Great Video 👍 I have the OEM tools 13n1 big screwdriver 🪛, and it is fantastic. That Emerald green is one of the reasons I chose to get it because it was so cool looking and when I got it, the handle felt good in the hand ✋. Also when I got that one , I like that so much I order another one for my vehicle. I collect A lot of Multibit screwdrivers 🪛 and each one is a little bit different but I find them all so cool 👍. Now I have two Great Neck tools 11n1 multibit screwdrivers that are solid acetate bright orange 🍊 with black stripes for the handles and one of them has the black cushion grip with there giraffe 🦒 logo on it . These are fantastic also ,and I think they are $9.50 for either one right now I believe on Amazon. Great Neck saw company owns and makes the OEM tools , so both are made in the same place and they do put out some pretty good tools 🧰& At a pretty reasonable price as well 👍👍. Now since I seen 👀the stubby one you showed us I will have to purchase two of them now 😂😂🔥👍👍. Thanks for showing us that one ✅. Those hammers looked 👀 pretty heavy duty and nice quality, I may have to get me a set of them, thanks again for showing us that also ✅. That was a fantastic story about you and your dad 👍👍. That was a great idea 💡 your dad had , it kept you busy and out of trouble but he was teaching you a skill using those tools 🧰. I also like the story of the can of nails you had to straighten and fix so you could drive them in a scrap 2 x 4 and pull them back out again and fix them. I think you learned a skill using the hammer 🔨 but you also learned when you don’t have a lot of money 💵 you learn how to fix what you got and make it work. I think that was a great idea 💡 to teach a young person 👍👍. My dad did a similar method with nails also and I learned how to straighten different sizes so we could reuse them on different projects he was doing around the house 🏠. So I’m glad I not the only nail straightening expert 😂😂👍.Those toddler busy boards are a pretty cool gift for a toddler because they learn to use there sensory skills and use there motor function as well 👍. I did like that fidget spinner, it was cool seeing it spin so freely like that for so long. Well again great video and can’t wait to see what you do on Wednesday. Have a great day. 😃👍👍
I bought the bigger OEM screwdriver a couple of years ago when John first recommended it. I've since bought more for my car, motorcycle, work and both my sons! I also have the smaller one. I can't recommend them highly enough. Thank you Mr Crafter!
Scout great show. My folks are no longet with us but the memories of doing jobs, getting tools to do them and still using them 50 years later brings back so many good memories. Its amazing our fathers knew how to keep us occupied, whilst learning life skills! God bless you and the memories you have!
John, it's funny how many things we share, my Dad also brought me many things home to dismantle, in the vain hope I then wouldn't dismantle things around the house. Whenever we had a tradesman to the house to fix the TV or Boiler etc the poor bloke would have me right up there peering over their shoulder at what they were doing ! I also had an old chest of drawers down the side alley that I could use as a workbench with my small set of real (not toy) tools on, you soon learn how to be accurate with a hammer after you've dinged your fingers and thumb a few times ! The busy boards are all great, I built something similar for my son (no lights) who was always playing with the door latch and bolts etc and he repeatedly tested to destruction the plastic cot toys that have a similar concept. The Wishlist on Amazon is a great thing if you have any patience as so often items on there go on offer soon enough, and then bam - in the basket !
Your Father and yourself and your family and story are the best thing on earth !!!! That type of Love is exactly what our world, country.and people need and a foundation that can never fail !!!’
I love all of that stuff! I used to crawl under furniture to see how it came apart. My favorite was old clocks and watches. But John, don't you want to take that first one apart?
John, I agree with you about giving kids tools and opportunities to learn to use them. When I was about six years old, my dad was doing a porch project and he gave me nails and cutoff boards to learn to drive, straighten and pull nails. It really taught me a lot of manual dexterity and to this day I can drive nails pretty well. He also let me use his tools to maintain and repair my bicycle. I did every repair possible on that old Schwinn bike including the New Departure coaster brake and the crank and fork bearings. When my daughter started school, I bought her a real toolbox with her name on it and started to fill it with real tools bought on sale. No toy junk, real stuff that works. Today she is very grateful at age 40 that she knows how to use all the basic hand tools and has had experience with them. I still have my dad's hammers that I used back then. One, a Collins 12 oz curved claw hammer is original and the other on, a Craftsman (Vaughn) straight claw is now on its third wood handle and is restored to fine user condition. A lot of good memories of project using those tools and the skills imparted.
Always love your stories about growing up and your Dad. When my twin grandsons lived with us when they were little I took them to harbor freight and bought each a claw hammer then to the hardware store where they each picked out a pound of whatever nails they liked. They spent hours pounding nails into an old redwood stump in the back yard and pulling them out. They loved it and always talk about those years. I spent a lot of time pulling and straightening nails in the reclaimed lumber my dad brought home. Those types of things always bring back wonderful memories. Great mish mosh!
Aww jeez. You just HAD to show those button things didn't you?! John, I am a button presser! If there's a button, I'll press it. A switch? That too. Especially if there's a light in it! I always dreamed about being on the Star Trek set when I was a kid. All the buttons and switches to last me a lifetime. I'd have crashed the ship, but I'd have had the best time of my life doing it! Have a great Christmas Sir!
Back in the mid 70's I would go to auctions with my parents. They would give me 25 cents and I would buy some old record player, take it home and strip it down to the last nut and bolt. Just like you, it would be tossed when done. I would also go to my uncle Leo's house and run with his kids till bedtime, and he would always have a flashlight, tools and some type of electronics/mechanical item saved for me and at bedtime he would say "here are the tools and the junk" pull the covers up over it and work till you fall asleep. I have been in the maintenance field all of my 44+ years of working and I was never without a job. I now work with systems that look like the deck of the USS Enterprise and I owe it all to things like you showed. As a hobby I work on watches and would love to find some young person to pass it on too. I better stop typing and head over and get me those cool items.
Thanks for the suggestions. I bought the busy board for grandson and 4 spinners for other grandkids, after watching this. OEM mini-screwdriver is out of stock already, but I had bought the larger one back when you posted it. Have a Merry Christmas, to you and all your followers. Wayne out West
I remember when I was a young boy when we would visit my great grandmother her husband (Uncle Earl) would bring out a box of extension cords for me to play with. Not plugged into the wall, but just for me to plug together and unplug. It fascinated me and I always looked forward to visiting Uncle Earl's house. Thanks for the memories.
Childhood memories. On almost every corner of our residential blocks was a retail shop of some sort. One of my pals family ran the "corner store" grocery. No aisles - all canned and dry goods on wall shelf behind the counter. They slept upstairs but kitchen and eating area downstairs crammed with backroom grocery storage. This was before big box, home centers, and costco. Our only source of wood "lumber" was carefully dismantled orange and lettuce crates - and a cigar box of rusty bent nails that all had to be straightened. Finding a handful of the same size was a lucky day.
"About my maturity level"...🤣. I resemble that remark as well! I just might get the busy board for my wife to use in her pre school. She has been teaching special need skids since the mid 70's and she is always looking for ways to help them learn and challenge themselves. You keep tempting me with the Oem green, darn you. I just might break down and do it this time.
Lol....Reggie's version would be awesome. I love that OEM screwdriver, I just bought another one last week to keep in my truck. My nephew is 1 and the only thing I have bought him so far is a fishing reel and a pocket knife. As you might imagine my sister in-law is less than thrilled when I show up with gifts for her baby 😂. Cheers
Brilliant Scout. I think that these days Xmas is just out of hand. When we were kids we got two presents per year, one on our birthday and one at Xmas, and I mean just one. Always good quality and usually what we wanted so I was always happy. When I got the Tonka dump truck, I had to wait another year for the loader to go with it. My first bike was a big old girls bike my dad found down at the dump and fixed it up for me. I still remember that bike and how happy I was just to have a bike. To me stocking stuffers is the epitome of consumerism. Buying cheap junk that probably won’t be remembered tomorrow and thrown away by next Xmas. Cheers mate, Stuart 🇦🇺
I saw a picture for you! It was of a wall-mounted Fire Alarm that had the cover hinged open, and inside was a toggle switch that got flicked down when a person pulled the alarm.
John, great show as always. I just bought the fidget cube for my older grandson and the busy board for my 3 year old grandson. Thank you for the recommendations.
Man did we e grew up in such a similar fashion, my dad would have me drive nails into plywood then flip the piece Over and I’d hit them out. The goal was not to bend a single nail 😂 I would have loved any of those toys as a kid! I’ll definitely be looking into getting one of those busy boards for my little guy! A perfect Christmas gift in my book 👍🏻
Fun video John!!! I remember the first tools I got in 1957… Handy Andy. I still have 2 screwdrivers from that set. They have a place of honor in my toolbox… Thanks for sharing your video!
Hey! My OEM Tools screwdriver! I bought one when the episode aired and it is in my home repair tool kit. Used it two days ago in the kitchen. And really do like that handle. Eyecatcher. And...I am debating clicking on Amazon! I better walk away a little while to cool off.
I enjoy your videos so much. It's like talking to a neighbor over a cup of coffee. . my chanell is messed up I used to 357bullfrog. Anyway! Keep that camera rolling ol hoss and GOD bless you and yours
Great video. I did not know the word potentiometer. Off to order busy boards. My wife has a great nephew (3) and i am spoiling him with toy cars etc. He loves construction equipment vehicles at the moment. Merry Christmas.
Treated myself to 2 of them 🙂one will be s tock stuffer for the old lady.... the pick set you recommended is sweet too... and I always always enjoy hearing the stories of your dad thanks for sharing! i had to laugh... cause i am very skilled nail straightener as well...thanks my dad... and its a hard habit to break.... Thank Mr. John! Good Stuff!
Nice video. When I was a kid we demoed our sunporch off of the back of our house. My job was to pull all the nails out of the scrap wood and straighten them all and put them in a coffee can. I bought the OEM screwdriver last year from your recommendation. I haven't used it much but its in my arsenal. I do love my Klein 10 in 1!
I have to thank you John I was still struggling what to get my son for Christmas and the busy board might be the answer I'm looking for lol. My child loves to tinker with things as in switching off and on his bedroom light when I'm changing him, opening doors and exploring, or opening the bathtub drain and closing it when I'm giving him his bath lol.
They could make an advanced version of those toys where the fasteners are rusted, stripped, cross threaded or obstructed. After all, a critical skill for mechanics of all kinds is to have an intuitive feel for everything that can go wrong with nuts and bolts.
When you last posted the OEMTools screwdriver I grabbed a couple, and then of course had to get the mini 6in1, the picks and the bottle opener. Can't resist that green!!
I bought the OEM screwdriver when you mentioned it in 2021. thanks for bring the one today to my attention. I also purchased those hammers you mentioned. I also like hammers. Keep producing those videos they are outstanding.
What everybody needs to do now is watch the square hole reaction meme and picture Scoutcrafter losing his mind as someone undoes the Phillips head screw with mole grips ; )
WILD show today! I liked ALL the stuff you showed and as far as us being alike, I was always having to go down to the basement to reset the breaker to the power to my bedroom from fooling around. Wonder I didn't burn the house down. Thanks and God Bless, John!
Nice video. Many people learnt their skills by opening thown away gadgets in the past as new ones were not affordable and repair knowlege was kept as a secret.
It's one thing when something cost more to make than buy new but when materials to restore are becoming more expensive to restore something than buy new that really bugs me.......Paints, Solvents, Lubricants, Rust Removers, Glue, Hardware are all getting so expensive that it's often cheaper to buy new than restore depending on what it is....................I think your Little Possum Buddy might like one of those Busy Boards.
Hey !
I'm going to get my wife the busy board with the fasteners for Christmas. She is great when it come to home crafts but needs DIY handtool practice. I just can't get her to understand that left is to loosen and right is to tighten.
I must have bought the OEM Tools pick set over a year ago and I can't bring myself to use them, they are too pretty. The box, the protective sleeve over the picks....OH MY. I abuse my Snap On set instead...Isn't that saying something.
Ok John, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with you, because if there were, it would make 2 of us with something wrong, that’s not possible, says the guy at 4 years old who took apart one of those old porcelain kitchen tables on my mother, it was me, a box of Cheerios (to snack on, it was hard work you know) and the dog, (my helper and best buddy, especially when I had food), under the table, with most of the screws out mixed in with the cheerios on the floor. For some reason, mom wasn’t happy with her little golden boy, I mean “what” go figure ehy!!!😮😊😂😂. Thanks for the video, got a little off track.
I do like those ideas. My wife and I have everything we need so we decided to skip the gift giving this year. I have the Cadillac project and she has her animals so we are both blessed. But I do love that color of the multi-tip screw driver. Maybe she won't notice a new tool in my box. :)
Watch the cube spin! Your getting sleepy, sleepy, sleepy! You're entering a deep sleep! 😵💫😵💫😵💫 Buy tools! Buy tools! At the sound of the soft blow hammer hitting the boxing bell, Lovingly restored in a previous video, you will wake up with your wallet a few Franklin's lighter!😮
When I was a little fella, I flipped the light switch on and off . I asked my mom what's this, electricity and a light switch she told me ,and your father works to pay for it.
Story about your father was a riot…He got you started…good for him…that spinner was cool …I’m not buying one…I’m not buying one…the gizmo pad was nice and I see the development skills it could in courage…but small pieces with kids is dangerous so nix the gizmo pad …☹️…OK YOU WIN so where do I get that spinner…🤫😂🤣😂……🖖
You know while we are giving our kids helmets and rubber balls the Chinese kids are welding at age 5. 😂😂😂😂. Soon we will be raising a bunch of kids that can only play video games. Oh wait…. 😃👍
Ok John time for a rant, that soft blow hammer set you got look like those nasty sticky handle type grips 🤮😷 ok done, You talked me into that first OEM tools screwdriver now I need that stubby to go with it, Those are very nice
Yes! However these feel slightly different. I will definitely let you know about the composition later on. In good note- Athletic tape over the grips makes for a good fix! 😂
@@ScoutCrafter Tape on a handle? What kind of maniac does that? 🤣 Now I want one of those fidget spinner cubes and one of those switch busy boxes 🥴 taking things apart was how I learned what a paddle was good for 🤫
@@ScoutCrafter We all have put black tape, Leather tennis racket handle tape or duct tape to get a handle on it 🤣 what manic hasn't with a straight face 🤗

Fantastic toys for kids and people with mental disabilities. Great job John. Thank you.
Back in the mid 70's I would go to auctions with my parents. They would give me 25 cents and I would buy some old record player, take it home and strip it down to the last nut and bolt. Everything looks good but I do like the OEM Screwdrivers the best. I will have to look them up. Thanks for sharing this it was great to watch.
The first busy board buttons look like the ones used on the original Star Trek series.
Bought the hammers! Thanks for the find.

I bought the OEM screwdriver when you mentioned it in 2021. thanks for bring the one today to my attention. I also purchased those hammers you mentioned. I also like hammers.
Keep producing those videos they are outstanding.
I love everything you purchased. 🇺🇸
Great ideas! I like the flashy lights and the tool and hardware board are really cool. Thanks for sharing
Thanks so much for the recommendation on the screwdrivers, I bought two. Have a great week..
Brian- You will not believe how great they look and feel. That Green is to die for! 😃👍
Still have a toaster like the one you showed. Makes great toast and I love the quality of it and the art deco style.
Me too! My toaster is circa 1950! 😂👍
Fun video, I'm trying not to look online for those drivers 🔧👍😁
It's one thing when something cost more to make than buy new but when materials to restore are becoming more expensive to restore something than buy new that really bugs me.......Paints, Solvents, Lubricants, Rust Removers, Glue, Hardware are all getting so expensive that it's often cheaper to buy new than restore depending on what it is....................I think your Little Possum Buddy might like one of those Busy Boards.
Yes! Even some auto parts have gone insane- we’re going to have to start fabricating things from scratch! 😂👍
hello John 🛠👍🇨🇦
Hey !
I'm going to get my wife the busy board with the fasteners for Christmas. She is great when it come to home crafts but needs DIY handtool practice. I just can't get her to understand that left is to loosen and right is to tighten.
Superb episode. The busy boards & your commentary had me in stitches !😀
I did buy my son that 9volt battery flashlight you showed us.
I forgot to get myself something for Christmas. Now I know just what to get for myself. Thanks!
That's a great way to teach kids and keep them occupied
Thnx for sharing,sir...Great episode for best show...
Great ideas ! Love em all !
Cool busy boxes!
You know those OEM screwdrivers also have a matching pick set that's pretty nice.
Yes! I did a video on them! 😃👍
Time for some food videos! Do you cook? Have some local New York joints that you could highlight?! Just a thought. Merry Christmas!!
The boards would be really good for doctors offices
I must have bought the OEM Tools pick set over a year ago and I can't bring myself to use them, they are too pretty. The box, the protective sleeve over the picks....OH MY. I abuse my Snap On set instead...Isn't that saying something.
Rob- That Green color is just so beautiful I don’t blame you! 😃👍
I'm gettig that screwdriver/wrench box for my neice!
Wow, we are so much on the same wavelength. Are you sending me a undercover scoutcrafter challenge 😅
Reggy- I wanted to apologize to Debbie for all these suggestions. Hope she forgives me! 🫣😂👍
@@ScoutCrafter I forgive you John he always want’s something after 40 yrs I’m used to it … Debbie xx
I miss my “Snooty” he was always there for me. Mothers might get mad but their love is unconditional. 😃👍
I do like those ideas. My wife and I have everything we need so we decided to skip the gift giving this year. I have the Cadillac project and she has her animals so we are both blessed. But I do love that color of the multi-tip screw driver. Maybe she won't notice a new tool in my box. :)
Wyatt- The Green is addicting! 😂👍
Excellent
Watch the cube spin! Your getting sleepy, sleepy, sleepy! You're entering a deep sleep! 😵💫😵💫😵💫 Buy tools! Buy tools! At the sound of the soft blow hammer hitting the boxing bell, Lovingly restored in a previous video, you will wake up with your wallet a few Franklin's lighter!😮
The baby screwdriver is awesome
Oh wait…. 😃👍
i went and ordered that hammer and soft blow. 14 bucks is a great deal i think
Unbelievable- They always come in handy and these are a much better quality than Harbor Freight. 😃👍
I bought the oem screwdriver and the bits had little or no spring retention and I lost the Phillips bit within an hour.
That was defective! You can call Amazon and they will swap it out. They should be super tight…
I got that driver the day you posted it! Love it
I thought it was a purse! lol
My father taught me about tools then got me the best present ever, an erector set! I wish I still had it along with my Lionel train!
William- The European equivalent to Erector was Mecano. They made wonderful sets too! I have a bunch that I want to show one day. 😃👍
On Amazon it shows you can pull it apart and one side is a toy spinning top
Really? I have to look closer! Thanks!!! 😃👍
Ok John time for a rant, that soft blow hammer set you got look like those nasty sticky handle type grips 🤮😷 ok done,
You talked me into that first OEM tools screwdriver now I need that stubby to go with it, Those are very nice
Yes! However these feel slightly different. I will definitely let you know about the composition later on. In good note- Athletic tape over the grips makes for a good fix! 😂
@@ScoutCrafter Tape on a handle? What kind of maniac does that? 🤣 Now I want one of those fidget spinner cubes and one of those switch busy boxes 🥴 taking things apart was how I learned what a paddle was good for 🤫
@@Maidrite1960years ago I had a hammer that had white athletic grip tape on the handle it was to die for! 😃👍
@@ScoutCrafter We all have put black tape, Leather tennis racket handle tape or duct tape to get a handle on it 🤣 what manic hasn't with a straight face 🤗
Have a great week.
Gotcha 👍👍🔩🔩
BOOM 😂😂😂😂 parked up late kid, some of us have proper jobs 😂😂😂😂😂
@@MrBoom246 🥊😃👍🚚
Yi Yi Tools? ?? 😝
Well……46 bucks later……thanks Scoutcrafter
🫣😂👍
I just Ordered the stubby screwdriver.
You will love it! 😃👍
dont use when cold they will brake
😆
😵💫
Can I send some old tools you can restore for me
I’m still working on tools sent in a year ago! 🫣😂👍
@@ScoutCrafter 😂😂 got a lot of work then
I know you've got a thing for ScoutCrafter Red, but even you can't deny that luscious OEM green, John. Before I forget: Wesołych Świąt!
You are spot on- as much as I like Red in small amounts- Emerald Green and Cobalt Blue are every bit as great!!! Merry Christmas!! 🇵🇱
How many freaking screwdrivers do you need!
Depends on the color.
