    I've watched a few veteran reactors and so far you're the only one who remembers Carlac. Good memory.

    We usually see a Master and Padawan, but a three-Jedi team with Yord as a Knight was interesting.
    Twins is very much a Star Wars thing. For eg. The suns of Tatooine, the Death Stars & Luke, and Leia. Plus others such as the eternal empire twin brothers of the Old Republic.

    Yord is a Jedi Knight, not a Master. He has a Padawan, but then so did Anakin without being a Master.

      @erikolson4148 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Only after his Padawan learner has finished her training and has been made a Jedi Knight will Yord become a Jedi Master 🤔?

    • @TheAhsokaTanoFan
      @TheAhsokaTanoFan  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes Yord is a Jedi Knight, but given that Jecki is a Padawan and of lower rank than him, I would still expect her to address him as Master, especially given that Yord does have a Padawan as well. Anakin wasn’t officially a Master, but Barriss, for example, addressed him as Master Skywalker. Even the youngling in Revenge of the Sith addressed him as Master Skywalker, right before he was killed. Ahsoka almost always did as well. The only times she didn’t was when she nicknamed him Skyguy, or when she was having a heart to heart with him, such as when she was on the run in “The Jedi Who Knew Too Much”. She did call him Anakin then, but almost all other times it was either “Master” or “Master Skywalker”

    Hey ATF! Another great reaction and review vid. Missed you. I was soo looking forward to this and hearing your thoughts. I like the show so far and I think the big mystery will be what really happened the night of the fire. As for Trinity, I'm sure she will be back in flashbacks and we will get more of her story. I am excited to see how this plays out. See ya in the next vid. 🙂

    I'm running into this a lot - it's a show, not a movie. You _will not_ get all the answers by the end of the first episode. And why is everyone freaking out over the death of Indara (Carrie Ann Moss)? This is _nowhere_ near the first creative project where a popular actor is brought in to play a very small but pivotal part, usually involving the death of the character. What is it about this particular actor that is making everyone lose their minds over her quick death (not that you're overboard ATF, but it's incredibly prevalent amongst reactors)?

    Yord seems cool just as Sol 🙂 Waiting for more Jecki's screen time & that Zyggarian Jedi who came to Neomoidian ship with Jord. He's in a good shape so he's a Jedi who wins everyone at morning jogging race around the Jedi Temple. I'll restream first two episodes through this evening to sunday evening 🙂 So far what i've seen The Acolyte via Disney+ i give 6.5 & 7.5 (almost eight) to first both episodes 🙂 Once S01 is over i'll gather thoughts & write S01 review to those websites including blog post. Enjoy streaming The Acolyte via D+ & share el bueno word 🙂
    I hope that Kelnacca survives through S01E03 🤞 Darn Mirialan boss for not understanding to keep meeting through HoloTech while Sol, Jord & Jecki travel to meet Kelnacca 😒 Enjoy S01 via D+ & share el good word. [Fan of PT, OT & 10% of ST. I like the Acolyte so far & some other SW Telly shows. Forever D+ Subber who streams content only at evenings] 🙂

    Both the scene in this episode and the scene in "The Jedi Who Knew Too Much" were paying homage to a classic scene from 1994 movie "The Fugitive" starring Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones.

    Hey, Jazmin! Lots of controversy surrounding this show!
    The first two episodes were engaging enough to dispel initial concerns but the hammer is supposed to fall hard in episode 3 reportedly.
    Lee Jung-jae was the highlight providing a compelling performance as a Qui-Gon type.
    I love Dafne Keen ever since she played X-23 in "Logan" and I like her Theelin make-up.
    The Mirialan Jedi Master played by Rebecca Henderson is from the High Republic comics.
    The Jedi starfighters and uniforms are also from the High Republic comics.
    Amandla Stenberg did a fine job as the twins.
    Charlie Barnett, who is now infamous for his cringe-inducing Anakin gaffe during the junket, does a great job playing arrogant ineptitude.
    Nice to see Carrie-Anne Moss but it was just a glorified cameo unless there will be flashbacks later.
    I liked the droid pilot-to-chair conversion, the cyborg and the alien with the scalp-tongue!
    What's most interesting is that Headland was inspired by Kurosawa's "Rashomon" so we may be getting multiple versions of that fire from different POVs.
    What's deeply concerning aside from Headland's expressed intent to demonize the Jedi is the major continuity problem of having a Sith show up a century before "Phantom Menace" when it's clearly stated they haven't been encountered for over a millennia. How will this show reconcile this huge discrepancy? At this time, the two Sith were the Bith Master Darth Tenebrous and his Muun apprentice Darth Plagueis. They were in hiding and surely would have silenced these Dark Side Force-users before the Jedi were even aware of them to maintain the secrecy of their existence.
    Headland's long association with Harvey Weinstein also makes her socio-cultural stance very hypocritical much like her direction of Yord's gratuitous shirtless scene to provide eye candy for the ladies is a hypocritical objectification of men from an avowed proponent of female empowerment.
    Neimoidians were still in charge of the Trade Federation even a century before the Prequel Trilogy!
    Carlac is the world from "Clone Wars" where Ahsoka met Bo-Katan, got her first kiss from Lux Bonteri and decapitated four Mandalorians!
    The protest of innocence at a precipice by Osha is an homage to the Ahsoka scene from "Clone Wars" which, in turn, was a tribute to Andrew Davis' "The Fugitive" with Harrison Ford.
    Osha's work colleague spent the night at Nar Shaddaa, the moon of the Hutt homeworld, Nal Hutta, known as a seedy playground of casinos, arenas, bazaars and brothels.
    The fire Osha put out was flaming in total vacuum which made absolutely no sense! There was no oxygen venting from within the ship. It was an electrical fire!
    Will you be reacting to the trailers for "Alien: Romulus" and "Deadpool & Wolverine"?

      Force Awakens has people on Takodana, a Mid Rim world, watch in real time as Hosnian Prime, a Core world thousands of light years away, is destroyed by a blast coming from the Unknown Regions, again, thousands, if not millions, of light years away. You have creatures like the purgill or the asteroid worm in Empire living in deep space. Star Wars is epic fantasy in a space opera suit, not science fiction.

    @kirkdarling4120 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Given the healing power of the Force, plus the advanced Star Wars technology, I'm not believing that a poke from a little knife (even to the heart) should be fatal. And that was a dumb death...the assassin's attack on the bartender was clearly a distraction, and the master spent entirely too much time holding that knife in suspension instead of just knocking it down and returning to the fight. Heck, light saber stabs through the gut aren't fatal anymore in Disney Star Wars. I think Carrie-Ann Moss will be back in flashbacks, though.
    Osha was more than "rusty." If she'd been capable enough to be a padawan, she certainly should have been able to pull a small object a couple of feet toward her.
    I think Osha's and Mae's "hair" isn't really hair, but a kind of lekku...both sisters have the same scalp appendages, and they had them as children.

    I think the story-line and everything else is completely trash. To start off, main character extinguishes a fire outside the spaceship with a mini extinguisher... in the vacuum of space! WHat? A teenager assassin managed to kill an aged Master Jedi quite easily... what? Another Jedi commits suicide... the hell? This is just crazy. Other characters are unlikeable except for Sol and sadly, the early demise of Carrie Moss character.

    • @missesmandarin9990
      @missesmandarin9990 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      The Jedi committing suicide makes sense because it seems the Jedi are hiding a grievous sin regarding the twins, the teenager assassin killing the trained Jedi, depends on her ability to weild the force and who her Master is, perhaps as a twin she had special ability, the fire in space is dumb but also are ships crashes in space, The one crazy thing I noticed was putting a criminal alleged for killing a Jedi on a spaceship prison with droids, and Carrie Ann Moss getting a role in this show only to go out so quickly

    • @kirkdarling4120
      @kirkdarling4120 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@gabrielrangel956 There can be fire in space, but it would look globular, smoke wouldn't "rise," and you wouldn't use a fire extinguisher to put it out. That's all 7th grade science. It clearly looks wrong, whereas the lack of sound in space "sounds" wrong.

      @@missesmandarin9990 The master Jedi was killed because she took her eyes off her enemy for so long it turned into a stupid mistake. They could have invented a new Force trick for the assassin instead of an obvious diversion tactic. And given the healing power of the Force, plus the advanced Star Wars technology, I'm not believing that a poke from a little knife (even to the heart) should be fatal. Heck, lightsaber stabs through the gut aren't fatal anymore in Disney Star Wars.
