One violin sounds like a whole orchestra! What a player!
If only he'd used a Hardanger fiddle...
Thank you :-)
2cellos after this be like
2cellos:le's make thus video with cello
obviously my knowledge on what can be done on a violin are severely lacking.
You should check out this vid! I'll put a link to it below. He does a cover of Queen's- Don't stop me now on violin!

I bet he could
Hey, I just wanted to take a minute to thank all of you for your comments and support!
Adam DeGraff Your the best violinist my idol regards to you from PHILIPPNES!
Wow .... just wow ....
Playing the multiple guitar parts at the same time blew my mind and the solo just damn that was amazing.
I came here looking for how the solo would sound on a violin and I wasn’t disappointed.
I've loved this for years but with time, I've come to realize that the most impressive part of this is the arrangement. It's truly inspired.
What a lovely compliment. Thank you :-)
*I remember watching this when I was 13 now I'm 20 and still amazes me, so nostalgic!* 🔥
Shout out from Brazil!
Nice memory lol
Oloco! Eu assisti aos 17 e hoje tenho 24 pra 25 anos. Mucho loco.
@@erica_soares to com 23 já hahahah
Now that's what you call a committed performance.
You stayed with it the whole time -- hard to imply all those parts and keep the flow, but you did -- captured the feel of the original and imbued it with you own thing. Pretty rockin'.
UnequalTemperament now THAT is an insightful comment!
UnequalTemperament thank you.
Thank you. I play some cello and electric bass -- and played doublebass when I was younger. I would try to play multiple parts on the big bass in high school, just goofing around. You've only got the one hand fingering, so you can't move the parts around as freely as you would on a piano -- you've got to pick and choose which notes you can "grab", choose the voicing/octave, jump around and try to keep the notes "sustaining" in the ear of the listener... Bach's writing for violin and cello -- even for flute -- exploits and explores the same stuff, as you know. I try to do some of the same stuff on EB and cello now and then -- though I'm nowhere near your level... anyway, I enjoyed and appreciated the performance.
You're 👍😃❤!!!
did you take the golden fiddle away from Johnny yet?
One question....
HOW?
Jack Ripper Practice practice practice
sold his soul
he sold his soul. Isn't it obvious?
Violin is the most thrilling instrument. so just practice until you make it!
With a lot of work and skills. It's the same with Bach's solo pieces for violin, you believe you hear more than one instrument :)
I’ve been playing the violin for ten years and this is one of the most impressive things I’ve seen.
Thank you for your kind words! 💕
Slash would be really proud.
Lol
The real master of violin, pity there was no audience :)
We are.
How did u play both bass and treble part of song u must b musician and magician owed my respect awesome work
I just bought and held a violin for the first time yesterday....I have a lot of work to do.
Joe Blow How much did you accomplish lol
Joe Blow Yeah me too hahaha Ive got like 20 years of practice left
4 years. How's it going?
have been playing the violin for 6 years. Not even close to his class
Need an update!!
This man and this cover is a big reason as to why I started playing the violin. It's been years and I'm still not very good but this cover will always hold a very special place in my heart. I'm not totally sure why but when I was younger whenever things got tough I would listen to this on repeat and then grab my own violin and play my heart out until I felt better and it ALWAYS seemed to help.
That really means a lot to me. Thank you for sharing ❤️
I think the technical term for this arrangement is a “hell yeah”, or possibly a “fuck yeah”.
This inspired me to pick up violin such that I can one day be able to play this song. Been practicing for a year now and I can almost get through the beginning. Still ways to go!
That makes me so happy to hear. It’s a beast of a piece for sure. But keep at it and you get it! Please message me if I can be of any assistance.
How far are you now?
@@cataxcab my original comment was 8 measures into to the song, now about 14 measures in (still verrrrrry rough...). Unfortunately i broke my arm half 2 years ago and i had to stop playing for 6 months
MEU DEUS DO CÉU!!!
ESSA É A MAIOR PERFEIÇÃO QUE JÁ OUVI EM TODA MINHA VIDA!!!! Estou emocionada. Esse homem é simplesmente brilhante, meu Deus!!!
Nunca esqueceria uma obra prima dessa!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
There's something really cool about this being played in an empty hall. Say's something about the under appreciated instruments of old. Awesome. loved it.
i rarely comment on videos...but for this one i gotta say thats hella something!T_T
I wanna hear hotel California like this :x
I want to hear him do The Legend of Zelda original theme!!
+sess oh my god yes. I would LOVE to find a good violin/fiddle cover of Hotel California T^T
saw this performed in Dublin on a fiddle/guitar in the Quay Temple Bar. Was fantastic, searched utube for more and came accross this version. Brilliant
200 % control over that instrument! Amazing man!!!!
90% tops :-)
nah
I tried playing this when the Rocking Fiddle Challenge came out! At that time I had played the violin for just over 10 years and had led orchestras in my high school and played in many bands. After a few weeks practising every night and watching Adam's great tutorial videos, I still could only just about manage the first 16 bars!!
Adam absolutely smashes this, I will never ever reach anywhere near his standard of performance. This is still my favourite ever violin performance!!
Adam was also kind enough spend an hour of his busy time to record his answers to some of my questions about his music and this piece in particular for me to edit into a radio programme I was creating for Uni.
Amazing violinist and a top, top guy!!
Never underestimate the power of a violin.
I just to this down. I bought the transcription a few years ago and had to put it down because my technique wasn't there yet. After a few years of hard work and practice I liked it up again and was able to get all the way through it! I'm gonna play this for my middle school orchestra kids!
Where do you found the notes ? Can you give me the link if possible hope that I will make it too after 10 years of violin playing :-D
+adam nurek www.fastwagon.com/gn7ev9
Thank you absolutely great job keep playing it makes a lot of people happy :-D
I wish I could do this
diabolicallink start practicing!
Good thing god give you 2 hands and a brain
Damn…. It’s been 14 years. Hope this guy’s still doing good
Thanks! Yup, I’m still sawing away on this thing. Just have less hair and less belly. 😏
It never occurred to me until today just how suited the intro to Sweet Child O Mine is to the fiddle. This is truly amazing.
It’s Vivaldi like
It's amazing how this can sound well with just one violin
I feel like less of a person because I can't do anything like this.
I'm 2 years into learning the violin at 32 years old and I googled "Sweet Child of Mine Violin" cuz I like t he riff then I saw this and was like "oh... fuck."
Just barely experienced enough to know how impressive this is. That was absolutely incredible.
That’s kind of you to say. Lmk if I can help you at all. Love helping my adult students set and reach their goals.
I'm about to start learning to play the violin next month. I'm gonna be 90 before I could ever do this. But man.....!!!! Id just hope I can learn to play twinkle twinkle little star. lol. You're awesome!!!
When all you wanted was an electric guitar 🎸 but your parents gave you a violin 🎻 ....Èpic !
That’s hilarious. And sorta true. 🤣
@@adamdegraff haha...thank you!😁 You Rock🤘🏻. Seriously an inspiration 🎻🎸
Ps. Tell us your story🙏🏼
too dank not to be a meme
Holy shit man from one musician to another
A rock ciaconne. Whouda thunk it? Very wonderful. Please keep arranging cools things for solo fiddle like that. You are a fine player indeed.
this is breathtaking!! 😌😌😌😍😍😍😍
☺️
this guy should join 2 cellos... that would be amazing :D
3 cellos
2 Cellos + 1
2 Cellos and a Small Shoulder Cello (best name name ever)
Amazing!
158 people dont play violin :p
Absolutely amazing! You're technique and feel are flawless! Whoever said you can't rock out on the violin was terribly mislead... lol
Thanks Kimberly
+Adam DeGraff Please do this in HD. I dont play an instrument(in high school lol) but i was doing a fiddle violin history surf and it lead to you. I love music. Im breathless as you go from one technique to the next. but it felt like a dream cause of 240 lol. I live in NYC where street musicians are sprinkled thruout the city and train stations. I say this cause like to stand and take on a good musician and 90% of what i stop for is a guy putting his passion on the pavement. And its amazing to watch live. As this would be in at least 720p. Added that I will play this from my youtube app on my TV playing directly to my speakers If you make a new one I think the added fidelity of the video would make it that more enchanted experience. It would add on to the visceral experience as a non player like me and I'll notice with clarity the accuracy and pressures needed to pull off what seems to be seamless. Seeing you go from one technique to the next in your fluid fashion. Its worth it to get a warm up practice and refilm it. Soon 4k tv's will be playing your videos!! Good lighting. Quality audio/video capture and it'll be captured and documented for the hi-fi modern age. Its worth it...and thanks for the video and sharing your skill as well. It was felt.
+Adam DeGraff omg my dad showed me to you in his car and i absoloutely loved it. your so amazballz at wht you do and i hope you cane live up to even greater expectations. owe and btw; just call me Derpy ;) + ;P

If anything in this wrecked world can save mankind, its music nd love..that's all now i can say after this
Shared to to my rock/metal group on Facebook. Hope they appreciate it as much as I did. Great job BTW.

Agradeço a indicação ;)
I saw this amazing video when I was 13 years old and I said: some day I'll play like him. Today I can say that it's possible. Thank you to inspire with you music.
Please send me a video of what you’re up to! Would love to hear you play. And thank you for the comment :-)
@@adamdegraff did you get the video ever?
My aunt walked down the aisle to this. I was her bridesmaid. Wedding was lovely. :D

that's the best violin cover i've ever heard! you're awesome!
Couldn't say any word....
God.....
It sounded like two persons are playing the violin. Wow!
this really was amazing, but some songs are just meant for certain instruments
Not gonna lie, Dank memes brought me here
Thepotato is here what is that?
Adam DeGraff some dank memes vudeos used your music to create a funny masterpiece
some desert dude that's cool. I hope it was extra dank.
Adam DeGraff it was spongbob :D
some desert dude ohhhh :-))))
Dem some skills bro. Wow Adam the soul you put into that was epic, and playing both guitars notes together one a guitar would be difficult and you do it on a fiddle. And they sounded just as Gunners do it with the highs and lows and the slow build up at the end. Thank you for sharing your passion for music with us all.
So kind of you to say! Thank you!
compro violin ya XD na mentira de supeeeeeeeeer 10
Legend speaks of men who possess the power of a whole rock band in a solo violin performance. They were gods (or at least somewhere near)
A beautiful way to bring classic and rock together, two of my favourite types of music. Well done !!!
Fantastic violin playing........5 *****+++++
Thank you!
Sounds like there is two fiddles playing at once
omg. added to favorites! Adam has complete control of that violin as much as he does his arm! From one musician to another, GREAT JOB!
ESSE CARA E O CARA, TOCA MUITO NUNCA VI TOCAR VIOLINO ASSIM,ESTÁ DE PARABÉNS AMEI!
Realmente
Hi Adam, the website that supposedly has the sheets for this piece is down. Is there a updated link where I can purchase them?
I had the same question!
119 que no entienden de música o que tienen internet solo para ver porno
How much to be my personal theme musician?
THIS IS SO COOL!
just great mate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so free in his style, yet so clean in his sound. His shaolin style is not to be trifled with.
Why is that hall empty?
Extraordinary!!!!!
Cláudio Junior thank you!
Like a boss
The office..
Um show lindo desses e ninguém na plateia?
Maybe if you've never touched a stringed instrument, then yes.
Why isn't this guy a millionaire
Alright he gave me inspiration to practise
Incredible that videos like this one, where people show a lot of actual skill, only get 1.5 millon views in 6 years... and gamer stuf, like some stupid fellows playing some crappy games and commenting whatever crosses their minds... get 4 millon almost instantanelly
I play this every morning w my breakfast and coffee....still get goosebumps every morning...thank you for this
Juan Gonzalez what's for breakfast?
Thank you for your kind words :-)
I am still learning. Wondering what I might challenge myself too. And, ya, All I can say is HOLY SHI** ! love it! Giving me something to work for now~! Long time classical musician, NOT violin. LoL So, wow!
When I listened to the wah part (climax) it made me feel a strong emotion. Bravo!!
Thanks for sharing. That's what it's all about!
I have almost no musical ability, but this makes me want to take up violin/fiddle
We Humans can do amazing stuff if we work bloody hard ! you are the prove !! just incredible.

Omg... you can do that???? Seriously, the other violin player was late, he was like f it, I can play both myself.... and he totally bring it.... wish I could play like him. Back to practice...
@vinicius lopes Sim são as 4 partes, porém o que mais me chamou a atenção no video, foi o som do violino do cara!!! Que som ... muito bom, bem afinado e um timbre show de bola
That's some HARD WORK you've done there and I love it! I wish I could play like you ;)
this is better than the paganini itself
Sweet child O'mg this song...waah😍
Can't believe it's been 15 years. Hope you're doing alright!
Hi Adam! I want to learn the violin. What's the cheapest violin do you recommend that sounds the nearest to your awesome performance? thanks!
Keep coming back to this video. First I had seen this a decade ago when I started learning violin . Such a maestro. Respects.
