I heard they are planning to build one of HSR station there which could be a game changer. I can imagine someone living in Forest city commuting to work in KL
A second RTS link from Singapore to Forest City, then an LRT line linking Forest City to Bukit Chagar RTS station. Country Garden has to build the RTS Forest City station to support its city and forming big ring of LRT Singapore-Johor line. Put in convention centre e.g. Mitec KL, then only you’ll see more condos start to bloom like mushroom.
@@cac1504But i’m sure they can provide value by building adjacent to Forest City. It overall has an impact on their economy be it Private or Government.
Is a very ambitious project, certainly they have done a very comprehensive study on the potential of the project before investing such huge sum of 100billions.Like expecting to have big demands from Spore,China & regionally.Whatever it is Forest city have actually dump in a lot of money on the infrastructures and also many blocks built and quite many sold.I guess forest city didnt see the economic downturn, also the new government then didnt support the idea particularly China chinese owning the property and offer with special visas to stay for a longer period.Beside the MCO caused further deterioration of the project. But personally i see in 3-5 years it will pick up fast.As a Malaysian living in KL i hope this project will flourish & bring prosperity to Johoreans.
They need to rethink what Forest City is supposed to be and not just rebrand. The Johor Gov should offer MNCs incentives to relocate businesses from central JB to nearby forest city so that workers can seek rents or even acquire property. Additionally build MRTs connecting to Singapore. That will drive demand and economic activity. Don’t be stingy to businesses !
I have openly condemned Forest City when it was launched in 2016. Mostly in Yahoo forum . Which unfortunately is now defunct. The fatal errors in the concept, design, execution were too obvious. To any one in construction or real estate industry. It is just plain horrible. How could the advisers /consultants to Johor Sultan have not known? They advised him badly. He relied on their expertise and they failed him. This project is doomed from Day One.
Hello! I just learned about this development this morning. It's absolutely fascinating to me as an American to see what China is doing with its neighbors. What is the entry-level cost for one of theses units? Can Americans even own a property in this development? Many thanks and I wish you the best!
no mention of mahathir's U-turn banning mainland chinese buying...it's politics that made the living into GHOST ... johor sultan could NOT break mahathir abuse of his power 2 kill the project....toxic properties in china going 4 93% discount n buy one get one free will ...no takers... country garden now bankrupt
if they give me permanent residency for buying a ghost town apt, then count me in! what's the average price of penthouse? I love living in isolation...
That was a bad idea to cover video itself with boring text box. What for? We came here to watch the video. Not to read the text. Next time do better with it. 😊🫰

That will definitely help a lot. But commuting ticket from KL to Forest City has be very attractive too. If it's too expensive, it won't help much
@@chestercheng.realestateyou think price of HSR ticket is like MRT ticket price?

That would greatly help. They have to think outside the box but at the moment Country Garden are financially tight to do anything
It is a private project, the federal government should not get involved.

At the moment, I have no clue what's the selling price of the properties there as my coverage area are in mostly Selangor and Kuala Lumpur
Johor Royalty is the biggest owner of the project - now Johor Sultan is Malaysian King. So the focus is now in this project.

why put text box so big, cannot see video
Apologies for my style of approach. But the text are news cutting articles I'm reading out loud
It only take a ferry station that can transport vehicles & people between Singapore to Forest city will turn back to glory.
I do agree, this might be one of the method to increase traffic
Connect to Sg either by bridge or ferries, then see it back to life.
That's one way to boost the traffic

Project by payung kuning
First of all, they should rename as part of the rebranding. “Forest City” is just a terrible name. Who came up with that? Where’s the forest?
Honestly I don't know. Maybe because the trees in the building?
Good video
Glad you enjoyed
China has the responsibility to upgrade and house her billions population 😊 JB Forest City has become Forest Kampung
I sincerely hope this project can be revived, for the sake of Malaysian
@chestercheng.realestate will you dump your hard earned monies there to support that JB project

You can check the MM2H program by local Malaysian government. As for the subsale price, many owners are selling way below the initial purchased price
Actually not a bad idea. It’s like living in low dense condo. Huge deposit though, USD1.05 million for platinum category qualify to apply for PR.
Build a travellator across the straits & peddle it as low cost housing to singaporeans...
Its become a city forests
There are many programs this year by the state and federal government of lately to boost traffic to forest city this year
Maybe could move the Russians/ukrainians there temporarily on lease while they work on immigrating to australia or North America
The government have to consider if this is viable. But I highly Malaysian government will want to import so any foreigners in for that purpose
