Deep in the heart of Jakarta's slums lies an impenetrable safe house for the world's most dangerous killers and gangsters. Until now, the rundown apartment block has been considered untouchable. Cloaked under the cover of pre-dawn darkness and silence, an elite swat team is tasked with raiding the safe house in order to take down the notorious drug lord that runs it. But when a chance encounter with a spotter blows their cover and news of their assault reaches the drug lord, they find themselves stranded on the 6th floor with no way out. I prefer how close quarters the first film is. The second is great but it isn’t as desperate, which is one of my favourite parts of the first film.

I'd like a raid 3 (as much as I absolutely loved Raid 2) to go back to a claustrophobic type setting like this. I know the director already said we're not getting another one though.
His plan was for the raid 3 was the Yakuza in the Indonesian jungle hours before the ending of the raid 2, he did mention wanting to go back to the claustrophobic setting but sadly I don’t think it’s gonna be made

@@sachinrathee0611 the director just said he felt that 2 wrapped up everything nicely so didn’t feel the need to make another movie. I do hope he makes some sort of martial arts movie at another time, we need cool stuff like the raid again
@@Subtle_calamity wrapped up nicely? We don't know what happened to Rama. They should've either killed him off at the end, or released a final short film to conclude the sequel. Either way, what's done is done.
For those who don't know the machete guy actually uses a formal, polite way to adress himself and others "saya (I/me/mine)" and "kau (you/yours)" while the others use "gua/gue" and "lo/lu" which are like slangs, very informal, can either be friendly or very rude in certain situations, to certain people, and certain ways. It's more of his dialect tho that he speaks like that. Plus, he closed the door, such good manners he has.

Tbh the translation actually enhances the movie. It's not accurate but in hindsight, those who don't know Indonesian would think that was the way they speak and in this kind of setting, it makes total sense.
Damn this movie series is awesome. I definitely watch the 3rd movie if it's came out. I would like to see rama get recruite by the Japanese mafia by the end of raid 2 and take him to japan to take down rival gang but betray them at the end. That's good suggestion for sequel right?. Anyone?!.
Sadly, there's no another sequel (the raid 3), the director has no plans to make it happen
