I wish we got more Spider-man + Cap action. They seemed to have good chemistry during this brief scene.
Endgame they get a little moment of Cap throwing Mjolnir after yelling Queens. He saved spidey and the gauntlet for the time being, I always thought that was a nice addition to their development. And of course we almost got spidey holding the hammer, I would have shit bricks if that happened.

This is my favorite showing of Spider-Man in the MCU. The fight scenes really captured his agility and strength with his carefree attitude. And with that small reference to Uncle Ben and why he was doing the superhero thing. Awesome

I just realized when Cap asks Peter where he's from and Peter replies Queens, it's basically a reflection of when Abraham Erskine asked Steve where is he from actually from the first Captain America film. (Also Dr. Erskine said that he was from Queens in the first CA film, so I'd like to think Steve took a liking to Peter knowing that the man who turned him into the hero he is and Peter, came from the same place.)

Spiderman's entire body language and voice tone when he says that the shield doesn't obey the laws of physics is so satisfying it's like he's going "is this really what I have to deal with?"
I love how Scarlett Witch just tosses Black Widow but hurls Black Panther. She herself was pulling her punches based off who she was fighting. I've always enjoyed that little detail even if it was unintended. You can really tell none of these guys really wanted to fight. Such great directing.
That, and I think that Scarlett knew that Black Panther's suit could handle the impact of being Flung, where Black Widow's suit is basically nothing more than a Latex suit. One made of Latex, and the other of Flexible, suit of Cap's Shield.
Black Widow was basically taken out of the rest of the fight with that one hit.
So, something I noticed on a rewatch of the first Captain America movie. The Science Guy that gave Steve his chance at the army, Abraham. Steve asked him where he was from and he said "Queens." I feel like the smile Cap gives is a call back to that.

People keep saying that Cap could have killed Spidey with the container since he didn’t know how strong Spider was. Guys....he had a decent idea. Cap had already seen that Spidey was at least somewhat stronger than him when Cap had to use the spinning move to overpower him. He had just been slammed by Spider-man and then webbed up and had to spin out of a web tug of war with him because Parker was overpowering him.

I can't believe this is the only scene we're getting between MCU's Spider-man and this Captain America. They had a lot of chemistry, much different from the Spider-man/Iron Man chemistry, but still really cool to see.

the lines in this scene is just too good. rewatching this though makes me realize how truly inexperienced Peter is, and how Cap just treat him like an adult since he doesn't know yet.
Exactly so many people don’t see that in this movie, it did a great job establishing that he’s certainly got amazing talent but is still very inexperienced when it came to taking on other super people. And that’s why it was really obvious to me what his charachter arc would be as we went through the movies. And by Infinity war he’s already gotten much more skilled at using his abilities.

Spidey would have been in for a rude shock with winter soldier who wasn’t holding back. Don’t forget Cap also held back a blow from thanos, which is a notch above what spidey did.

IN MY OPINION this is still toms best performance as spiderman. hes is PERFECT in these scenes.
Spidey restrains Cap and Cap's like oooh okay so you're that strong. He wasn't worried at all when he dropped that container on him.
What I love about Cap most is he fights people who are so much stronger then him and he finds a way to win.Like take Peter for instance He is alot stronger and faster then Cap but dosent know how to fight.Cap never wastes a movement he maneuvers Spiderman under the boxcar and uses his own strength against him.
In Infinity War, Cap and his team (Black Widow and Falcon) is the weakest team but they are the only team to win their fight against the Children of Thanos in direct combat. Cap is a strategical genius.

To be fair, Peter is stronger and a lot more durable than Wanda, and Steve figured that out after less than a minute of fighting with him. Aside from her powers, Wanda is pretty much just a normal human.

If you watch their fight closely and after examining it you can tell that Cap was holding back against Spider-Man along with fighting at half strength and pulling his hits.
Exactly. A ton of people here understimate how powerful Cap really is. This guy held his own against aliens and even Loki! Cap is a master tactician and martial artist...

@@barchetta575m Understand all that but even Spiderman is no joke, he has strength that he could even go one on one with the Hulk, if spiderman wasn't pulling his punches, He would literally kill Captain America, if you see the comics Doc Oc once possesed peter parker's body and he punched scorpion so hard that his Jaw came off literally. Also when he fought Kingpin after he sent a hitman to kill him but instead he almost killed Aunt May but she ended up in a coma and trust me, you don't wanna see peter's dark side when he stopped pulling his punches, he is destroying everyone especially when he found out that kingpin was responsible, he humiliated him like he's nothing and let him even live knowing that he defeated him infront of everybody and in addition he also threatned him that if Aunt may dies, he'll come back to kill him, also in no way home if you all seen the last fight between Green Goblin, Spiderman almost killed him
Tony underestimates Peter's strength and especially his durability. Cap only held back because he didn't know how much the kid could take. He's a much more skilled fighter for sure, especially at this point, but even his full strength isn't enough to do any real damage.
@@azizalshatti2480 Don't use comic comparisons since the moment you cross mediums or even universes, powers change. On that note, raw power doesn't account for much if you don't have the skill to back it up. Peter is a greenhorn here and more or less is fighting a seasoned veteran in peak condition. While he is significantly stronger, he's still built like a teenager and has about the same leverage as one. Cap is taking advantage of his lack of coordination to keep him down. It's the difference with experience. Strength is an advantage if you can use it, but an average trained fighter can and will beat the shit out of an amateur strongman. If the strongman gets fight training, he can easily bridge the gap, but experience goes a long way in a fight.

It’s really interesting that they essentially reversed the relationship between these characters. In the comics, Captain America was Spider-Man’s mentor and Tony stark often teased or even bullied him.
