The fact that he took all the WiiU games off the shelves, stacked them carefully, recorded for 1 second, then had to put them all back in their places, really shows what these videos mean to him
This is why scott is a great content creator
the power of the funny is a strong one.
This is why it got delayed
And the fact he spread Peanut Butter on a disc. Did he clean it afterward? Do you know how hard it is to wash away peanut butter??
@@bluebrickmax i think he threw away MW games are dirt cheap except the new one
Very sorry on this episode's delay, with this being 26 minutes I felt there was no feasible way to finish it with enough quality by Sunday, and overall computer problems delayed it even further to a Wednesday release. Sunday is still the normal schedule and we should be back on track this weekend, thank you very very very much for watching!
All good, Scott ^^
It's good you polished it!

It's ok guy
Hi Scott :3
12:54 As someone who made the mistake of telling someone I care about Nintendo, I can confirm, high school Scott’s fears were 100% justified
As someone who also made this mistake and on some level is still traumatized from it, I agree.
Me but Middle School
As someone with autism once I start I can't stop and I'll talk about mario kart double dash for 6 hours
It seems this was a common issue lol
Jokes on you guys, my Middle School years just so happened to start the same year the Nintendo Switch came out and they were actually excited, so everyone in my turf actually gave a sh$t^^
This is honestly one of my favorite episodes from the entire show- Dont get me wrong, I think all of these episodes are amazing but this one just feels more "genuine" if that makes any sense
I constantly quote “Where the fuck is Gubble?”
It feels genuine due to the fact that he finally doesn’t ridicule my interests, I thought I’d open up this video to see him bashing what is basically my only personality trait. Relieved to see that he has the same mentality in owning hard copies and not just emulating everything
this and game room are my favorites.
@@HaloTropicalI think my favorite is third party controllers but the ones you mentioned are goated

as a DVD collector, i miss finding movies i really want at the thrift store. i have so many god damn movies so i rarely find something i actually want. i used to leave the thrift store with bundles of DVDs in my hands but now i’m lucky if i leave with one. but i’m happy that i have all of them because it’s so fun to make my friends choose out of my collection when they come over.
Yeah, with digital becoming the norm, physical copies (which were already a finite resource to begin with) become even harder to find!

I love how almost every episode has one of the early jokes make an unforeseen comeback at the end, it's probably one of my favorite aspects of Scott's comedic style.
He is a master of the brick joke.
He nails it every time.
my favorite was "If I don't do something about this mild congestion, I'm gonna die in 60-70 years!"

I collected video games throughout high school and sold everything when I went to college. I sold in lots by system - for example, my SNES collection went to a fellow collector. I had given some good stuff to scalpers which made me feel bad. But there was one guy who came to me after work in a business suit trying to relive childhood memories with my NES collection. I cut the price and threw in some random stuff I had (little Nintendo collectibles i found throughout the years). He told me his wife was gonna be so pissed, but the smile on his face showed how much he really cared about these gems. That one dude made my entire experience as a collector worth it.
WHY DID YOU SELL THEM?!?! ( I am not angry just sad )

When people ask me how to save money when collecting, I always point out the fact that alot of my retro collection was from my dad. A game collection wouldn't be a game collection without 3 copies of Pacman on Atari 2600.
Plus if you collect the big games for the previous generation you can save big in the long run.
This is accurate. While I didn't have a lot of luck with my family, since I'm pretty much the only remotely tech-literate one, you can ask around to family and family friends about whether or not they have any old games, game systems, or whatever else cluttering up their storage. A lot of the time, they'll be happy to have someone get rid of it for them.
While I didn't have a ton of luck, my uncle had a huge CRT in his garage that he didn't use anymore, this being after people finished throwing them out and their prices started to rise while availability dropped, and he let me have it for free. I already had (and still have) one of those small CRTs with a built in VCR, mono sound, and the composite sockets on the front, but the bigger one is better for multiplayer games, particularly split-screen ones.
Most non-collectors just see this stuff as junk, so offering to take it off their hands, drop them a few bucks, or trade for something simple like lunch or some drinks, can often be enough for both you and them to walk away from the exchange happy.
@@Sin_Alder I always see people throwing away CRT TVs. Quite often, the back is broken by copper recyclers.
I have seen a few 40 or 50 inch projection TVs.
I have a couple of small TVs, 1 large TV.
Of course, I have also seen many large LCD TVs being thrown out, probably bc they are broken.
Don't have 3 copies of Pac Man, but I do have 3 copies of The Legend of Zelda and 2 of Super Mario Bros/Duckhunt.
dw bro i have 3 copies of ET for atari 2600 (i do not own an atari 2600)

Ya, game collecting is only expensive if you going after the huge titles that everyone wants. I sold off my gamecube & gameboy advance collection to buy newer games for my Xbox one X that are dirt cheap + picked up some games for my 3ds & switch. @@GreyWolfLeaderTW Nintendo anything "Its old so it's rare." God collectors can be garbage when it comes to outlandish pricing
You could sort from cheapest, but that runs the risk of the games being in terrible condition, or just flat out not working
This is your best video in my opinion Scott and my personal favorite that helped me start collecting.
It’s a tradition to re-watch this every week or every day. Love ur vids Scott!
The fact that he was able to show the hair dryer box indicates his final decision.
Here’s a tip:
Go to weird sales, not stuff like garage sales or estate sales. I bought all the sonic genesis games for like a dollar, and a stereo setup that sounds great for $7.25 at a church sale run by a bunch of old ladies
I've found a lot of great deals at churches and other non-profits. One time I found a gameboy advance for $1 at a church yard sale. That was a few years ago when they were worth a little more than what they are today.
Thrift stores are great too, found a bunch of PS3 games for 2 dollars a pop
Years ago I used to live in a small village and every Sunday the town hall would put on a community-run cafe. The church next door had a sale going on one time, I found Pokemon Blue, R-Type DX and Chase HQ for £2.50. While these are pretty modest finds I still find it crazy that some church in the middle of nowhere had anything like that.
What do you mean by weird sales?
@@windexman2280 unorthodox, unsuspecting places etc. not where you'd expect to find things for sale/find tech-related things for sale
every time i watch his videos it just brings a nostalgic joy to my face keep it up scott!
Thank you for giving me something funny and entertaining to watch to get my mind off things... You're awesome, man.

As someone who started accepting that i'm a game collector during the beginning of the pandemic, this is my favorite video on youtube.
Fun fact: I have the Oblivion + Bioshock dual release by accident. I lost my copy of TES Oblivion and ordered a new one off Amazon. The seller was apparently out of stock, but they pulled through and sent me the Oblivion + Bioshock edition instead. So I got Bioshock for free! Pretty sweet deal. I also had no idea the Oblivion + Bioshock release existed, I'd never seen it listed anywhere.
Thats kinda odd to see but sweet!!!

The rarest of the games video
This video is incredibly insightful. Last July, I decided I really wanted to start collecting for fun, but I knew that I wanted something interesting and new for me. While I enjoy NES and SNES games, there are a thousand ways to play the good ones on modern systems, so those didn’t catch my attention. That’s why I wanted a GameCube. The GC/PS2/Xbox generation was mysteriously odd and a lot of the games were lost to their original libraries, so I bought a Spice Orange GameCube. While it’s not the most iconic Nintendo system, it is a special system and I’m getting really far in my desired collection. Even though my grandma thinks I’m a hoarder, I’m not discouraged because I enjoy the unique feeling of opening a cardboard USPS box with a piece of entertainment history in it and playing it for the first time in my life. I enjoy that feeling every single time. You inspired me to collect the way I wanted to. You inspired me to be broke for fun. Thank you so much Scott.
its funny you brought up the deals at garage sales lol. i went to a lady's home who was having a yard sale and she had a bin of her now divorced husbands electronics ect... asked her how much things were in this bin and she said 5 bucks. ended up getting a original xbox with everything and a laptop that ran windows 8 for 5 bucks each. i was ecstatic lol. when she was selling the entire collection of games she was like a buck a piece. some people just wanna get rid of any memory they had pertaining to items they had sadly and it hurts but for me it made my day. may she be a lot happier now.

I… I put them back in place correctly.

Usually I have a lot of criticisms of collecting to share, but it sounds like you are doing it right. Very healthy perspective. Just buy the ones you want to play, don't bother trying to pad out the collection, and make sure the collections is geared towards what is satisfying to you and not what other collectors would praise.
The way: that you describe retro game collecting remind me so much of my mentality collecting records.
Yo imagine Scott selling everything he has, that’d be a fun day on ebay.
Yeah, I'd take a kidney for $12

Alternate title: Scott wants to subtlety show off his game collection
Hevi kabisa:!!
I feel the sentiment about the “small collection” thing, I collect model trains and vintage computers, I remember the early days of both, the excitement of the couple of trains I had and the excitement of getting new ones, or stumbling across a computer in a flea market or on Craigslist, one I had only ever seen online and finally I had the chance to Get it. I still remember the first old computer I got, a purple iMac G3. Now I have a bunch of iMacs in different flavors and generations, boxed vintage computers, boring windows 98 machines and finding a new cool one doesn’t quite feel as exciting as when my collection started. Except when I found an eMachines eOne at a flea market on my 21st birthday. Literally it’s one of the high, lights of my collection along with my Commodore PET.
This is the video that made me want to start collecting video games. Thank you Scott, for introducing me to a great hobby.
