I agree. It is weird that nobody else is mentioning this. There's all kinds of impossible mode tutorials on TH-cam, but nobody mentions the method in this video.
I did this right before the game tried to screw me over on chapter 8, I got stuck in place in zero gravity with enemies all around me, glad I saved right before that happened.
To be honest impossible is easy in this game. Just use only two weapons, keep one to farm ammo to sell, and buy stasis and health as much as u need. Also if u respect the suit with 5000 credits u get to recharge both health and stasis. Is pretty easy to never die.
I’m on Medium mode… I just started this game never played before but based off this video. The necromoprhs don’t seem more challenging on Impossible mode than they are on medium… I’m guessing they just spawn MORE enemies at once in impossible?? Anyways I’m at chapter 3 and just discovered the impossible mode rewards… is it worth it to finish or should I just start over now on impossible?
Even though ive played original on xbox one x, im playing this on easy cause ive never played with an ai director. Though i do plan on playing impossible for the foam finger, i want to get a feel for the director and ship layout changes. This will take some practice, but i want the foam finger.
@Cheezgator It was fun and easy! I pretty much always had 50+ ammo for both weapons, and the Contact Beam was basically a long-range delete button when I needed something gone. It's super ammo efficient. It kills advanced slashers in 2 shots. How was the force gun?
@@MaleWingDiver it was pretty good I mainly used it for crowd control, and for the small necromorphs that jump on you that you have to shake off, mainly good for close distance, I used the plasma cutter half the time
Playing 16 hours without doing glitchs. Start chapiter 12, wanna try the wall hack in the beggining for finally finish this fucked impossible mode. Fail the wall jump, fall, dying like a fuckin cheater... lose 16 hours. I hate myself for not playing legit to the end.
So the one save slot means you can save as many times as you want but I have to play the full 10-12 hours nonstop? I can’t just save and quit and then return from my last save the next day?
You can save as many times as you want and you can also save quit and continue the next day, you don’t have to play nonstop the only way you lose the save if you die so when you die pause and quit and load the save again
I played the game on normal, hard, and now Impossible mode. While I don't get to bring any previous save upgrades, Impossible doesn't feel that hard because I know what to expect. But, having this method of bypassing the death run is assuring to have as a fail safe. I never really died to necro attacks, but to dumb glitches that caused me to get stuck.
Ok. This does indeed work with Steam/PC version of this game. I've already done it. Works every time. Makes impossible mode very easy. Basically, it's exactly the same as hard mode. No difference whatsoever.
so it will let you save more that once???? i think dead space 2 impossible gave you like 3 times you could save and that was it. so i want to make sure i understand this correctly?!?!?!?
You can save more than once but you only get one save slot. You also get one life when you die it’s game over and the difficulty will be lowered from impossible to hard.
Feel free to ask anything man. you can pass the save it’s possible it just depends on the area and the enemies you’re gonna be going against if that’s why you’re trying to say. I still saved anyway just in case even if I didn’t die.
As someone who has played a lot of dead space over the years, Impossible was actually quite easy for me. People can play their games however they want, but using exploits always seems so cheap to me. I can understand exploits for game bugs or RNG type bullshit, but this game is not really a slog to get through if you approach it in a smarter way. I wish there was an achievement for completing Impossible without upgrading your suit, that might actually be tricky and it’s how I’m going to do my next run.
@@cameronnovy3718 I agree for the most part, but there are definitely certain areas that can ruin your run very easily. For instance in some of the puzzles and the section where you have to dispose of the nuke, you can get instakilled. I just started my impossible run after my second NG+ playthru and I’m hoping that I can just do it legit without this exploit tbh but if not atleast I won’t lose all my progress.
Absolute BS. I was killed by a stasised environmental hazard, which was out of pocket, so no. It's not about just skill. Sometimes it's unfair BS. And don't let me even start how this game tends to softlock at times.
Perma death in story games are stupid asf. I don't enjoy losing hours of progress just to witness 40 unskippable cutscenes again. If they wanted it to be a rogue like they should be made a rogue like. Perma death trophies in story games are trash.
It's kinda weird that no one has mentioned this before.
This seems a lot more manageable then going to your cloud save everytime.
The cloud save is essentially just a failsafe

Thanks man! Hope your run is going well!
Funny thing I was wondering if this was possible and then your video showed up proving this thank you kind sir
Just beat it last night using this method a couple of times

I'm on it right now and I've died twice in 6 chapters, I just left before the black screen and I'm still in my save.

Can you do NG+ on Impossible Mode? If so I have to play 2 times in order to get both trophies?
Literally just go Plasma Cutter/Contact Beam. Only upgrade the Contact Beam when your suit and cutter are at their current max.
I went plasma cutter and force gun! How did the contact beam fair for you?
