing by your riding and the MT450.
Haha…well done NTP😀
What Lomo gloves you using? Coming from Glasgow, ive noticed them a few times. They do cycling/MTB/Kayaking/Sailing versions. Wondering if youve found something that works well?
That CF Moto 450 is defo the bike of the year for me.
seeing as you went full "canoe" on that lane I'll buy another 20 tickets for the draw☺😜
Cheers John!
I used a nearby construction site to do capability testing. After some rain I tried to go through some cake mix mud and it locked up the front tire. Someone saw me and came over to push me off. Probably the more dangerous, was finding wet clay on a forest service road. There were no ruts and it was basically a skating rink. The road to the Arctic is known for bending people and bikes because of mud like this.
Yes I know the stuff. No grip whatsoever, irrespective of tyre choice.
I would say that looked like a hard earned £50.
I did have a bit of a dab on, and feeling it today in the back!
Hello, i keep seeing bikes with this seat cover - where can i get one?
Sent in my fiver, but don't expect you'll be shipping across the pond.
Either way, be well, and get well, and stay well...
Thanks Paradox. Appreciated.
Evening matey, was it you and your crew that i saw in the pilsner bar in Prague airport on 9/12? If not you have a doppelganger.
No not me officer. Haven't been to Prague in a long time!
Hey Nathan, I saw a while back you were saying your opinion of the himmy 450 was changing. Would love an update from you on it and your feelings.
Yes I've been meaning to do something on it for ages. I have a video to upload now but yes I've started to appreciate it, though not fully love it. Feels a little cumbersome and unpolished after the CF Moto. My customers also rated the CF Moto far above the Himalayan on the day rides. The TRiumph was also very popular.
@@nathanthepostman I'm fully into my mt450 I've done the sprocket mod and its turned into a great road bike , as yet ive not taken it off road but looking forward to it 😍
U said it has great Precision with throttle cause its not RBW but.. People r complaining about jerky throttle at low speed...🤔🤷♂️😒 which 1 is true...
It's snatchy when you're transitioning from closed throttle to open throttle, but if you're on power it's perfect. And it really isn't as bad as people are making out. You have to adjust to it, but any average rider should be able to do that
200kg is heavy for this terrain, not an easy ride, well done.
I might take my vfr down that lane.
Haha. I'll wait by the phone
Can l enter the raffle for the Honda from Ireland?
Can't see why not. You'd just have to take care of the collection and registration if you did win.
Have you done the iom green lanes?
Yes we did a few (not all of them) last year. Some great lanes. Would love to get back and do some more
Nathan, in your opinion, is it worth waiting three or four months here in the USA for the CF Moto 450 ibex to show up, or go with a Himalayan 450?
Wait three months for the CF moto in my opinion
£50 double or quits: send it Francis 😊
Don't encourage him. It's always someone else who's left to pick him up
@nathanthepostman 🤣🤣🤣
We’re doing this on the 28th on Electric if Nathan actually doesn’t bottle it!
😊I have never fallen off riding with you Nathan, I simply put the bikes down to have a little rest every now and then.
The first bike is not on the same trail as the CF Moto 450. The CFMoto 450 is not a heavy bike at 370 lb, with no luggage. Don't fool yourself about that lanes terrain and America. I total my 22 CB500X in a 3 inches clay coloured water in a "puddle" on township road that became a pit with 25 inches of soft clay below. It required a farmer, who said I was lucky the otherside was 6 inches deeper, and his dump truck to pull the bike out of the clay pit from hell. I have major reservation's about CFMoto, although they are in partnership of KTM and using their motors, I question the Chinese reliability as their culture, to skim will start using cheaper materials as time progresses.
A CF moto weighs 440lbs wet. It was just an example of him falling off. Obviously not the same lane. Hopefully honda can learn something from the CF moto and build a bike to compete
Nathan and I are mates. He didn’t say I fell off on the lane the bet was about, but 3 days before I went down it on the KTM and finished it cursing as paddling all the way with thorns in my face, lid steamed up from non stop rain, made me curse and irrationally bet Nathan to ride this on his CF moto with its bald rear tyre. The guy is a legend and can get an adventure bike down a Kane most of us can only dream about.
My skills aren’t bad and my EXCF will go almost every where, but slow paddling doesn’t really “float my boat”, it’s just a slog of a lane.
The lane you see me in the deck is a local notorious lane called “Snapper”.
I stopped halfway up the reverse side to help others getting stuck, but wet slippery rock, covered in leaves just spun me out.
I’ve ridden his bike and it’s brilliant. The fact the tyre is worn just highlights the guys ability.
When you start stating Chinese build quality, don’t be xenophobic towards a country that makes over 50% of your house hold items including your mobile phone, Microwave, TV etc etc.
I rode these lanes 45 years ago. They were much better before the 4x4 lads dug them up and allowed the water to wash them out.
Yeah I bet. I imagine there were a lot more to ride as well back then
that cheap chinese bike did well ;;
