@@Vinnyhassal She was sharing a personal experience she had with Ilaya Raja and it literally shook her . That's why, after many years, it is still in her mind. Stress induced by such shocks lasts forever and sometimes need medical treatment to come out of it. It badly affect the mental health of the receiving person. Just because Ilayaraja is a great musician , he is no exception. And we should stop connecting the artist and the person without knowing anything about his personal life. We adore Raja , the musician. Not the person. At least, I am like that. The reason behind is that I don't know him as a person. Even now, I like his music. That is not going to change.

CHEAP of Minmini. BLATANT smear campaign. Minmini was INTRODUCED in TAMIL by MAESTRO ILAYARAJA via Lovvunnaa lovvu song (superhit song - 1991 movie Meera). It was IR who re-christened her Minmini (Mini). IR gave her 40+ SONGS in her short-lived career (probably the most given to her by a SINGLE COMPOSER). She sung for IR until 1995. Whereas, she sang only ~10 songs for Arr! In ALL of her PREVIOUS INTERVIEWS, she said she lost her voice even when Arr called her to record Pachakkili song, she refused but recorded it anyway because Arr "fixed" her voice digitally after recording. She sang BETTER SONGS in IR music; e.g. Amman kovil kumbam, MaNamagale, Adi poonguyile, Kuththaala kuyile etc. Even in her "popular" Roja song, she was originally just a track singer, after which they thought of leaving it as is; meaning she was NOT the chosen / favorite singer for that song! Here, she is merely accusing IR as if she is paid by someone to criticize IR in an UNFAIR way. Besides, she is NOT a singer of the caliber of S. Janaki, Chitra or Swarnalatha. And it is the composer's choice to pick an apt singer (based on various factors). There were umpteen music directors in Tamil and Malayalam in the 90s. Were they all SLEEPING?! Why did not they use her voice?! WHY all the stones are pelt at IR? 375+ singers have sung for IR till date. NOBODY whined except this singer with ulterior motive of slandering IR. Let her understand her voice is feeble, and that she is NOT a S. Janaki (whom IR gave 1200+ songs, rightly!). Not expecting her to be grateful, or shower praises on IR, but at least, let her stop cribbing, and too ONLY about IR! But then, they say, ONLY THE RIPE-FRUIT BEARING TREE GETS ALL THE STONES! Also, SHAJI does it again, always bearing his grudge against IR.

I may be wrong but it sounds like false voice ..
She lost her voice in 1993. And regained in 1997. However the voice has some issues. You can hear her sattena ninaidath nenjam song from kannathil muthamittal movie. Which she sang in 2001 with difficulty. She sang many malayalam songs recently with this voice and we accepted her voice. Because she was considered next to chitra once in malayalam industry.If you want to hear her original voice, her songs anbe va anbe va in ezhai jathi, and other songs in 1991-1993. And her live performance with malasyis Vasudevan and SPB is also available in net.
