- A friend told me about the treasure hunt in the area, so I did a quick search!

Hi Alan, The first clue: Time is Transcendent... Back to the Future, I think they are meaning of the effect that Marty on the name of the shopping mall, at the start of the movie the shopping mall was call Twin Pines and at the end of the movie the shopping mall was call Lone Pine. Because Marty ran one of the pines over in the DeLorean in 1955. So what you may need to look for is a Twin Pine(s) or a Lone Pine(s)

i think the wingless plane is a train, and the pointing to heaven is the big split pointing up on the side of the mountain and it looks like a frown, thats prob 809 feet tall

LOL look at the Concrete Company for the arrow pointing upside doan. LOL I know Old Route 66 from the 1950's Hitch Hiking back and forth going swimming at Huntington Beach, Ca. from St. Joseph, Mo. That Concrete plant was built to build the Highways throughout the area. I am 84 Years old. . If you want to find many artifacts go to the Plank Turnpike . I found many articles in that area.

"points towards heaven" = hilltop, "but is upside down" = valley. "2 less than the first" = 2 to the left. "Airplane without wings" = tanker or propane tank
The funnel shaped tank points down.
Points towards heaven = 2 mounds or hills; frown = a depression in the ground between the hills
Beware that smaller clues could have been "readjusted" or moved by a prospector to throw off others.

Alan, throwing you a curve in the poem. What is a transcending time in Utah? Only thing I could think of is Promontory Point where East united with West and changed the land forever. 5 miles up the road on Rt. 83 is a Northrop Grumman facility and there next to the road is a NASA missile on display with another one in the background (using Google Maps). A missile does not have wings. It is also kept in a silo and crossword clues use grain tower to mean silo. I am unsure of the question in the poem - What points to heaven but is upside down? The Northrup Grumman facility is not fenced off at the entrance whee the missile is. Promontory Point Museum has trees but I could not see a tree wtihout bark. You may be correct about it being a utility pole. .

I wish I could come to Utah for the treasure hunt right now. I think I have a idea where it is. If someone here checks this out and finds it please let me know. I thinks its off highway 36. The clue two less then on top of the first. I think it is in reference to William Ajax Underground Store Historic Site. Look it up and read the description. There are some crosses along the road heading south. The only other clue going south there is a weather monitoring center with a wind speed and direction sensor. It looks like a airplane with no wings. I think the box is right by the Faust Pony Express Station Site.
The tree with no bark would be the power poles
There are coordinates on the map on Google Earth
Could tree also be a family tree? Their 8th hint also says that research "is going to need to be done." There are a number of family research spots that might offer clues, for example maybe The Riverton FamilySearch Library was owned by a Riverton family, and there's a road, field, park, etc. associated with them somewhere?
I cannot do cryptic stuff at all. Hats off to people who make any sense of the clues. 😅

the hill in the background has a frown on it and on top in the middle is a lone pine
From the start, marks the spot is an x. Check on/ around the railroad crossing signs. Maybe look though a couple of them for the backless tree?
I have really enjoyed this treasure hunt and I think you can figure it out. The clues are from the Back To The Future Movies. Some of the clues are direct form the movie's. Even twin pines lodge and lone pine lodge.
I hope you find it.

Maybe you should have looked inside the collapsed cellar of the old cabin, Alan... "stairway to heaven", but upside down as it leads underground into the cellar, and when you are in it look at the walls of the cellar at shoulder height?

When you were looking for the frown, check your video, the clouds were frowning
near cabine points to haven but upside-down ,chair legs pointing to haven but is upside-down.
I've spent many, many hours looking at my comptuer, hiking trails and brainstorming with other hunters.... I really don't think it's anywhere near Tooele or Grantsville. It's probably somewhere on the Wasatch front.

It would be a compass because it always points north and north is up so the opposite of north is south so you might be looking for something that resembles a S

Hey Allen, like you don't have enough to do I would think it would be closer to the cabin because whoever it was may have been staying in the cabin so they could look at it when they were there and use the cabin as a reference point good luck be safe god bless

Oh, we have a Forest Fenn wanna be. Turn around now before it’s too late Allen. if you choose to proceed, you will be going down rabbit holes years from now.
This is really a great idea until it’s not…. Although you’re a very smart guy, I believe you can finish the mountain fortress before you find this treasure. But if you choose to continue your best friend will be confirmation bias.

Got a feeling “it’s like a plane without wings” is the back to the future clue. It’s a direct line from the film about the delorian in the barn. So guessing it’s saying whatever it is looks like a plane with no wings but isn’t a plane or could be an old barn.
However think the timeless clue doesn’t relate to flux

I think this would be fun for Sparks Motors to do as a group. Super random, but an Airstream trailer is designed from an airplane and doesn't have wings. If there happens to be one around, check it out. : )

@@helium5912 You are assuming he would find it, he has as much of a chance as everyone else. Everyone who is looking for it is all about the money/profit as well as the fun of the hunt. That is what make is so appealing and has so many people looking for it.
Dave has money because he works his ass off and takes a lot of risks that mostly pay off. None of what he as was handed to him. You can't be mad at him for making good business decisions.
I know it is the Morman culture is to give a lot back to their community. I'm sure he does a lot more charity work than we are aware of because he didn't have money growing up. The people I know that are Mormon don't post the things they do because it's just a normal part of what they were taught, life as usual. I can say for myself, I don't post the kind things I do on social media. We see a tiny portion of his life, I wouldn't be so quick to make a bad judgement about him.

If sparks is involved. Think be best to have teams go to different parts of Utah to find the treasure.
Cause hints are vague enough.
“Get off the road at the airplane without wings” I’m definitely thinking that’s a train. How many sets of tracks are there? I’d walk down the the shoulder of each set. Looking at the Railcars themselves for possible graffiti, or any distinctive marks/crests, also the number or railcars on each sets of the tracks
When you showed the side view of the plant with the silo it locked just like an airplane fuselage, without the wings.
Remember the prison was shut down? Old airport, and grain tower is also known as a prison tower
I kept looking on that hillside seeing what looked like a frown but just guessing
Steel balls ? They are thrown into a giant rock tumbler, and they help crush up the ore.
The number are identifying a certain pole. Drive to the next pole those power lines hang from.

At 13:09 you can see the 'cross' on the twin poles and onthe pole on the left the cross-bar looks like a 7.
"Points to heaven" could there be a town nearby named Paradise or something similar?
