Antoine is bulkier than Hansen and it's an advantage. Antoine crouches down and catches his opponent under his center of gravity. That's the reason why he succeeded to prevent the try. Anyway, it's an awesome tackle.

I like Ramos but he was disastrous today, very very poor kicking in the game, no defenders beaten, responsible for 2 Irish tries. With Jaminet at Fullback France would have been in less trouble.. Ireland deserve the win no matter what, better team today !
Ramos I thought was poor. Kicked his penalties well but was miles behind the Irish full back Keenan

I think Penaud, Flament, Jaminet and Jalibert should have their share, they complete this amazing team and all the other players too but those 4 are underrated

I'm not massively into rugby, but got recommended this video. Aside from Dupont's brilliance, I have to say that I'm bowled over by the level of open and heartfelt respect being shown here towards him, especially from Irish fans who are appreciatively clapping their opponent's skill. Really classy, and says a lot about the quality of some of the people watching this sport. Respect.

No right? Apart from him having tracked back 50 metres and training hard every day of his life to build the strength and technique to allow him to make a tackle such as this? Apart from all that, yeah, he had no right. lol
@@stroketheboat It's a figure of speech. He had no right in that any other day that is a try, in any other scenario with anyone else making the tackle. Saying he had no right in itself is a compliment to how good he is as a player.

What a tackle that was. This match was a fantastic one, and even if I am sad we lost, massive props to the Irish team, they were absolutely incredible, a pure joy to watch, and a well deserved victory. Congrats!!

Size doesnt matter when your mental is stronger. Btw, Dupont is one of the hardest international player to tackle.

As a Welsh scrum half, he is my role model for playing. I wish I could be half as good as DuPont.
It's what he doesn't do that seems most striking about this tackle. I think most players instinct would be finding a way to somehow bundle Hanson into touch. Which wouldn't have worked given distance to the touchline and the size difference between the two players. Instead Dupont picks an option more akin to wrestling, leveraging his bodyweight at the right angle to hold the player up whilst the cavalry arrives. Split second thinking and instinct. Amazing.

Je pensais initialement que l'Irlande avait vraiment dominé la France ... Après avoir revu le match j'ai constaté que sa n'avais pas du tout était le cas mais j'ai plutôt trouvé un combat équilibré entre deux grosses équipes comme l'année dernière à Paris finalement... En revanche, mon dieu, l'arbitrage à casser systématiquement tout nos temps forts. Je n'avais pas mesuré à quel point lors du premier visionnage 😮💨 . Conclusion, je pense que c'est une victoire en trompe l'oeil pour les irlandais. À charge de revanche 🔥

@@draaz7171 je doute même de l’arbitrage surtout 1er mi temps , et alors à la vidéo c'était flagrant , l'arbitre vidéo a tout fait pour nous faire croire qu'il s'intéressait à la main de low alors qu'on voyait qu'il y avait un problème avec le pied juste derrière le poteau , et puis franchement entre dupont penaud et dumortier , ils ont eu un manque de réussite, le match aurait pu basculer comme une pièce de monnaie !

C'était un match entre les deux premières nations du rugby. Match d'une folle intensité physique, deux équipes très proches, à mon avis les irlandais ont été meilleurs dans la conservation du ballon, ils ont été usants. Franchement, les français n'ont pas été ridicules, on peut les battre si on trouve la solution pour les contester dans les rucks...sans se mettre à la faute. Ce sera la mission de mister Sean lors de la prochain CDM si on doit se les caleter.

I’m not even a Rugby afficionado but that is one of the best sporting plays I’ve ever seen. I’ll add I’ve been looking up DuPont’s weight cos I’m roughly the same height and he came up as 187lbs. I’ve gone through weight fluctuations and there’s no way he’s that. He is at minimum 210lbs.
