Want to know how to make Act 3, along with every other Act, even easier? And do you want the greatest view DD2 has to offer while doing it? Then give Hellion a go! She'll carry your team all the way to the mountain, then carry you with her buff arms! "Wow, how can I try Hellion?" I hear you ask. Well, for the low, low price of reading my fanfic, Hellion will cut down all those cosmic horrors just for you! Don't delay, call today!
Man just cleared final boss with her. Unfortunately poor Reynauld couldn't make it due to me figuring out mechanics of fantoms and he gor blasted with 30+ crit twice. o7
Finished Grand Slam with The Usual Suspects, just as I conquered the Heart of Darkness with them, now they returned destroy The Body of Work. Carried Junia's fat ass through all acts, she tried to throw during at 2. Act 3 still haunts me by Deaths Dooring 3 people at once because of a poorly planned turn. But i made it.
I am 3/5 acts completed for Grand Slam! Just cleared Obsession by Malediction SHREDDING the final boss. Here is my comp, wish me luck! Rank 4 - Occultist - Warlock - All Rank Damage and Combo Generator. Rank 3 - Plague Doctor - Surgeon - All Rank Damage and Healing. (No one tell Red Hook how insane Incision actually is.) Rank 2 - Flagellant - Wanderer - The Undying Tank and All Rank Damage. Rank 1 - Crusader - Wanderer - Frontline Damage, Tank/Heal Support, highly potent with the combo generation from Occultist. I have tinkered around a bit with comps but this one I feel very good about.
Not gonna lie, this had me laughing so hard. Keep it up Shuff! love watching these highlights. Love R4nger's edits, they really make the video so good.
What happened to PD at the Exemplar is basically the Alchemist experience for me. The Blight resist pierce feels too good to pass up but the lower HP results in her getting one-shot to Deaths Door and killed by a random DoT half the time, she's the hero most likely to die out of nowhere with that path. I think you NEED a reliable tank to use her safely, otherwise shit like this happens. Don't want to backseat because it's not cool but I feel like you needed Intimidate on Leper for that fight, though I can see why you wouldn't bring it in the moment, hindsight is 20/20 and all that.
@@madleap1364I know I’m late but to kill lair bosses that aren’t the general or the librarian you really do need someone who does damage and has trinkets that give strength or crit or preferably both. This game is literally just a damage race and 3 shotting bosses with 3 leper crits in a row is basically a must sometimes. You can kill general easier using items to hit the tap root and librarian is just… librarian.
It is amazing that the base stun change on so many heros is so low that even after you get the 40% buff after a stun there is still a scary chance that you will get stunned again 11:12 yep exactly my face everytime
Bro I like the Barricades fights BECAUSE they can only target the front 2 ranks. It puts a specific kind of pressure on you. A lot of enemies in this game can reach rank 3, for some reason, so I like this. The Barricades dealing 2 fucking Bleed on Melee hit is mega-BS though, I will agree.
Finally beat a grand slam run with a team of Alchemist P.D., Banneret Crusader, Wanderer/Antagoniste Duelist, and Ravager Hellion! Really proud of the team actually, it worked super well! I'd recommend trying it out if you haven't already! Lots of healing and stress healing, good reach, good damage, and it dances not bad. Used Wanderer on duelist for all but act 3 for debuff support on FF. Didn't make a ton of difference tbh, I mostly used Meditate, Fleche, and Ruthless Instruction when Hellion needed to not die. I liked wanderer otherwise due to the riposte stance buffs and better touche damage when needed. Main issue I found with it was Hellion sometimes getting out of position due to turn order shenanigans. Had a couple close calls since I got ordained collector twice (one sturdy) in act 3 but aside from that it was pretty smooth sailing.
the fact the barricades are just immune to everything except burn is so needlessly frustrating for no reason. Obviously it can't bleed and sure Flag and PD don't really need to be stronger but why are they immune to blight?
I like how the one person who said "you played unsafe" just immediately shut their trap once shuff explained what exactly happened and how its unavoidable. Its always funny
I defetead resentment today for the first time! I didn't have all the hero skills and paths but I managed to get the full 6 positive relationships (with Leper and Hellion having 20 affinity) which didn't carried me that much but helped. This time I was prepared
Is there any chance you could make a guide on controlling stress without a stress healer? Cause it definitely feels more difficult than it did in the first Darkest Dungeon.
The main thing that irks me about the new encounters is that they were added in the binding blade dlc alongside the duelist, and they make one of her paths completely useless. U cant stack intrepide in these fights unless she's literally afk spamming preparation and meditation. Very strange to add a new encounter to shit on one of the new character's paths.
After many tries and around 50 hours of attemps I've finished Grand Slam. I think that act 4 is fairly more difficult than act 3, but both of them are kind of unfair.
Not a fan of 3 man, its like use those positional requiring blinds that barely exist in the game and that extremely rare combat item I haven't seen in 4 runs. Run a dodge team and have ff spam steal your dodge+ every turn and he's totally going to behold the guy on your team who cant gen them and inevitably force deaths doors. I'd get my vessel hollowed or take deep breath into dying light on my ravager/leper any day.
Sorry but is to funny to look at ppl getting fkd by the RNG in this game 🤣, u can't do nothing about it but laugh , DD2 give DD2 takes.............. Aaaaaand my Flag died by a fkign Exemplar on the first DD check (whit the +10 DB from the positive quirk) afther a 30+ crit from 3/4 hp on the night i poster this comment just FML(still love thsi game).😂
That's every run for me. Even if my team is completely killing it, some BS where the game literally cheats happens right as I'm at max time investment.
It's definitely not boring, but feeling shafted isn't great either. Sure it's DD, but getting out of a Levi straight into a random collector 6 steps down the road, followed by exemplar w very low health type situations are annoying. Or getting random very debilitating quirks Coward, etc as you pull into inn 4 with bad store itemization for removal, creating a complete potential breakage of your existing comps happens too often for my liking. I mean yeah, it happens, it's DD, but when 5 runs go bad in a row after 2+ hours in, the game definitely goes into the penalty box for a good while. OP comps nullify most of this, but that does get old fast. Some runs just feel like ez mode right up until the game just completely unloads hitting every 50/50 while you miss everything, get shuffled, focused, etc. I've been on both sides of this discussion too many times to not realize that there are very strong merits to both sides. RNG keeping the game interesting and never a foregone conclusion is the best argument for allowing transformative RNG to remain as is- but it really can be crushing at times. I don't like walking away from any run (or any title for that matter) feeling screwed and when they stack up it's exponentially crushing. Lifelong fan of the game, btw, I'm just in a morale slump. @@wolfrost9915
So, here's some honest feedback: I really didn't enjoy this video. It was *way* too whiny for my taste. My advice would be to either enforce a "no backseating" rule in the stream, or alternatively for you (Shuff) to not engage with the backseaters. I get that it can be an entertaining tongue-in-cheek back and forth kinda thing sometimes, but this really didn't feel like it.
The fact that he has not muted or banned anyone from chat is a testament to shuffles patients 😂
Shuff got afflicted with 'abusive' towards the end of the stream fr fr lol.

wow what a flawless run, bravo to whoever suggested this team!
Wish Red Hook would make size 1 Ghouls so we can fight 4x at once
Im convinced barricades exist to justify runaway
I finally got my Grand Slam achievment today and I still believe that act 3 is the hardest. I hate that shit.
