Sweet setup man. Big box pc covers besides how much room it takes up. Always looked like the best covers imo. You actually have the perfect voice for narration aswell.
Very cool, today's children will never know what that golden age of consoles was, born in 1989 and I got my first video game in 1995, a mega drive 2, oddly enough I still have it today, of course it no longer works, but I keep it with care, because it was part of the best years of my life, good times that will never come back.
I bought a 3DO last week and couldn’t find any good games at my local game stores so I ordered my 1st 2 games Need for Speed came in the mail today the other I ordered was Return Fire.
It's funny the different paths collectors take. We have close to the same stuff, except OG Xbox is my largest set. The library is so good, highly recommend looking into it more. Also, don't sleep on Wii, no one talks about it, but you have lots of opportunity there to beef that up before it gets the spotlight from the community
I appreciate someone who has a decent 3DO set. I have a fairly decent amount of those, as it was such a revolutionary console in 1993 or so, but no one talks about it!
@RetroWolf88 Me too. My Uncle had one in '94 when I had my SNES. I was 11 at the time; we played Way of the Warrior and Road Rash constantly. The thing that hurt it was the price. I'm glad I got a $120 used console with a box and like 100 games for it.
I love the setup for the work pc. Personally, I'm more a 3 across person, maybe a 4th monitor to turn on when you want to show stuff off (rn it's my tv overahead, but eventually that'll move to the left side of the room, so I'll probably run an HDMI connection through the wall. It'll be real cool cause you can get HDMI plates for the wall, allowing you to have an HDMI plug in the wall going from one place to another. And that'll allow me to also play PC games on the tv, running it through the Astro A50 x station. Eventually, I would like to build a console style PC for gaming on the TV, but having it setup so I have a big tv for sharing editing work and the like through the tv would be very helpful, so it's still worth it to have the hdmi port in the wall (especially cause it crosses a door, and just running it under the carpet isn't proper) But all this aside, I dig the old monitor for older stuff. Currently got an old CRT tv with VHS setup in my dorm as a third monitor I use to watch tv. It's cool cause I got my desk on the right side of the room, with the bed to the immediate left, and at the foot of the bed is the tv hooked into HDMI via an HDMI to rca converter. Honestly, I might just keep this setup when I go home to watch CN Classic twitch stream, rather than on my big tv. I mean, on one hand, the big tv is nice, but it's also up high, and laying down on my side to see the tv would be nice.
Do you play emulated games on the crt? That's pretty cool. My plan, when i get the space, is to have a custok built corner desk. I have a server rig (that eventually i want to use for editing, but I'm waiting until i get an extra ssd and drop my current gaming 2080 into it since a m4000 is just too slow at rendering by comparison) and my main pc, so i will have the triple monitor setup in the current spot in a 6ftx2.5 ft desk. Then, off that will be an 8ft by 2.5ft desk that will have the editing station with its own triple setup. Gives me plenty of desk space with all the monitors. I might also build a small side stand off to the left to put my 9inch crt. It's good for testing editing in 4:3, as well as some emulating, or just a small screen to watch old TV on. @RNGGamerYT
Great vid! I sold most of my old collection years ago (kept the one's from my childhood and my GameCube and Wii games), but recently started to stock up on 360 games just to have physical media and there's so many great games on there I never played. I'm actually playing Diablo 3 for the first time and having a blast as it's my first Diablo experience.
