Great minds think alike. Gregg made these last Tuesday. We didn't film it, but they came out amazing! Good idea on the wrap. We just ate ours with a fork and knife.
They are tough to eat but really good. I knew it would be good but it was better than what I expected.

Thank you very much. As far as the mustard goes I liked it and will do it again. I've seen and heard In-N-Out does that but this was my first time trying it. I thought the burger and everything worked well together even though I forgot the sauce.

Yes you are correct. From what I understand you order a Flying Dutchman and ask for it onion wrapped. Since this went viral everyone is just calling it a Flying Dutchman. However it was really good. Thanks for watching.

It's a copycat of the In-N-Out burger. The onion bun is the whole point of the video. It was damn good to.

Too gimmicky. These things don't last. What's next, bell peppers as buns? Maybe two full turkey breasts or a couple slabs of cod?
Yes it may be a viral gimmick but it was damn good. If you are doing a low carb diet this would be a go to.
@@griddlecookeatandmore Sadly, I am stubbornly a traditionalist. I like coffee flavored coffee, beer flavored beer and burgers with actual buns (or bread).
This has been a option on the secret menu for many years now. Most people just order a double double onion wrapped no tomato or lettuce. That way they get the sauce. The actual flying dutchman is just 2 patties and 2 pieces of cheese. All of these have been a thing for a long time and wont be going away anytime soon.
Still not sold on the onion bun replacement. Maybe it's because I have a bias against onions (unless they are fried crispy). I'll eat the hell out of a container of French's fried onions but onions otherwise are off-putting to me. It's a texture thing.
