I absolutely agree with everything you said 100%, but especially points: 1. If this is how the game is now, imagine when they release more, and more, and more packs. F2P will be absolutely left in the wind, and even P2P will struggle to get cards. How are we supposed to collect a completely different pack when we don't even have half of the current one out? Furthermore, any who doesn't start playing on release, but in a year, 2, 5 years is completely screwed over. 4. The flip coins are ABSURD. I really don't understand why they went so trigger happy with adding so many coin flips in the game. Half to 75% of games are decided by coin flips. I'd say that number maybe even higher given how many decks rely on coin flips.
Yea after a week I'm already getting bored cause I just don't have the cards to make the decks I want and 2 packs a day is just isnt enough. If they don't do something I'll just drift off

Agree with most points here. A lot of people on reddit are just using the excuse of "it's a collecting game". Sure it is, but do people really think that will keep a strong and healthy playerbase to keep this game going for years? Especially as a whale in other card games, I can't see a reason to even login now other than to collect the free packs and maybe play one match. Even if they introduce ranked, there just doesn't seem to be enough depth. I guess that's also one of the cons of being an early adopter. Also, I like randomness like yogg saron's puzzle box, and not moltres +3 energy into charizard to one shot me.
all company dont try to last long. They think u only got 100 year to live. u can enjoy this game at 10 year max, then u moved on older people hobbies, that how the world work now. That why the world order is extreme 2 side right now. The 100 year sentences of human, need to mix with salt, spices, and sugar. That how it is....because some try to be benevolence, some not
Yeah it's definitely geared toward collecting, but its so polished I feel like a lot of future potential. I'm really curious to see how the game progresses overtime in terms of deign, or if they focus is stay "similar" to paper pokemon and drive folks to physical collecting and playing.
Professors research is kinda needed tbh yugioh has no energy except the cards in your hand so the draw 2 just gives you another 2 activations or disruptions. You kinda need to be able to draw cards and search basics in this game or any stage 2 deck is gonna be really hard to play
Pot of greed was just the first card that came to mind. I agree that it is not a perfect comparison, but just something to think about with the card broadly. The comment section has been full of great points regarding trainers and supporters! I am very much not a game designer and can only speak to my own experience with playing the card/TCGs broadly.
@@Dellroth I get it and tbh yugioh has made cards that are even better than pot of greed that are legal now so it’s just gotten out of hand anyway😂 but I wouldn’t mind a similar professors research to the actual tcg where you have to pitch your hand to draw but that can also be really broken if you just use everything in your hand and then play it but that’s less likely since this game is slower paced
Battles feel like an afterthought. This is 100% a pack opening simulator. Beautiful work but if they want a competitive scene, it can’t be with coin flips.
I strongly disagree pretty much every single other TCG has a lot of RNG in it pokémon is just a little more direct with it but if you look at heartstone it's literally built off of RNG and that's an extremely competitive game but the same holds true in magic Yu-Gi-Oh and marvel snap
My wife spent 300 usd and she doesn't have all the cards. She just stopped playing. I personally want the deck to be at 30 and 4 points to win. A pokeball like card, but for evolutions.
Sounds like your wife has serious issues. Spending $300 on something and throwing it away in a week or less? That sounds like an addiction or gambling and does not sound healthy at all

Yeah, the crafting seems absolutely terrible, the price to craft a basic EX is completely off. Like you said, let the alt arts be expensive, that's fine, but basic exes are game pieces, and needed to build decks, they should be way cheaper to craft. I do have to say though, completely disagree with the trainers point. The Pokémon TCG is basically a setup game, in the actual big boy TCG it's common for decks to see about half of their deck on their first turn of the game. You have so many consistency pieces, the search cards are good and plenty. On Pocket, the search cards and overall consistency is terrible. The only search card you have grabs a random basic, and even with Professor's Research being proportionally stronger than the TCG counterpart, decks still lose to themselves constantly, so reducing its power would make things even worse. It's also not a problem necessarily that every deck runs the card, the TCG also has lots of staples that are run in pretty much all decks, and as the best consistency card, it is only natural that any deck will run it. Overall I think they knocked it out of the park with the balancing of the game. The powerlevel is so much lower, nothing even close to what we have on the TCG, and they really managed to make the pace and feel of the game be a certain way, and they did that precisely with the choices of the trainers and adjustments made specifically for Pocket. For instance, on the TCG, manually retreating is much rarer, you have so many switching cards, and so many free retreaters, that it became almost irrelevant to the flow of the game, while on Pocket, having almost no free retreaters, and very little energy acceleration available, having to "waste" energy retreating becames a huge deal, and a very important decision point in the course of games, because it's common for you to be charging a 3 energy attacker, one energy at a time, maybe a 4 energy attacker, and being Sabrina'd or having to retreat to prevent a KO is a huge thing, because it can really mess up your tempo, something that was almost completely gone from the TCG. It's also what makes X-speed a staple here, where it would be a completely unplayable card on the TCG. It's what makes Arbok's attack actually relevant and powerful here, where it would be completely irrelevant on the TCG. Anyway, there are many other examples, but the point is I think the balancing is on point, the power level is on point, the slower, tempo-based gameplay is on point, you can play so many different decks and really have a chance of winning with them. That's precisely where I think they did best, and I hope they manage to keep the game at this cadence and powerlevel with future expansions.
That's why a card like starmie ex is absurd, it's power level beyond other ex's because of cheap energy attack, good damage (can basically 2 shots any ex's beside venusaur), on top of that have 130HP and free retreat?? How can that one card is beyond other ex's level is absurd. And it's only a stage 1. Card that can one shot it just charizard, blastoise, Mewtwo. Even alakazam/pikachu/Ninetails with Blaine can't one shot it. All those card who can trade well with starmie have higher energy attack requirements.
@samuelkurniawan1383 raichu, zapdos, (if u roll 3 heads) marowak (if u roll 2 heads) jolteon (if u roll 3 heads) can also one shot starmie (raichu is the only 1 who can do it reliably) but everything else u said is spot on.
@@samuelkurniawan1383 Gladly, the game is not based around one-shots, now is it? And yes, Starmie is a great card, but it is nothing out of line, from the hundreds of games I've watched at this point, it is a very good card yes, but it's not some tier zero, unbeatable bullshit. It's perfectly fine.
@@DiegoDeschain yeah it's, but that card check all aggro deck, Arbok, Blaine's, can't even touch it, you just need Giovani for Arbok, trade hit and run in backline, you can't even target it to pull it out, it's always ready for 90 damage, just stupidity.
They have a few quick simple updates to do. Most notable is the duo energy decks feel horrible to play. Specifically pulling 5 electric energy in a row with a dragonite deck. It already takes so much to get online and when you finally have it up early enough oh, here’s 12 electric energy in a row, you can’t even use your ability
Agree with your points. Below is things i have been thinking of the past week. EX's are to expensive and are the central point of most decks. Perhaps they shouldn't of released EX's this early but they 100% need to reduce the pack points cost. Red card should be a supporter called "Battle Referee". Being able to use oak to find it then use it is BS imo. Maybe dual energy decks could allow you to select the energy you get each turn or at least your first energy. I feel mono decks will still be top but it could open up some unique combos. Going first seems a little weak for how fast the game is. Maybe 50% of your deck should be Pokémon.
As a free to play, i currently have 2 strong decks that beat super Pikachu decks. Its luck sometimes but i do have alot of card's, its kinda fun to not spend cus i got what i want so far and i get to fish for new stuff
Research's downside is you cant play another supporter for the turn. One that ramps energy or switches out your active or even another one to draw two cards. You could play 3 pot of greed in the same turn. Decks can be so inconsistent rn and better supporters will come into the game that will make it more of a downside.
It would be cool if ranked was based on some sort of card value of your deck. Like if you have a small collection and not multiple ex Pokémon, it could weigh the results or just only match you with people that also have similar point decks.
@@thinkinginsideout4053 I could see some backfiring based on some potential cheese decks like Articuno + 18 supports. It would need a more complicated algorithm than just points for each mon. Maybe it's just totally unnecessary and after a few rounds of losses it would just sort you into the correct elo.
You are 100% correct that the content dries up, but you make it sound like we're entitled to Marvel Snap/Hearthstone mechanics, which would be cool, but it is ridiculous to detract from the game for not meeting those particular expectations.
I just think the digital spaces provides alot of opportunities for design that is not present in the paper format. I didn't intend to come off as entitled, and apologies if I did. I would love for the developers to use the digital space as a new and exciting frontier for Pocket in the future.
I feel battling should give Pack Points. Maybe something like: 1 for winning, 50% chance of 1 point for losing Considering the main form of getting them gives a measly 5... They wouldn't be "losing" much from this.
I totally agree with you, in my country there was no way to get legit Pokemon cards with codes and the old Pokemon tcgo was so relied on that, because I had no good cards and a bad deck, it was literally unplayable, only thing I could do was to play the theme decks. Afterwards, tcg live was a disaster of a game. I really like this game, but I want this game to be a bit more rewarding for players who are willing to grind. I think you can put a high price on the flashy rare cards but everyone should be able to make decks they want pretty easily. If you spend money you should be able to build nearly every single deck and get whatever cards you like but if you are f2p you should be able to get at least some decks. I rerolled and was able to create a deck which is good, but now it feels impossible to make another deck. I made the dragonite weezing deck which has 0 ex cards but to buy just a single copy of weezing, dragonair and koffing, I had to use up all of my points. This is so insane to think of, this cost is nowhere near the cost of an ex card. I just don't want this game to be another disappointed, hopefully they put it on a right track with the upcoming trade and other such updates.
@@thinkinginsideout4053 for me it was unplayable because my phone would overheat in a few matches and it would also have many bugs. Glad that you enjoyed it, sadly I was not able to experience it.
Big agree that some sort of grinding reward would be great for F2P and keep P2P folks engaged for longer. I also have not had a great experience with PTCGL and generally have been enjoying pocket a lot more.
I see what your saying with the crafting, but if trading is pretty un-restricted, then they should be the price they are at. But if that's the case maybe make a untradeable version of each one for half the price in a separate page.
I want incentive for finishing matches. You get no xp for losing and only 15 for winning. As a f2p player or someone who only spends on the pass you might not have a complete deck. With the hyper consistency of the current meta why would I stay in a game if pickachu ex and a full bench is dropped on turn one for example. This incentivizes people to spend money on gold so you can open more packs to complete your decks. Not to mention you get 25 xp for openings a pack, when you level up you get 12 hr glasses to open another pack. I’m fine with slower progress if you don’t spend on gold but the battle system exemplifies the problem. You just can’t compete until you finish at least 1 competitive deck then you are stuck playing that. For a lot of people that was mewtwo, as the days progress though that’s falling off to the more aggressive and fast decks like stat starmie and pickachu. The problems with not spending money on gold just compound and snowball after the first few days. I think this could be partly remedied by getting some xp for losing and sticking out the match. That way you can still be making account progress. That all being said, if that all made sense, I still think the game is fun. It just becomes extremely more painful as the days progress even if you have the pass.
@@FelixThunderheart For sure. I've absolutely no problem with number. My problem is to get the xp to progress your account you have to win. Which means you need a consistent deck to make consistent gains. So if you play f2p or with just the pass, you are playing the same thing over and over which is repetive and boring. And that is if you were able to complete a deck. My own struggle is I'm missing a gardevoir for mewtwo and a muk for koga. Having the second copy in a 20 card format is an exponential increase in your consistency. I just want to feel like I'm making progess even if I lose. If there was a reward for sticking out a match it would feel better for both parties.
I have noticed this on my F2P account. I like the concept of their not being a penalty for losing on a casual mode, but agree that it would be nice to maybe get 5-10 experience for staying for the entirety of the match.
Potentially what you want is a daily exp cap from matches say 150 or so and you still get 0 for losing matchs but now you get 5 exp for winning bots matches. This ways if your deck isnt built you can get your daily exp v.s bots. The counter point is that with losers getting nothing in pvp, the pvp player base dies off as no one has the decks to play there. The sneaky alternative is if you can exp from direct matchs and you just win trade with a "friend". Which is the normal exploit for reward from winning systems.
As a Yugioh player, Draw 3 pick 2 is a stronger version of Graceful Charity (Draw 3, pick 1), which is also banned and considered by most even worse than Pot of Greed. So yea, 😂😂
Agree! Agree! Agree! Now, how do we convey to the makers of the game tho? Becaue id definitely like to see some big changes to the free to play model. I think they could increase the hourglasses you get for dailies so you get more free packs than 1 every 3 days, as you said weekly tasks, and i rhought making the ai matches give a set amount of hourglasses a day would be nice/give you a reason to play matches. I also would like the shop items to reset daily so we have a reason to spend tickets.
Comparing profesors to its regualr pokemon tcg equivlanet its quite week, as the regualr tcg one is discard you hand draw 7. I will concede that potnetially in the future proffesors might be strong, but the cost of using your only support play for the turn will likely keep it balanced. Another important factor is that currently for f2p proffesors and pokeball and such being auto includes and also free (from the tutorial deck) makes it easier to get the 20 cards needed to complete a deck. Having quests to do weird things for rewards in pvp matches is generally a horrible idea as it leads to poor player experience for opponents, and aweful expereince of the players as their force to play bad decks to get the rewards. I 100% agrees there needs to be some kinda of disenchant or deconstruction feature for the 1 diamond cards. There is already a feature to "sell" duplicate star and higher rarity cards for a special store currency, although this is capped by shine dust which im not sure how abundent this is.
The reason why the rng feels bad is because the game is so fast. With moms ramping up and can easily deal 100+ dmg it really feels like there's room for error like getting bad energies, not drawing the evolutions and flipping two tails and now can do 0dmg for the turn, they sweep your EX and now the game is over.
They also should limit uncommon card like EX/GX/V/Legend to only 1 category and only 1 card per deck or else this game will turned to become a competition of who can spam the most win the match like the tcg live.
I would like to see random ai for solo vs matches not just challenges if they have random vs matches with players they should have it with solo too specially when they can use the auto deck building for the ai too 🤷
Every deck running research is fine. I think its more of a problem that right now you need certain supporters to run these decks like misty and lt. Surge. I dont have either so i cant run water or lightning
I hope they change a lot until the global launch, ranked, trades and missions with real rewards like hourglasses. And real crafting, not flairs, come on.
When the packs keep just giving you duplicates and even duplicates of cards within the same pack, it's hard to feel excited about even the "collecting" aspect of the game. I can login and so nothing to complete dailies and then open my packs and log off. Need more to keep people around for sure.
Hey Dellroth if you remember i called most of these things from your pokemon pocket killing marvel snap video? Nothing new with the common practices of gacha or TCG games you'll need to open alot of packs to get a full collection, so how much have you spent in total to get a full collection?
@@Dellroth that not too bad at all, ty for telling us what to expect for each new expansion coming out, just too bad pack pity points are only good for the packs they open. Still for me Marvel Snap has been cheaper and I have only bought the season pass, and have a full collection maybe missing 6 So $200 per expansion plus 10 dollar season pass.
@@wildfire000777 great to hear the comparisons! Bright side snap has been out for almost 2 years I think. So depending on pockets new expansion release schedule, hopefully F2P will be able to catch up quick especially with getting the monthly pass.
Unfortunately with how Pokemon TCG Live was handled it is possible that everything we get in this “pre-release” is everything that will be at launch besides bug fixes and potentially some Launch promo to encourage people to start playing the game at launch
Great points. Again these are just some hopes I'd thing improve the quality of the game. I really dont expect to see them any time soon (or even at all). But I can hope! Especially for some sort of rank ladder. That's gotta be #1 for me.
IMO nerfing the Professor would change the pace. Given that the game would last longer than it should. When the game is being advertised as quick Pokemon battles last maybe 5 to 7 mins.
Do they have an official discord for pocket tcg? Its good if they have we can have a good discussion that need to fix. As a f2p player its so hard to build atleast 2 working decks
Great Q! I personally love dragonite. I think its an excellent way they introduced digital randomness into the game. Would love to see more cards like this
The downside of Research is that it takes up a Supporter play. Which is pretty important as things like Sabrina, or Brock or Giovanni. I've had times I've Researched into Giovanni when I needed that 10D. Research being a Supporter makes it less problematic than I initially thought, and much better power level wise than the Pot of Greed you compared that to. Don't get me wrong, it's still way powerful and not great design to me.
Honestly prof. Research isn't a bad card yugioh and the pot of greed references is a terrible example as that game has never known what format it wants to play in and there are cards in that game that make the pot of greed broken but this is the 1st "set" we need staple cards and let the later sets to come let decks diversify into new archetypes like mill/stall etc etc
I agree with you in principle but I don't think some of your points apply. Professor's research isn't Pot Of Greed. You can only play one supporter per turn and you can play unlimited magic cards in Yugioh. So you can't always mindlessly play that card. Also yes, 13 of 226 cards use coin flips. That's not even 6%. Yes, some of those like Moltres or Misty are used frequently but they empower Charizard which is a fan favourite and Starmie EX which is maybe the most op card in the game right now
If professor research become gracefull charity, its more broken than what its now, because you can cheat your evo line, by making them 1-2-2 to make it more consistent with pokeball, and if professor research draw 3 and discard 2, this game will became charizard fest.
Most good deck builders are playing 8-12 trainers in every deck. running any less makes your deck way too inconsitent with too many pokemon clog your hand. proffessor getting nerfed would be horrible for consistency.
Coin flip in this game is necessary, in a game that does not have defensive/counter mechanics. Imagine if all effect and bonus dmg are having 100% hit, it will be a disaster.
ten card perday for ftp sure will make this game get abandon fast...at least let us grind some hourglass from battle other player, but its just give some exp from battle, for me,im more likely to collect card rather than battle....so they must included some feature to encourage player go battle so they may get some card in return
The f2p experience so far from my experience is very…meh. The two packs a day are nice, but after you get a majority of things, you mainly just get a bunch of dupes, and this is probably just my bad luck, but after the first few days, I’ve not gotten a single EX or full art card, hell I’ve rarely gotten a stage 2 Pokémon out of the 12 free packs I’ve opened so far. Crafting sucks, it’s way too expensive, and only 5 points per pack feels awful, and just makes it harder to get base cards
Id say because the game relies on energy to do anything, if your deck doesnt have an energy engine like moltres, lilligant, misty (when she works) etc.. the game is so ridiculously slow that professor and pokeball dont do much. Especially since they can be basically negated with red card They dont break the game or anything. Agree interest is going to dissipate fast if they dont find a way to speed up pack opening. Like make it every 6 hours instead of 12. Then the game gives u a minimum of 4 packs a day even to f2p's. Im only on my 3rd day with the game and battles are getting repetitive and dull. And sure its a collecting game, but then getting just a couple packs a day makes collecting slow and unsatisfying.
Pot of Greed..? It's Bill!!!!! Also, you're wrong about the other gym leaders, they all have good use, outside Brock and mostly Blaine because those pokemon suck hard ATM.
Also this game really forces you to always build a mono decks only with the exception of dragonite. I know this game still not on global but this mechanic is not good at all.
The battling is so lame. Part of the fun and joy of collecting physical cards is their value. Since these are digital only cards the only value in them besides simply collecting is battling with them. But the battling is so watered down and dumb compared to the real tcg. Most games end with a concede once someone gets their ex and just starts stomping. There no deep mechanics or comback potential since its only 3 prize points and you get every automatically every round. So none of those fun rewarding moments when youre losing but play for the late round comeback building you pokemon in the back bench. 4 or 5 points or even bringing back the prize card system with at least 40 card decks could have made the battles a lot more fun
Bro, oak is absolutely needed, this is not yugioh, you need to draw cards to progress in your turn, it’s what gives consistency to your deck. I don’t understand you guys playing for one week and already wanting nerfs. I think there are worse cards in the game to worry about, like Dragonite, that should be banned, but I know they won’t do either, because they’re not Konami, they’ll let it roll.
Not with you on the coin flipping. Pokémon games at its core are RNG based games. This is evident in both the video games and physical trading card games. I mean, the physical Pokémon card game has a bunch of coin flipping, at least in the past.
Totally see that side! Just wish they might take a bit more advantage with the digital client. I'd even be pretty stoked to have some dice roll cards to mix it up a bit.
I dont understand all the people complaining in the comments, yeah this is mainly a card collection app with the gameplay being a secondary focus but considering the huge amount of pokemon TCG fans who exclusively collect cards and have no interest in playing the game there is a very big target demographic and it makes sense from a design perspective. If your focus is exclusively on battling there already exists an app for that in pokemon TCG live. A lot of the complaints seem to simply be people not understanding that they are not the target audiance. If you are the target audiance though this app is great and will only get better with the addition of events and trading in the future.
This might be true. Been burned by the Giovanni a bit too many times at this point. 10 points in theory seems bad, but that break point is defo losing me some games.
does noone understands the meaning of softlaunch? ofc there is gonna be trade , regular events and lots of other features...card changes probably not but i doubt they will change professor card cause they want a faster gameplay and it enables that....but srsly stop judging without reason bruh...its in soft launch there will much much more things to do once it releases globally

@@hyperhoopa we know . cause multiple people were invited to test the game before soft launch and in there events and stuff were available and has posted vdos about those....if you search you will know...for exmp - spragels.
I really dont think much will change at all by the end of October. Perhaps trading will be live, but anything else would be shocking from my perspective. It might be a soft launch, but this seems to be far more about the servers and how the game runs, not core aspects of the game. I hope the devs put out a road map. Again these are just some points I wanted to bring up after playing for a bit.
@@Dellroth those features like weekly and special events were already available when some content creators were invited for test run even before soft launch...you can check the spragels vdo....they only removed those from soft launch is probably cause they wanted to slow the f2p progression before launch ig.

I am more convince the earth jail theory. We are "forgivable sinner", So we don't get better option, we get 1 side want to punish us, another 1 side that forgive us and try to be humane.
I’m not here to collect 100% I’ve been wanting a TCG game since the gameboy version. I just want to have a good story and card battles .
Every form of Pokemon is kinda rng
My wife spent 300 usd and she doesn't have all the cards. She just stopped playing. I personally want the deck to be at 30 and 4 points to win. A pokeball like card, but for evolutions.
Sounds like your wife has serious issues. Spending $300 on something and throwing it away in a week or less? That sounds like an addiction or gambling and does not sound healthy at all
@@SporeVenom People had spendable cash, is more healthy than most people. As long as they do their routine right, and don't party all day night, smoking or beer all days... Maybe that idea of yours might be rank
Weekly misions, rotating pve challenges, weekly shop refresh, etc
@@phlpcockrell raichu needs 5 cards tho, from Pikachu into lt surge.
@@DiegoDeschain yeah it's, but that card check all aggro deck, Arbok, Blaine's, can't even touch it, you just need Giovani for Arbok, trade hit and run in backline, you can't even target it to pull it out, it's always ready for 90 damage, just stupidity.
ah, my favourite pokomons, Rattatatta :) @3:35
Probably not the last time Rattatatta will make a feature
When pokemon tcg was released, professor oak card discarded your hand and grabbed a new one
As a free to play, i currently have 2 strong decks that beat super Pikachu decks. Its luck sometimes but i do have alot of card's, its kinda fun to not spend cus i got what i want so far and i get to fish for new stuff
I feel like this on my F2P account, too. A challenge in deck building can be really fun and rewarding when it works!
I could see the devs just wanting something super simple and balanced for launch, when they add more cards things will get way better
There is absolutely no incentive to playing the game besides opening packs.
Maybe something like: 1 for winning, 50% chance of 1 point for losing
Considering the main form of getting them gives a measly 5... They wouldn't be "losing" much from this.
@@thinkinginsideout4053
Yeah, no conceding is a given.
But I still feel giving a guaranteed prize incentivices suicide decks
Need ranked with reward and losing battle reward(just half the winning or something) because battle doesnt really mean much
I want incentive for finishing matches.
I'm going to add that this 15 xp is fine. I wish if you changed it from beginning to a harder random battle it need reward more exp
Took me just over $300 and a small amount of crafting. I was able to make 95% of the things I wanted with just over $200. All and all not horrible
@@Dellroth that not too bad at all, ty for telling us what to expect for each new expansion coming out, just too bad pack pity points are only good for the packs they open.
Still for me Marvel Snap has been cheaper and I have only bought the season pass, and have a full collection maybe missing 6
So $200 per expansion plus 10 dollar season pass.
@@wildfire000777 great to hear the comparisons! Bright side snap has been out for almost 2 years I think. So depending on pockets new expansion release schedule, hopefully F2P will be able to catch up quick especially with getting the monthly pass.
I hope we can exchange duplicate for pack points not just for flair
Unfortunately with how Pokemon TCG Live was handled it is possible that everything we get in this “pre-release” is everything that will be at launch besides bug fixes and potentially some Launch promo to encourage people to start playing the game at launch
Different developers tho. But your concern is pretty valid.
Great points. Again these are just some hopes I'd thing improve the quality of the game. I really dont expect to see them any time soon (or even at all). But I can hope! Especially for some sort of rank ladder. That's gotta be #1 for me.
Ranked battles and rewards will fix so many issues
IMO nerfing the Professor would change the pace. Given that the game would last longer than it should. When the game is being advertised as quick Pokemon battles last maybe 5 to 7 mins.
Do they have an official discord for pocket tcg? Its good if they have we can have a good discussion that need to fix. As a f2p player its so hard to build atleast 2 working decks
They need to redesign the cards so they are easier to read on mobile
10:16 What do you think about Dragonite? It has a random attack which doesn't require a coin flip.
They need to remove revealing the other cards after wonder pick. Just adds to feelsbad if you didnt pick the choice u were going to pick
Yes, some of those like Moltres or Misty are used frequently but they empower Charizard which is a fan favourite and Starmie EX which is maybe the most op card in the game right now
hearthstone discover? my god please no
If professor research become gracefull charity, its more broken than what its now, because you can cheat your evo line, by making them 1-2-2 to make it more consistent with pokeball, and if professor research draw 3 and discard 2, this game will became charizard fest.
If its changed to draw 2 discard 1, that will be a good change.
Put ALL trainer cards in the store. They are too game-changing/powerful.
Anyone should be able to spend store tickets to buy two Sabrinas.
unpopular opinion but decks need to be 30 cards
I mean…
It’s just a beta test period. They haven’t released the full product yet along with events and promotions.
oak is not that broken since red cart is a thing. i always have 1 or 2 red card for when people use oak
Off topic, but how do you make purchases in the game? I’m an iOS user in the United States
check of my friend Nina's Video she did a great explination: th-cam.com/video/QYQW7uFHyU8/w-d-xo.html
I think a very cool idea would be that winning pvp battles gives you an ammount of hourglasses so that if you want to grind for packs you can
"Rattatatas" 😂 that's a "ta" overboard
It happens to the best of us 😅
Pot of Greed..? It's Bill!!!!!
Also, you're wrong about the other gym leaders, they all have good use, outside Brock and mostly Blaine because those pokemon suck hard ATM.
Fancy seeing you here 😂. Chase is right potion, PokeBall, prof, x speed, geovani, Sabrina, misty, Erika, red card are all great cards.
I wish you can replay a match
Also this game really forces you to always build a mono decks only with the exception of dragonite. I know this game still not on global but this mechanic is not good at all.
Good thinking.... Love your videos and how you speak 👍👍👍
I hate Moltres already. Cards like that break the game.
Just like what I thought, it is indeed P2W, I had like 4 days of fun opening packs, now I just wait wait wait and wait some more, or grind on battles.
Its a mobile game made to milk your credit card
I have no interest in battling in this game simply because it's not the real tcg. I'll just stick to looking at the nice artwork from collecting.
Why you say Rattatata?

I dont understand all the people complaining in the comments, yeah this is mainly a card collection app with the gameplay being a secondary focus but considering the huge amount of pokemon TCG fans who exclusively collect cards and have no interest in playing the game there is a very big target demographic and it makes sense from a design perspective.
If your focus is exclusively on battling there already exists an app for that in pokemon TCG live. A lot of the complaints seem to simply be people not understanding that they are not the target audiance. If you are the target audiance though this app is great and will only get better with the addition of events and trading in the future.
you are insanely sleeping on giovanni, its one of the best cards in the entire game in most decks
draw 3 keep 2 is a direct upgrade to professor oak, you just said hey why not give us graceful charity instead of pot of greed
