This was a great exhibition. I went with two fellow Jam fans. I was so nostalgic and struck up many conversations with load of people of my age. I was a teenager again for couple of hours. You could hear everybody telling everybody else that vital information that only they thought they knew then bam there it was. e.g. the Ibanez badge replaced by a Rickenbacker badge on the bass.
I’m a young Jam fan, 17 yrs old, soon as I heard them, that was it for me, I wanted all there clothes, I collected all their records, I’m going to see from the Jam in October and I’ve bought my badger shoes ready for it
hi matey if you live around the north west of england and oldham rochdale then try and catch the tribute band (the jam restart) one of the best doing the rounds th-cam.com/video/M_Pq_ZYldc8/w-d-xo.html
Bless ya mate, from an old git who remembers getting a pair of badgers in 1982 (from Melanddi's if i remember right). Hope the Jam inspire and educate you the way they did me. Keep the flag flying...
Really starting to HATE youtube. So many fu**ing adverts. Spend some of the income on the subtitles. Try a spellcheck and a hearing test for the person/machine "doing" the subtitles. Just to be clear-I will NEVER pay subscriptions to use youtube. But near constant adverts will see me going elsewhere for entertainment.
The Jam, though mighty, showed only one side of Paul, who evidently isn't a one-trick pony. Hate all you want, but he had the vision to walk away at the peak rather than dragging on and tarnishing that legacy. Despise all you want, The Style Council was the outlet that manifested the breadth and depth of Paul's gift. The black soul in this white boy just had to be liberated and the results spoke for themselves. To this day, I maintain that Confessions of a Pop Group is his best work up to that time.
It’s great to see all the band members playing a part in the exhibition, really enjoyed this 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
Lucky to have seen The Jam play live...and at this and the exhibition in London.
Never be a band like the jam ever. Simply the greatest band of all time.
Next 2 the Human League (my heroes 4ever) that is.
My youth was amazing because of this band, I am lucky to own one of the scooters that was on display at the exhibition
l love The Jam!
Arh Rick buckler, will never forget him nodding to me while I was sitting on the side of the stage imitating his drumming ..deeside
Rick is fabulous......in my top-ten all-time drummers list certainly.....Funeral Pyre is the best showcase of his skills
@@ABCarr56 absolutely
Just got back from my first visit to Liverpool. Loved it.

Went to see the exhibition today. Fabulous.
Great job sir, lived in Manchester at the time of the bomb, living in Ireland now, ( it wasn't me ), long live the Jam
Well done Den. I probably bought my old 'jam tapes' off him many years ago. Still have most of them!

Weather Paul likes it or not, the jam will always be around, that's just the way it is 🎯
Well he put them back on the dole ,,,probably lucky they didnt knock him out
He moved on. Didn't want to become like the Rolling Stones, and all the other cabaret acts.

Paul Weller is Lennon and Yoko combined!
Getting rid of wishy washy pop...yeah maybe for a bit...then the fucking Style Council ruined everything !
Why was this in Liverpool not London?! Far better Liverpool bands at the time...than London based mod pretenders the Jam...
Plastic mods
Paul Weller hates nostalgia. I think he found it embarrassing. I find it embarrassing.
He looked fine on here its history part of his history.
Hates nostalgia his whole career is about nostalgia
Paul Weller loves looking back, look how much he went back and ripped off The Sex Pistols 'Holidays In The Sun' on that beginning song......
The Way I've heard it....Steve Jones admitted to actually ripping off The Jam's "In the City"....for the "Holidays" riff.....
Yeh........Thats why he does loads of jam and SC tracks live now
Great band. What Weller did after The Jam is a travesty.
In your (pointless) opinion.
