I am a pop/ r&b singer/ song writer, who studied classical music from a child...into my adulthood. Mostly, the public doesn't know of my love for classical music, so I'm happy that I can express my thoughts on this page! Philippe Jaroussky!!! LOL! One of the most pure, organic, clear, wonderful...amazing voices, that I've ever heard! Also the control, the perfect pitch of each and every note, is just breath taking! When it comes to opera singers, I couldn't get enough of Pavarotti (mostly with Puccini), but now...I have someone else to love! hats off to Philippe Jaroussky!!!

Happy that you found him!! I have been his ardent fan since 2007, follow his concerts whenever my time permits. Heard this twice in a six year span. He was amazing !! Greatest countertenor of our time and great human being. Can't have enough of him.
I absolutely love his voice, and he is equally great both on stage and in his recording. And he is not just a fabulous. fabulous singer, he is an exceptional human being.

This young man is a miracle.
it is bitter to have to accept that the incredible MUSIC of this eternal genius has been literally forgotten for over two centuries ...
That Vivaldi then ended his life in poverty and forgotten is absolutely inexplicable ... Man is ungrateful and limited by his very nature ...
But now, no matter if by chance or merit, he is given back what was taken from him without his fault ...
I hope you can enjoy it as we enjoy these undeserved gifts of inestimable value.

Interesante como la noche y las sombras, dentro del orden de la canción, son vivamente representadas en la agresiva armonía con que se desarrolla: ¡violines muy a lo Vivaldi! Y esa voz, oh, esa voz: a uno lo regocija el desespero de pensar en los virtuosos pulmones que exige semejante canción para poder ser recreada. Y la mañana, la mañana, radicalmente distinta, más suave, más tenue y cándida. Uno la percibe con mayor dulzura después de la agitada noche, como un sol que nace después de que la noche perece, que siempre nacera para recibir los despojos de una noche de truenos, de guerra, de miseria. Como ese sol que jamás dejara de brindarnos con su luz, con su belleza: la más pura esperanza. Hermosa canción.

Jaroussky c'est la force de la stabilite dans la, voix. "Ce n'est pas en se faisant entendre (uniquement), mais en restant stable, qu'on porte le plus loin le projet humain" (1984, George Orwell). La voix de Philippe est celle d'un résistant à Big Brother. C'est la voix qui surgit et que rien ni personne ne peut ni arrêter, ni ébranler, ni interdire. Majestueux. Sa voix fonctionne comme un doigté. C'est magique.

Bon, maintenant vous pouvez comparer avec la version Orlinski, qui était là il y a quelques minutes....
C'est autre chose ! La relève est assurée, et même pas besoin de hausser le son ....Maintenant c'est moi qui m'en file une dose chaque jour, j'adore toutes ces fantaisies carnavalesques qui me mettent de bonne humeur . En version Orlinski je précise !

satisfaction. Another great CD is Pergolesi's "Stabat Mater" by
Direc. Diego Fasolis, Jaroussky & Lezhneva singing. The CD was
chosen as the best Classical Disc by the World Classic Music.
Stabat Mater is absolutely exquisite but the great surprise was
"Laudate Pueri Dominum". Those two singers voices soaring in praise of LIFE & MUSIC !!
I prefer the version with Direc. Stutzmann, with Jaroussky and Barther. Absolutely magical. How does he do it???

Finally he recorded this in his latest CD "Pieta". There is deluxe edition with the DVD. I cannot get that in USA. I hope you can pick the choice. His singing
is more refined and subtle. I was at this concert in summer of 2011 at Schleswig - Holstein. It was a great moment.
