    Solutions 2 and 3 worked for me as of February 2024! Had sooo many apps that we've never used in the App Manager and deleted most of them. Also unplugged the TV for 30 seconds after deleting the apps before turning it on again. Thanks for the helpful video, been dealing with this issue for the past couple of months and seems to be resolved for now.

    The first thing I suggest everyone to do is to UNPLUG your TV from the electrical source and wait for 15-30 seconds then PLUG it back in. See if the ptoblem is fixed.

      No problem! Sometimes the problem with the Samsung TVs is simply too much electricity stuck in a loop. When you turn it off and let it rest, it reboots the settings and discharges the cable, giving it a good chance to work once again as originally intended!

    Wow deleting un-used apps immediately fixed my volume that was previous stuck at 15 and not going up or down.

    Thanks heaps! Fixed my mums tv by deleting a couple of apps. Her memory wasn’t even full but deleted a couple it fixed the issue.

    Thank you! The tv was headed to the curb and I looked for fixes again and found this. Our problem was even worse as the remote lost pairing with the tv. Pairing fixed this. I was only able to free up about 10% of memory.

    My Samsung tv volume repeatedly got stuck between volume levels. I used this video to delete a bunch of the junk apps the tv came with and it seems to have freed up enough memory to make the volume work again 👍🏼.

    Suggestion 1 wasn't it available option and suggestion to was greyed out for me however after deleting as many apps as I could in Section 3 it fixed the problem. Thank you very much.

    Half the screen went dark on me too. First samsung issue I've had. And I buy alot of their stuff. Wish there was quality american T.Vs. get off your ass and speak up at your jobs! We're deteriorating slowly.

    Hello ~ Thank You for sharing this information. Is there a way to set the "volume" (behind the scenes) so the person with the remote cannot raise the volume past 75% ? We have an elderly parent who sits in front of the TV all day - with the volume at 100% - and gets angry if we lower the volume. Yet - in normal daily conversation, she can hear just fine. As long as she sees 100 on the screen, she is fine. Do you have any thoughts?

    OK, but how do you hit delete on the remote which button deletes the apps which button deletes the little two blue dots on what you’re talking about? What do we use to delete? I don’t see the word Delete anywhere on my remote control.

    Every app on my samsung tv would not delete. I get a message that says "the basic set of apps on your tv cant be deleted". Why are Disney+ and ESPN considered basic apps? So I had to reset my smart hub. By the way, my tv was disconnected from wifi when I was having the volume issue.

    Yeah none of this ever happened until I updated my TV to I think it's a software issue I don't use it connected to the internet. Or have any installed apps other than preloads and I deleted everything I could that was available to delete so I can have the most memory available. But for the heck of it I use my hotspot on my phone to update TV to see what new features may be available and this is when all the problems started. I think I will do a factory reset if possible to get back do the way it was. the TV guide menu seems to be a bit glitchy too since update I try to scroll down and it keeps going back up to the last Channel I was on over and over trying to scroll through the channel menu it gets so frustrating it keeps going back over and over. But the sound test definitely unlock the volume.

    i have a sillo smart tv and when it will not let me change the sound level up or down when i mash the sound arrows the numbers or the bar dont even show up on the screen. and i never hooked up my tv to the internet.

    I have the same problem. I reset the Smart features but nothing changed. Then I tried to deactivate the smart features but the option was not deactivated! I press from the controller the button to disable both features, but neither of the options is deactivated!

      I have same issues. Volume stock 15. Unable to delete all rubbish app also reset factory settings. Nothing changed.

    OK using the second option worked on the volume but I can't get connected to the WiFi as it won't let me enter a password. Any help would be appreciated thanks

      For clicking self diagnosis you have to exit any app youre in and the smarthub button also doesnt work for me 😭

    I reset the hub, the one that will definitely work, and when I turned the tv back on the defect still hung around

    This is a highly annoying process to perform every 2 weeks. Unfortunately, only the first solution worked for me. I wasn't able to unselect the Smart Features in the General menu or delete any apps. My TV shows I have zero storage available with Netflix, Prime, ESPN, and Internet apps preinstalled and it won't let me delete them.
    Fortunately, most of the time I'm using my PS5 headphones, but it does get annoying on the rare occasions I want to use just the TV speakers.

    I have a 6 series samsung, and the volume will go up and down, just not past 11 I tried the hub reset it didn't work but I can't do the other two bc it says the apps thing is down and when I go to turn off those two settings it doesn't do anything when I press the select botton..... what do I doooo 😭😭

    I did all 3, meaning I lost all my preferences & saved channels, and my volume key still won't go below 6
