1 thing I learned from the Philippines that all throughout the generations they are such a very optimistic people, despite how everything goes against them, they find ways to smile and keep on moving

For better or for worst, it's true.
We can be too optimistic that, on the downside problems don't get solved fast enough as we can legit Optimism our way out of it. On the upside, it made many of us incredibly resilient in tough situations that some may fold easy.

Yup. We even had a soldier with his thumb cut out because of these machete-bearing Chinese soldiers ramming and then harassing the boys. The conflict is about islands located north of our country, which, China claims to be theirs, when it is definitely within our borders. I don't want to get into details about this since I might get attacked by Chinese trolls online.

@@kapebarako survival training??? , it's the British SAS their former colonizer and it's not secret who trained the Americans in Survival Training during the development of Green Beret in the 50's.
      SERE ?? Who founded SERE?
It's Col. James Rowe and he was here in the Philippines training our AFP personnel in SERE or Echo2x if you want to call it, when he was assassinated by the NPA
Col. James Rowe was a Green Beret a Vietnam War Vet and POW who survived in VC Captivity.
We learned from them first and we develop it by our own experiences throughout the years...
When you say Americans are weak in Jungle Warfare then check the MACV SOG and Recondo School during the Vietnam War.
It was their Infantry who cannot adapt to jungle warfare easily, unlike their Special Forces, Seals, MACV SOG, and Marine Force Recon.

FYI: There were about 900 soldiers from the 10th BCT, NOT just 100. If you're gonna tell a story (over and over again) at least get your facts straight.

And for death ratio of the Korean war, it’s about a 1:4 ratio. Yes, quite by a bigger margin. But cmon! US and UN is far more advanced than China during that period plus with China being suffered by the Japanese empire. But still though, the casualties on the SK is quite a lot a well, so probs to the NK side. More probs to them that they (NK) even managed to captured more land too.

Why would I know about Ph history? I grew up in the U.S., 1762? I thought Spain owned that place. That's like saying the American Indians lost ww3 (if it happens in the future and the USA lost) when the natives didn't have control of the land in the 1st place. Wouldn't it be more accurate to say the Spaniard lost to the brits in 1762?
Wasn't the Korean War a, "police action"? The Korean War started in 1950s, which means US already had nuclear bombs and Chinas 1st nuclear test was in 1964. You think the US would lose if it used everything it had at that time?

Don’t even mention China and soldiering in the same sentence. The Chinese for thousands of years were farmers and manufacturers/inventors. They’re very handy with their hands and brains in that way, but fighting isn’t one of their strong points. The Filipinos on the other hand have been fighting for a long long time, even before the Spanish arrived.
