    Hope you enjoyed your hols ...That is a problem with that fault code as people will not do proper checks and change the valve then return it to the customer without verifying they have fixed it..I see a lot of people who can not ,and do not want to get involved in fuel faults..They refuse to use the gauges ..I have my own gauge for checking the underpressure ,Had a cracker on a new vehicle a couple of years ago ..Subject to multiple DAFaids ,like yours underpressure off the scale..turned out when the made the fuel pipe from the tank to the chassis interface at the supplier they left or put a solid piece of plastic in the pipe then put the ends on,,No other way it could get in there ,and when underload it blocked the interface lol....

      Hey norb 👋 I did enjoy the holiday buddy! 30*c EVERYDAY is better than this snow ❄️.
      This is where people go wrong, it's all evidence-based diagnostics in my eyes. YOU HAVE TO FIND A ISSUE! You can't be a parts changer or just try and wing it 🫣
      That issue you had sounds very similar to issues I've had with the transportation valve at the back of the engine! another brilliant design 😅.

      Hey Lee 👋 hope you are well buddy! I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
      Don't get me wrong DAVIE is undeniably THE BEST TOOL for DAF as at the end of the day it's a dealer tool BUT IF a diagnostic tool you can communicate with the truck, read the fault codes and have some tests you have 98% Davie functionality!
      (The other two percent is programming and fault code explanation) 😅😅😅😅

    • @leekebbell9127
      @leekebbell9127 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TRUCKTECHUK Yes, the programming is it’s only downfall, but for fault code explanation, especially for Daf, we call the tech support and they send the explanation/ testing data needed from RMI info (Of course, your vids are brilliant 🤩 and thanks for them, I don’t think I have watched one that I haven’t experienced the same, or similar issues)👍

    Hello,
    I have a question regarding the frequent camshaft failures in the MX-13 engine of DAF XF trucks. What could be the reason behind this issue? Also, I would like to request some tips on how to prevent camshaft failures in the MX-13 engine.
    Thank you in advance for your response!

    • @TRUCKTECHUK
      @TRUCKTECHUK  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, thanks for the comment. The issue is a manufacturing defect, which is why daf are replacing them reactively and then proactively. The affected vehicle owners would have been contacted and told to bring vehicles in for rework under warranty.
      In regards to prevention, the only thing you can do to increase the longevity of the engine is make sure your valve clearances are done when recommended and ensure you stick to the service intervals for oil changes 😉

      What type of engine oil do you suggest for my DAF XF 2019?
      I have heard that some mechanics in our country replace the Euro 6 mx-13 engine oil pump with a Euro 5 gear oil pump for DAF trucks. Is this a safe and acceptable practice, or should I avoid it? Lastly, I am also curious about the ideal oil pressure for my DAF XF 480 Euro 6 engine. Could you please advise me on what the recommended oil pressure range should be at idle and full load?

      Cam lobes are pressed on , after some time or sudden resistance they lose there tolerances and decide to spin freely🤦🏽‍♂️ hence why this problem never happened in the MX13 €5 😎

    Hey bro .is it possible to reset the adblue system with the jaltest .because I see in some videos when the adblue light comes on they ad def in it and they reset the counter when the car is in limp mode not going more then 20km
    .can it be done on daf euro 6 lf ??

    • @TRUCKTECHUK
      @TRUCKTECHUK  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey buddy, I've a table that explains when this happens in my members' area, BUT every time the truck sees an AdBlue level change after ignition off, the ecu does an AdBlue quality check.
      The quality check is performed by comparing NOx before and after catalyst.
      This is then used to evaluate the conversion of NOx. Topping up the adblue starts this process.

    • @TRUCKTECHUK
      @TRUCKTECHUK  ปีที่แล้ว

      Start at the beginning and work your way through the fuel and air system.
      Check for restrictions in fuel pressure such as filter, the same which the inlet on the air system....when was the air filter changed last? Have you checked all the induction system and intercooler? When was the valve clearances set last?
      Fault codes usually indicate a big issue as one system expects another to respond with certain data, and if this isn't correct, you will get a fault code such as a split boost pipe.
      I would pressure test or smoke test the engine for air leaks, then look at more complex things such as vtg, soot load ect
      Hope this helps 🙏

    • @TRUCKTECHUK
      @TRUCKTECHUK  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, thanks for your comment 😊. If your low-pressure fuel system is good I would say your high pressure is possibly correcting to high speed I'd be looking at injectors or fuel pump elements.
      Hope this helps 🤔👌

    • @user-ew2bl8ts6i
      @user-ew2bl8ts6i ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the answer. I recently began to engage in DAF, I have a question if you can answer, I will be grateful. So the high pressure fuel pump shows 10.2% at a coolant temperature of 75 and the amount of fuel at the injectors 16mg / h, low pressure 7.6bar is it precisely by these parameters that something is wrong? Confuses 16mg / h and I don’t understand the pressure created by the pumps why there are 2 of them, and the parameter is 1.

    • @TRUCKTECHUK
      @TRUCKTECHUK  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @user-ew2bl8ts6i I hope you're sitting down for this one.
      So..........
      2 high-pressure pumps means if one fails the truck will keep running, but also two pumps allow the fuel pumps to run at half the capacity.
      The correctional value is VERY important. The PCI ECU knows how much fuel needs to be used per injection. If this is factory correct you would see a correctional value of 0 or somewhere near such as minus from my experience.
      What happens if you start having Injector or pressure control valve issues is the fuel pumps start to OVER correct and your correction value increases........the worse the leak off the higher the correctional value till one day you have fault codes p0094 and p228d.
      This is a VERY basic overview of how these fault codes occur and you can have other contributing factors such as camshaft failure and one-way valve issues in the fuel pumping elements.

      @Martin Ovesný if you can't get into the engine ecu, how are you getting adblue restriction trouble codes?
