Awesome recipe! I've heard that some times duck sauce is also made with pineapple, but I made it with golden apples, since it was all the fruit I had, and I added some radishes and ginger to it, and it came out super good. Thanks for sharing!
Delicious! I only had canned peaches in their juice (not syrup). Drained well, one can is the amount called for. This sauce is so delicious I can’t wait to try it again made with fresh fruit.
I have just got to say....your videos are very easy to watch, cook along with and understand. I also like that you have all items listed before, after and during the video. Great stuff, cant wait to try these out.
I made this succulent Duck Sauce this afternoon!! It was wonderful even my peach wasn't rip enough it tasted great. Next time I'll be more patient and wait until the fruit is ready for it. Thanks and I'll be looking forward to try all your yummy dish! I appreciate your easy to follow directions you're the Best 👍🏻💖😄🌱
I just made it after watching. I had peaches saved in the freezer for smoothies. I don't have potato starch so I used corn starch to thicken. I pulsed the frozen peaches before adding them in with the onion and garlic. Good recipe.
Thank you for your answer to my query. I made the sauce twice using canned peaches (skipping the juice). I worked out fine and everyone who tasted raved lover the sauce. Love your videos! Thanks again.
Really nice to see another video. Lovely recipe. I used to have a porterhouse pork chop with a peach salsa on the menu. This reminds me of the salsa. People should try this. Again, thank you for sharing. Keep cooking. Blessings ChefMike
Loved how well you explained every single ingredient. nice that you say what other options on ingredients are in case you don't have it in hand. Thank you
I love original home recipes, thanks a lot, when I do Chinese pepper steak, people who watches me say,,, what's with all the ingredients?? I say this is real Chinese food!.
I sure do thank you for doing this video as I requested it since it is so hard to get basics here in Chile and it is just easier to make it myself. Thanks
I love love love Chinese cuisine! I am excited to try this recipe. It sounds close to the fresh duck sauce in my favorite Chinese restaurant, but I think they use plums and apricots, which I will do. One of these days I am going to try my hand at making homemade shrimp spring rolls and will whip up a batch of this sauce. Glad I visited you channel and I will be back, a lot! BTW - Have you ever heard of Chinese Pressed Duck? I used to get it at a Chinese restaurant in Norfolk, VA many years ago, and it was called Chinese Fire Duck (not hot or spicy; it just had shaved carrot on top that resembled flames). At any rate, it was the best food I have ever put in my mouth. Do you have a recipe?
*THANK* *YOU* ! I'm tired of using canned/ bottled. I'll use THIS recipe, delicious. (I have yet to try it but it *sounds* delicious.) My tummy can't handle so much hot and fiery spicy foods anymore, so I have to "tone" it down a bit. I can adjust the heat with these recipes. Again, *THANKS!*
Mind blowing!!! All my life I've wondered about how it's made. You are Awesome! Truly delighted and greatful for you sharring with us. Say hello to your new Female Subbie. 😊 Hola & Hello from Orlando Florida.
Not much difference, but potato starch is stronger in terms of thickening while corn starch is not as strong but they both can be used interchangeably.
***** ok thanks for the info and taking time to reply. really love your channel, one of the best i've come across! more vegan dishes would be most welcome. :-)
I've always liked plum duck sauce but my new favorite sauce is Mae Ploy sauce from Thailand. It's a sweet chili sauce. It's both sweet and slightly hot. It's cheap and sold almost everywhere.
Thank you for sharing and now I can make my own duck sauce. I think I will change up the sauce by seeing how it tastes using cherries instead of peaches.
I personally don't like peaches in mind, I will use plum or apricot but I really like the idea of using a cornstarch or potato starch slurry instead of loading with corn syrup for thickness. very nice.
Anyone making this in the future make sure to vent the blend top or use a cloth when blending ANYTHING hot or you risk causing a steam explosion which can be anything from the top flying off the blender and sending the contents everywhere to the container actually shattering.
Do you have to use all those ingredients ? Is there a basic duck sauce quick with less ingredients im asking bc my daughter has allergies. I’m looking for a soy sauce as well with no seeds or nuts . She loves Chinese food but can never order it bc of her allergies I’m trying to cook it for her ❤
I have a question about the hot sauce found in most Chinese restaurants (Not the one in the package) Is that a homemade sauce, or is there a certain brand that is bought.
Thank you for this. My children love making dumplings but I am getting sick of soy sauce and spicy mayo. I have all those ingredients except for sugar but I have dates
Awesome recipe!

I love love love duck sauce. I never would have thought a peach was involved lol
Amber Jones I thought the same thing 😂
I usually call it peach sauce lol.
It's because it usually has apricots instead of peaches. Apricots have a bit more bite to them but peaches are similair enough it should work
Same
I always thought it was made with apples
Perfect instructions, you left no guess work. You got a new follower
Thank you for your answer to my query.
I made the sauce twice using canned peaches (skipping the juice).

I just use peach and apricot preserves and add some vinegar to it.
That sounds like a great idea! If you get a minute, would love to see Measurements! Thank You!!
Excellent knife skills. Kudos!

Looks so yummy can we replace sugar with somthing else ?
Not sure why, but I am so impressed that this was made from fresh peaches. LOL! This looks like a great sauce. Mmmm!
No ducks were harmed in the making of this sauce.
In Boston you get the peach, appricot, and apple sauce varieties depending on where you go

Hi Raymond, can you teach us how to make mumbo sauce?
I use to go to a Chinese food restaurant and the duck sauce had slices of carrots and chunks of pineapple. Too good.

How long does this keep?
I love it when you say SPICEY
Thank you for sharing and now I can make my own duck sauce. I think I will change up the sauce by seeing how it tastes using cherries instead of peaches.

Very good.. beside peaches, is there any fruits that i can substitute to make duck sauce?
ricardo bernabe Plum or apricot are both acceptable.
Are Canned fruits okey if there is no fresh fruits available or not in seasoned?
ricardo bernabe Yes, canned fruits can be used if fresh fruits are not in seasoned.
Thnx so much.....

Thank you. This sauce is amazing
Outstanding!!!!!!
Looks good.
Juat made this and it is delish
Raymond what do you do when peaches/plums are out of season.....canned?
Usually dried or canned peaches/plums. If not then Peach Jam.
Thanks for the sub information!
I was wondering if I could substitute corn starch for potato starch?
chris ross Yes, you can. As the starch is minimal it will not affect the taste.
how about making this recipe with apples?
Excellent
Hmm. I believe that one of my favourite restaurants up north substitutes applesauce for the peaches. I think I'll try that myself. :)
Just made this, so so good!
Thank you. Looks great
Am a duck sauce freak. It's probably good on corn flakes too.
No oil?????
Thank you for sharing
I have a question about the hot sauce found in most Chinese restaurants (Not the one in the package) Is that a homemade sauce, or is there a certain brand that is bought.
***** It's a brand that is bought. 4 gallon in 1 case. Vietnamese company.
Could you tell me the name of it, or no?
Do you own a restaurant? I would love to have dinner there.
That’s much fancier than my apple sauce with vinegar.
Thank you for this. My children love making dumplings but I am getting sick of soy sauce and spicy mayo. I have all those ingredients except for sugar but I have dates
Can I leave out the vinegar????
Germ Warfare Yes, you can leave out the vinegar. The vinegar just brighten the flavor of the sauce a little bit.
Where do you work? What state?
Cooky Muncher Pennsylvania
cool
Thank you very much.
Wow peaches
very nice
bravo man that's what I am talking about
