Bahahaha. I just got one. I’m watching this after pulling the trigger, but I’m very confident I made the right decision. I loved my FJR, but after a few years, it now just feels like an appliance. I wanted something to make me giggle.

I’ve got the same bike, new, did most kilometres in the Alps (I crossed all Swiss mountain passes within this year with the KTM), including a drive to the Mediterranean sea and back. Now it has 10‘000km and just got new Mitas tires. Definitely the best bike I ever had an opportunity to drive. Probably only the Ducati Multistrada V4 can compete, but I think the KTM is more comfortable and more relaxing to drive thanks to low rev torque. Highlights for me are in this order: Suspension, AdaptiveCC, Engine, power, stability, ergonomics, Display. Greetings from Switzerland

Trying to decide between this and a gsa. Currently own the 2105 SA. Love it. Might have to just get a new SA. Been going back and forth between the S or R. So much time on the road might have to just get the S even tho the R would be so good on dirt. Just don't spend enough time on dirt on my rides. 80 percent road 20 dirt.
No way am i slagging anyone's bike off.. but as a previous KTM owner, I wouldn't touch another one with the proverbial barge pole, that's not to say that I don't like them because I do, what I don't like is when they go wrong, yes when, the customer service and dealer network is awful. Bhp is great, you will never use it, it's all about the torque. I did what I said I never would, and yes, I brought a GSA, to say its a GS killer is simply just silly, it's not and never will be, very different bikes.
I bought one this week and have to wait 3 weeks for it to be delivered.. Going to be a long 3 weeks! I couldn't belive how balanced it is through traffic. That engine 😍
Great video and thanks for being so passionate about the joy and amazement of this bike. Ive had mine for over a year, do short trips and Euro tours and you're right, it never stops amazing me and puts a great smile on my face everytime, after every ride. Looking forward to your next vid.
Ahh men you just nailed it. I tested one last year and although I don't like the looks, I never had so much fun on a motorcycle. I'm still doubting because I love my current Kawasaki zzr1400. But the KTM is just mind blowing

You could do with trying to get the camera a bit brighter it was very dark and a job to see much I know nothing about filming but just saying ride safe take care mate 👍💪ps same bike as mine I’ve got 72 plate they are brilliant
Must agree with you. I took one the other week and thought it was a beast of a bike. Loved the power and torque, I personally dont give 2 fooks about looks, its about the ride and for me and what it can carry. I also think that this is a big contender agains the S1000XR - GS and mutistrada. And new its cheaper than all the mentioned. Great video Fasty-Rides
@@t3h8ar0n I agree with you. I was also looking at a 2021 XR for £16500 at my local dealership And then a friend said to have a look at the KTM super adventure. I was also flirting with the idea of the GT too. But apparently the panniers are a lot smaller than the SAS. Fasty
OK, I am glad you love this bike it's just not my thing for me the KTM looks (yer that headlight doesn't do it for me) are not my thing also the running cost of this bike must be high along with the servicing. Yer the price is high at £16,600 for a new one. Now the other question I wonder myself do you really need 160bhp on normal UK roads? But as with everyone if we all liked the same thing would be a boring world but I am happy that you love it. Enjoy it Jester be interested in how much it costs to fill up to the top? Like you said it is a marmite bike :)
Don't knock it until you've tried it. I personally never try bikes I have no sufficient funds for. I think it's one bike that can do it all. Fast as a super naked but with wind protection and baggage space with better fuel economy.

One problem with nearly ALL of you TH-camrs reviewing these bikes - you are FAILING to state which year this model is! For those of us uninitiated and not familiar with the bike - you really couldn't mention the year in the content or the description? That's a fail to me.

I took one for a test ride and thought it was as rough as a bag of spanners. Lots of vibration. The ride was that rough I thought that the tyres had gone flat. The ride is quite low even on the high seat setting, lower even than my 5 year old 1090. Very disappointed.

Would you say this KTM is a BMW GS for younger people? Apparently it's more raucous/thrilling/wild than a GS.

Running costs are actually one of the things that make me want to keep my 2017 Super Adventure. I get over 52mpg on a run. Unheard of . . .
