I like the part where they showed why no one talks about her death.
😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Because her life accomplishment,s supercedes her death.
Bc she died in 89 it’s super old news why would we talking about it 35 years later lol
Uh… it’s because she was so funny! Duh

and yet we're all in the comments, interacting with the video, ensuring they continue to do it. double dumb. hehe
Her humor is/was timeless, anyone can watch her shows today and still find comfort in the laughter of skits. She surrounded herself with great writers and talented actors, this lead to her successful comedy shows. All of us can recall at least one or two of are favorite crazy episodes. Thank you for the wonderful laughs Lucy, you’ve brought sweetness of laughter into our lives.
Never found her funny. I Love Lucy was just unfunny. I coukdnt think if any episode that I even enjoyed.
Her humor was timeless...and her timing was impeccable.
@@ms.annthrope415. I’m sure you’re the life of the party. I didn’t like the later seasons, when they kept traveling, but the first few years…. When she and Ethel played the golf game…lol. Or the episode where she has to tell the truth. The fact that people still talk about a show from 70 years ago….is pretty impressive.
Lucy and Desi are and will forever be icons!!!!
Soooo…why does no one talk about her death???
Cause they needed click bait for the video.. 😂

Right..hahaha..The true definition of visual click bait...hahaha
@@syckles true. It’s so frustrating.
Click bait, and the fact that when she died, we all lost a national treasure, and a friend that could make us all laugh.
She was drop-dead gorgeous.
Yes, and because of that most studios didn't know what to do with her. She was great at slapstick comedy, but she didn't look goofy like other female comedy stars of her day. She could do everything, from sophisticated comedy to heavy drama, she played nasty villainesses, was in several film noir murder/ detective stories, musicals, and even a western. There is nothing our Lucy couldn't do!
💯 pure natural beauty. They don't make women like the women from her generation. Women like her, Ingrid Bergman, Rita Heyworth, and countless others from Hollywood back in its hayday.

ABSOLUTELY!!! I love that picture of her in the photo that compelled me to click on this short 😍. I guess it would be called the thumbnail.
@@derricklowe2823 That photo is from when she was under contract to MGM who's makeup wizards really knew how to play up her beauty and coloring. I think she was at her most lovely then which would have been in the early 1940's.
"If laughter could keep someone alive, Lucille ball would be immortal."

Beautiful Lucy, God Rest Her Soul.❤
Why is this scripted like a horror movie or true crime documentary? Weird af
because when you say her name three times...... oh sh*t! Ahhhhhh!!

She died on Carol Burnetts' birthday. She helped Carol in her career and they became good friends. Every April 26th Carol would receive flowers for her birthday from Lucy. Even though Lucy was in the hospital, she remembered to send Carol her bouquet. When Carol found out about Lucy's death she was devastated. A few days later, a knock came on Carol's door and it was a delivery of flowers to Carol from Lucy wishing her a happy birthday.
I'm sure Carol treasures that birthday that her good friend still thought to send her the last bouquet o birthday f flowers. ❤😇🙏💕💯💐
I remember hearing about this. So touching that she sent Carol flowers even on her deathbed. That’s a true friendship ❤.

Can we all agree that all AI video production should be suspended until they teach it how to pronounce the English language?
What bothers me most is that there are kids right now learning spelling and pronunciation from these clunky programs.

She was also the first pregnant woman to be filmed. During the first season she was pregnant with her first child but they didn't mention it because it was considered vulgar to show a pregnant woman on TV. Second season she was pregnant again and this time they put it in the show but it was never called pregnant, she was called, "expecting". What's more she helped shape the maternity clothes we use today for pregnant woman.
@RogueMustangMare-
Thankyou for your comment on pregnancy and TV. I never knew that!, and never even thought about maternity clothes, which I needed 3 times 😊 I also think she helped women to use make-up on a regular basis, and not just keep it for "special occasions" Women were often gossiped about for

You can't not Love Lucy❤ She kept us laughing for many many years!
My mom met her, after waiting backstage and listening to her scream profanities at everyone. She was an awful person that my mom witnessed, and she was doing a show with another comedienne who was just as bad. My mom actually left right before the chance to meet her just so she could shake her head and say "I don't want to meet her anymore." My mom also met George Harrison who was lovely and kind.
Well I know nothing of Lucy, but, I can say I was George's waitress once, and I had no clue who he was at the time, didnt recognize him at all, and he was just as lovely as can be. Couldn't have been any nicer!
After he left someone pointed out to me who he was, and boy did I feel stupid!
Than your mother didn’t actually meet her
Do you know what she had to go through behind the scenes? Of course not, your mom didnt either lol entertainment in the 50s was not hunky dory and easy like today and if you read her book and even Desi Aranaz’s autobiographies, you would know she wasnt an awful person, the business was awful and she went through alot to get to where she was at…big whoop if she cussed, your mom mustve really not known that she had a potty mouth if she was too “ashamed” to meet Lucille Ball lmao
I met her once in Las Vegas. She was in a break from filming a TV special at the old MGM Grand Hotel Casino. She was friendly and smiling, very nice.

You need to be completely honest, she was a life long heavy smoker. In one of the first interviews her daughter did just after Mom and Dad died she said, strongly through tears 'don't smoke'.
Smoking was in vogue in her generation. There were no surgeon general reports warning people about smoking yet. And, why should you judge a person's character solely by smoking? We are all mortal. Cigarettes or no cigarettes, we all die!
My point is simply that the post is not completely accurate.
If you're going to say something, be as accurate as possible
Not click bate.
(I am old enough to know what was in vogue. )
I live in her hometown. She was NOT from the city of Jamestown. She was from the village of Celeron (next door to Jamestown). In interviews she even said herself she never lived in Jamestown. My husband's grandmother was Lucy's next door neighbor and schoolmate. My grandparents lived down the street from Lucy's favorite aunt. Lucy used to visit her aunt often so my dad got to meet her after she became famous.

Not tryin' to be a dick here, but a TRUE fan would know his name is Desi, not Dezi. I mean, c'mon.
Lucille Balll was intelligent, talented, a shrewd businesswoman and drop-dead gorgeous to boot. She was the complete exceptional package. Her love and marriage with Desi was tumultuous but she never publicly aired their private issues. Class and grace personified, at least in the side she showed the world. She is missed.
I’m proud to say that my mother shared a hometown with Lucy and there is so much history regarding her! She was a gem and will never be forgotten. Her memory is preserved in the national comedy center is Jamestown New York. It’s a blast!
Her ex-husband, Desi Arnaz, was drinking and took a rifle and shot at young trespassers on his property (the private beach area). When the police confronted him, he told them that he'd only been shooting blanks at them to scare them away (they were actually live rounds). Lucy was tipped-off by a friend that Desi's home was going to be raided to find the live ammo, prove him a liar and then arrest him because attempting to murder trespassers on his private beach was still illegal. Desi was too inebriated to help himself, so Lucy dropped by her ex-husband's home ... pretending to just be casually visiting the father of her kids. While she was there, she stashed boxes of blank ammo cartridges in his home. By the time the police raided Desi's house, they found those boxes of blank ammunition cartridges and concluded that Desi had been telling the truth. Lucy, even though she had long been divorced from "Ricky", was a true ride or die!
Cool story !
Lucy died on Carol's birthday too. Kind of bittersweet but quite sad.
The propetty was in Del Mar, California
Why is it the jerks who are loved?
@@GizmoMaltese Better question: why aren't the non-jerks loved more? Even in the Bible we get the tale of the Prodigal Son... the story of a dad who loves his wayward son more than his kid who always follows the rules and so on. Here in Hollywood, we have the Sheens. Martin Sheen clearly likes that perpetual F**k up Charlie Sheen over his straight-laced son Emilio. I suppose the answer to your question is that the rule-breakers are admired for rule-breaking because the ones who admire them secretly wish they'd had the balls to fearlessly take chances like they do.

@@ariel393939 I can refer you to a good eye doctor - you can even get glasses at Walmart these days - I'd never say she's ugly but when are we gonna start just being honest - why all the bs - hasn't it gone too far for far too long
@@me2ontube you are mistaken because not only was she a model and former actress before I love Lucy but she was one of the original famous Ziegfeld Follies Girls .
She was gorgeous and glamorous.
@@annacaiazza8869 no mistake, I heard her say it herself - just because you're a model or showgirl doesn't make you a 10
She made everyone laugh! 🤩
Desi ran the studio. She hated running the business. Desi is the man who came up with idea of earning residuals off reruns. Brilliant....
The spooky voice & music while talking about her comedic antics 😂 “EVERYONE REMEMBERS WHEN SHE STOMPED GRAPES” dundundunnnn
😂
😂😂😂 how terrifying!
Dundundunnnn… “rippp!” Not gonna lie, I laughed so hard at the end!! 🤭😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
So needlessly dramatic and ott
The Italian lady was really fighting her too
RIP Lucille Ball.
My nan loved Lucille Ball, there was her show being run once, and I'd never before or since seen her laugh so hard 😂
Wait a minute. Her husband Desi Arnez is the one who transformed the sitcom. He was a genius and an amazing businessman also. Give him his credit please. He is an icon. Thank you.
She was also the first woman to show her pregnancy, and delivery, also her son on the show was her son in real life. Also, Lucy controlled Ethel and didn't let her be skinnier or prettier than her, although they were roughly the same age. Also in real life off screen, Ethyl hated her TV husband. Also, Lucy despised Desi, as he was constantly cheating, they were divorced nearly the whole time the show was on but they remained frenemies for the sake of their son as well as the business. She ran the show and could be awful to work with but nobody left as the show was making so much money. She was not alone when she died and at the time everyone mourned her loss. In one of the parks in Disney has a whole memorial about her. Maybe this will help everyone feel not click-baited! ❤😊 Sorry I idolized her for physical comedy and try to channel her when I am doing a funny skit while acting. I truly loved Lucy.
All the truckers on the highway had lights on for Lucy when she passed.
Her and Dezi loved each other but he couldn’t stay loyal to her.
FYI: The Boy who played Little Ricky was not her real son at all .. That was a child actor.. Besides Lucy had her daughter before she Desi Jr.
Everything you said. I heard this as well. I was very surprised when my cousins told me that Vivian Vance was actually younger than Lucille Ball. But Lucy kept her "pudgy" looking, so as to not compete. damn. Lucy is still the best tho.
@@jcbulldog533 I stand corrected, thank you for that information. I could have sworn it was him but I was wrong!
I was born in "59. I loved watching "I Love Lucy" when I missed school. My favorite show in the 60's!!!!
I could watch Lucy and laugh like it was the first time and have not been watching her for the last 40 years
Lucy you are and will always be the very best thank you for every Lucy show on TV 💕💕💕💕
