Came from a family where half worked at the plant or in the mines fueling it. It was the greatest place ever to grow up and likely still. Got my first work experiences as a scientist helping to clean up the site and now I'm helping fight the pandemic at a new type of plant sadly so far away. I dream I'll retire home someday. Thank you so much for posting this.

I’m from the pier and working on a rail project in Edmonton and seeing a co line with rail with Sydney steel stamped on it.

Watched all 3 parts. This will be a classic. Well done. What a legacy for our children and grandchildren. Thank-you!

My father worked there for decades, I used to wait for him at gate #5 when I was a little child. I would fall asleep listening to the trains shunting and the blast furnace blasting, and all the other sounds that the steel plant made.
Sydney doesn't look like my childhood home without the steel plant.
