just received mine few weeks ago and played three game with it, so far I love it, light, great mobility but not a big fans of the hybrid tuck, thanks for you review
I wear the Mach chest protecter and wear it untucked, I find the arms long and will try tighten it up as you suggested. I honestly don’t think it worth the high price to replace mine yet
Thanks. After using it on the ice, here are my thoughts. Conforms well to the body, feels nice and integrated. I took some pucks in the chest/torso area that I didn't feel. Got one stinger in the forearm which surprised me, I'm not used to those in the Simmons chest protector I was using. Adds a lot of size, especially in the shoulders. Arms are too long for me. That's my biggest issue with these - might need a medium even though I am considered Large based on the sizing chart. I think it's a solid chest protector but make sure you like the length of the arms before using it. Try it on at home before wearing it on the ice in case you need to return it.
Vaughn slr3 has a hybrid belly System too.
I didn’t know that. Thanks.
@@goaliestrength you can wear it tucked into pants, untucked or halft tucked. Great Feature.

Thanks. Glad to hear you like it.
I’m your size and have been in a medium since the 1s. Even my ccm eflex 6 is medium.
Just ordered mine today specifically for what you mentioned, wanted something less bulky.
Cool! Let me know how you like it.

Let me know if that helps.
@@goaliestrength I tighten up completely and found it a bit to tight, loosening them to the half point is spot on and helping them stay in place
Can we get the on ice review? Nice vid btw.

I'm 5'10 175 and use hyper2 XS lol I'd be swimming in a Large and couldn't move at our size .
That's wild. How can the sizing be that off? 5'10 175 is a Large in their sizing chart, a Medium at most.
Why this and not the Hyperlite 2?
Do you like the Hyperlite 2?
@@goaliestrength I’m stuck between the two trying to decide…
