- I show you how to reset the audio / sound settings on a Samsung smart tv. Maybe you have sound or audio problems like no sound but only picture, audio goes in and out, out of sync, delayed, audio sounds funny or muffled or echoing, audio / sound is very low (even though volume is all the way up), or you just want to factory reset the audio / sound back to factory defaults for a clean slate, etc. This can also help if you have audio issues when watching apps like TH-cam, TH-cam TV, HBO Max, Disney+, TH-cam for Kids, ESPN, Fubo, Sling, Hulu, Starz, Amazon prime video, Netflix, Vudo etc. Hope this helps.

THANK YOU !!!!!!! I’ve been dealing with lip syncing issues for months on my new Samsung TV !!! This made my day !!!! Thanks for making watching TV more enjoyable now ! 🎉
Thanks bro, it was actually unplugging my hdmi lol. But appreciate folks like yourself putting time in to help people with everyday problems.
Hmm gonna try this
Jazak Allah khair brother
My mother pressed optical option mistakenly
But through your video I have resolved the issue in just a minute
May Allah bless you more and more
FIXED on my own ... Simply turned off the TV and unplugged it for 2 minutes, then plugged it back in and the sound came back on. I believe the issue was that I am using an external amplifier that still showed power to it even with the TV off. When I unplugged the TV, the power light on the amp went out, so somehow the TV or the amplifier was able to reset itself after disconnecting, then re-connecting the power. I had tried everything else first ... settings etc.
this worked thank you
This is Maggie again. My dumb Samsung has a smart Apple TV box. Even though I couldn't get to settings on my Samsung remote, you gave me the idea to go to settings on my Apple device. There was no reset option in the Audio settings but I did find a way to reset/update on another menu page. Maybe it was under System...
It took quite a few minutes, maybe 15, but now my TV has sound again. I never would have thought to do that on my own. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Thanks. This did it. I couldn't access the equalizer until I watched your video.
Thank you very, very much. I thought my TV was done and it was time for a new one
Thank you so much I’ve been struggling to fix the sound and can and found u thx so much for helping me out
This helped big time for me! Thanks! Very much appreciated

your tip to disconnect the tv worked for me. Thank you ! I was fed up with the sound not coming back .
Same. I had to unplug and replug to get it to work
Thank you. This worked for me too.
Your explanation was great. I could not fix the sound on my TV since two days was very much annoyed and found your video. That did amazing job and I got the volume back. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for the information, now I can watch my TV in peace
Thank you very much! Unplugging it for a few minutes reset it🙂

Thank you God! I just bought this TV after my Visio gave me the black screen of death. I had to change the output to something called PCM, but your vid led me in the right direction. Thanks!
Thank you! I thought I was going to have to get rid of my tv! This fixed the issue!
❤Nowhere could I find how to get sound with the Samsung remote for Prime Video that I was unable to pull up on my Universal remote. Your video solved my issue. Thanks oodles.
Glad I found this, My issue was that there was no sound AT ALL. Turning it off and on didn't help, so thanks!

Thank you!! The sound on my Samsung TV suddenly disappeared after doing a channel scan through my Fetch Box. Through your guidance I was able to find where to reset the sound.
Wow thank you so much Is really working ❤
Thanku man!! It worked.
Thank you it worked
IT WORKED. I LOVE U💋
I have sound when wahtching cable TV (HDMI port) but no sound when playing video on apps (SMART HUB) TH-cam etc. or when I plug in my USB.
Also i noticed little blue patches on screen just as yours in one corner. Its visiable mostly when background is white or similar. Is it bad?
What if I don't have a remote. The sound button on the side of the tv turns it up a little but the sound volume is still low. Is there a way to connect speakers to the tv? Or headphones?
Thankkkk youuuuu it worked😊
You sound like a reasonable man.
I have a Q80 Samsung and until recently it has started to default the sound output to TV speakers instead of my Samsung Anynet bluray system. I have to always manually set it and each time I power off and then back on it forgets the setting for HDMI and defaults back to TV speakers.
I have heard many others have this issue, but it seems nobody, including Samsung know what to do with it.
How hard can it be ???
It used to work flawlessly since day one and I've owned the TV for nearly two years and it's only just crept in the last month or so.
Can you offer any advice ?
I have also checked firmware update and there isn't one for the present time.
I have the same issue. My samsung series 5 plasma works with my amplifiers perfectly.
My NEO qled tv has the issue youre describing 99% of the time. 1% of the time it turns the amplifier on too
I have a samsung 900 soundbar on my series 5 now, and that doesnt turn on automatically either
I honestly think its a samsung ARC issue
Same issue here. Samsung
Q80 and Samsung soundbar Q60. Correct settings for this setup is HDMI eARC and Anynet
+. I ha ve occasionally been able to set to PCM or Passthrough mode, but that usually gets set to Auto without any effort on my part. The TV has a mind of it's own. I also tried the Game settings as a work around, but that didn't work. It's seupbis TV+SOUNDBAR. If you change Apps or flip channels or with settings, the TV will change to Audio/TV Speaker. I'm using all correct
HDMI E-Arc, Any net+ settings. My Reset buttons are grayed out, as in Not Available. Connected to high speed internet via Ethernet. Trying for months to find a solution. Please help me find an answer.
@@PattiOrsburn I found out why my Anynet wasn't turning on with TV. No matter what setting I chose in the sound menu, nothing cured it and it always defaulted to TV volume on every restart.
What I discovered was that my TV volume was turned up during the time it would normally sync with Any net.
When I turned the TV volume to zero, the Anynet would instantly turn on with the TV.
Check your TV volume first.
Sometimes we have a tendency to start upping the volume via remote control before Anynet has had a chance to boot up and thus inadvertently raise the TV volume while Anynet is loading.
Hope that helps. It fixed it for me.
Cheers and all the best.
@@tonymontana897 I have found this problem on lots of websites
Lots of different brands, but it's always Dolby Digital audio settings. Samsung support says to update tv software. Well I already have the latest version. So it didn't fix anything. Then they suggest doing a tv reset and reboot a couple of times. First things I tried when I started out trying to fix the audio problems.
Is it possible to connect a powered subwoofer to a Samsung tv and still use the built in tv speakers at the same time???
It worked!!! Thanks
Thank you, sir, for the help.
Most welcome!
What I'm hoping for is this ; From my Spectrum Cable Box thru my Smart TV thru my Surround Sound Stereo I have Surround Sound from all Cable Channels. I also have Surround Sound thru my DVD Player with the Video going straight to the Smart TV and the Audio going straight to the Surround Sound Stereo .
The problem is I can't figure out why I can't get my Netflix and HULU Streaming Services to leave the TV and go thru the Surround Sound Stereo . When I'm watching either of the Streaming Services the Audio will only come out of the TV . Is this something you could help me with please ? I hope you're doing well and staying safe . 🎸
In my case even this doesn't work. It is as if the TV decided to boycott sound from Mac (the audio from TV plays). It played from Mac on the first day.
Thank you it work
Thank you!!
Thank you so much cause I have to use a roku remote Samsung remote and soundbar and I don't know what messed up my sound
The sound on my Samsung TV worked on everything but TH-cam. Reset on audio/expert settings got it back again. 😀

Thanks

thank you! fixed our issue.
This didn't work for me BUT!! I unplugged my tv for a min then plugged it back in and it's working. Unplugging the tv for a min also helps if a app won't open.
Thank you, so relieved😅
ur a g 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Many thanks, very helpful.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
I'm not sure what I did but following your advice about resetting sound on my Samsung worked. Thank you, thank you, thank you 😊
Tried the steps, but they didn't work; however, unplugging the power outlet and re-plugging them in helped fix the audio issue on the TV.
This is the only comment that really helped thank you
Mines work thank you
Thanks!
I have an older Audiovox TV does not have Audio Setting option to change sound from mono to stero !! Help!!! Please& Thank you
I have that remote and I use to push volume button and hold it would go up or down now I have to keep pushing button to move sound can you tell how to change it back?
Is there any way of connecting headphones to my Samsung 6 series 40”?
Thanks.
Yeah but I have that but my TV isn't highlighting that option. How do I fix that?
Thank you very much
Help please. There's way too much bass in the mix. The booming bass in many movies makes it impossible to understand the dialogue. Doing the reset audio as you instructed didn't change the base. No problem with news and most tv programs. It's the bass in movie voices and music. What to do? Thanks.
Hlo
Bro same problem here
If u get any solution tell me for my tv
Try adjusting the equalizer
Thank you bro❤😢
thank you very much the muffle sound of our tv gone..
It happened again & this time unplugging it & plugging it again helped
Nice info as always.👍
Thank you😁
here is the fix, How to fix the low sound problem and I figured it out, go to sound and under that you have a sound mode setting, normal is very low, if you use optimize it increases the decibels and there is another amplify which makes it very loud, optimize is the best I found, set to that and it works great
Wow, thanks so much!!! I very much appreciate it.
There’s no sound when I use the soundbar. So I tried this but the reset sound option is greyed out and not available. Any tips
thanks this fixed my tv
Didn't work
Same
Unplug hdmi to cable
I’m super late lmao hope you both found out problem before returning tv like I almost did lol.
Gook built bullshit
I agree
I tried the sound reset but the problem I'm having is everytime I raise or lower the volume I get this annoying voice repeating every step (not my wife) then when I turn the set off it does a loud dong sound. Thank you for any help!
Thank you! This fixed my issue.
It sure worked. Thanks a lot!
Je itko od vas zna kako spojiti televiziju sa mobitelom, ali da vam zapravo radi?
Thank you so much ✌🏽
Adding that after I reset the sound, I had to turn the TV off then back on.
I want to connect an Auvio Wireless headphones to my Grandmother's Samsung TV and have the sound go through the headphones. Not the speakers. How can I do that?? We have purchased an HDMI to AV adapter.
We'll see what happens. My issue is every time a commercial comes on the sound stops. I change the channel to get sound back. Every time. Frustrating.
I can't get sound to come through my sound bar when i set it to optical it will only come thru the sound bar if i select tv speaker?
It did work
Ive got a samsung new qled and a Denon home amplifier.. each time I turn the tv the tv over rides the settings and send the audio out the tv speakers. Not out the HDMI amplifier.. any tricks to fix that?
I the set top box is plugged into the receiver not the tv. I dont use the tv for sound
