We love these Lifesize Sweet Sue Dolls. Ours are mint with their boxes and they all have the same body construction as yours. Very well made dolls from 1955.

I had the 3 ft all pink walking Ballerina doll from 1964.. I don't remember her name.. I thought for sure you would have her.. I haven't seen her in collections.. yet the TV ads during that Christmas shopping season were constant.. $15 was considered expensive then. She had light pink everything: hair, ballerina dress, tights, and shoes. I believe she was a Mattel doll. Thank you for sharing your collection from that era...means a lot to me!💗💗💗 p..s. Sweet Sue is my fave.
Oh, I have the Sweet Sue Playpal size, too She’s so pretty, isn’t she? Her body is a little more mature than Patty, and I have her dressed as a child. It takes a couple layers to fill her out and she looks super cute. Her knees and elbows are jointed, too. I bought her from a woman who said that she belonged to her mother (why wouldn’t she want to save her mom’s dolls😢?) Anyhow, her mom’s name was Rosemary and I named my doll Rosemary. Her hair is still fabulous and her face colour is lovely. Every hair plug is present.
I love the Playpals! I love the BIG dolls, I have a few. You have such a nice Big Doll Collection! I got my Patty Playpal when we were the same size for Christmas. Mine is a MESS now, but I will be continuing to work on her. My mom saved my own coat that fit Patty.....and I still have it. I also have some of my kids clothing (Ts and jeans) that were my kids, my oldest son is 43. I had not seen the Ashton Drake dolls. Thanks for sharing. Fun Video.

How fun. I learned so much. I wanted a large doll I could share clothes with, I was rather small for my age, my mom said no period that included to my dad and grandpa. So grandpa got me a Chatty Cathy when they first came out.

Hi Patty and Ashley (and Rachel) I'll be watching this video in full tonight but I had a quick question. What sort of material is Patti Playpal made of? I've heard the entire body is made of vinyl (including head and limbs) but I've seen some on eBay with the torso cracked which made me wonder if it was plastic. I try to only collect "soft plastic" and vinyl dolls, but I don't understand materials very well, it's possible I'm always referring to vinyl. I avoid those vintage dolls where the body is hard lightweight plastic and you can see the seam --do you know what I mean? Those that if you managed to push it, it would leave a dent. I'm considering asking for a Patti Playpal for my birthday or Christmas but it'd be quite an investment and I want to make sure I have no regrets. Love the channel, btw!

They were all so precious it's hard to pick out my favorites. I think I liked Patti, Peter and the Tabitha doll the best. Where do you display these life size dolls in your house is what I'm curious about?
They're well placed around the doll case and shelving. You can kind of see it in one of Rachel's videos from her last convention that I'm in or one of my mom's collection videos.

She has lost her hands, probably in a flood, sadly. I know it's not uncommon. She's the 2nd one I've had. How would I make or get hands from? It's not important to me as not all humans have all their limbs, sadly. It's so nice to see your video.
